I had my roof replaced so they came to remove the panels, but then took 2 years to come back to put them back on. Now they call and threaten me and say I owe them all this money, they make an agreement with me, I think we are ok, then next thing I know I’m being called and threatened again and back to square one. And all they say is that the other person should not have made the agreement with me.

If I could give SunStrong ZERO stars, I would.

My experience with SunStrong has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. Dealing with my leased solar system has been far more difficult than it should be, and I have not received the level of customer service or help I expected.

When you’re dealing with something as expensive and long-term as a solar agreement, you expect clear answers, good communication, and a company that actually helps resolve problems. That has not been my experience with SunStrong.

I would strongly encourage anyone considering a solar lease that may be serviced by SunStrong to carefully read every part of the agreement, understand who will own and service the system, and ask what happens if you later want to buy out or transfer the agreement.

Based on my experience, if zero stars were an option, that is what I would give.

THE WORST ----Transfer Dept. Does NOT respond to emails in timely manner. Customer Service do not really understand their own products. You will get one answer from one person and a different answer for another one. I suggest to ONLY deal with them by email so you have documentation on what you're told.

Run. Worst billing. Try to call? You need hours of press 1, press 3, select?. Pay you bill, you still get harassed. Sell the house, still get collections. Departments don’t communicate. You have to call each department. It’s always someone else’s does that, not me

Everything that could go wrong went wrong and is still going wrong. On 8/10/26 I saw a strange man on my video door cam entering my backyard. I had a similar situation approximately 2 years ago and deja vu I thought could this be a problem with my solar panels . So when I got home I checked and it was. They were down. I originally have my system from Sunnova but they went belly up and SunStrong took over. That strange man wasn't from SunStrong but from Eversource my electric company. They are more on the ball than SunStrong. They came to do an equipment check to make sure their meter was working properly since they do employ enough people to do the job semiproperly. I later found that my system was down since 6/18/26 and still is. I have had the unfortunate experience of having to call SunStrong multiple times over the last 10 days and have gotten basically aggrevated. The only thing I have accomplished so far is to get an appointment for a technician to come on 8/31 and that was like pulling teeth to get done. Any questions haven't been answered if they sound like they are answering you they're either bs'n you or outright lieing. When held to give you an answer and directly told that you know what they are doing they have gone to the lengths of telling me to call my lawyer and hanging up. I guess I have a lawyer now that I don't know about. It would take me a day to fully tell everything they did over a three day period over the past 10 days. Just know if you have a choice DON"T CHOOSE SUNSTRONG as you SOLAR COMPANY they are UNDERHANDED LIERS and who do everything and anything to delay or just not do what they are suppose do per your legally binding agreement they just don't care!!!!!!!

I sent emails to them. They didn't ever respond. I am set up with an account with them. They bought out my previous solar company management and they never informed me when they had accidentally taken these payment out late and when it's was returned as insufficient funds they charged me a $25 fee and are indicating that I didn't pay it even though I have proof on my credit card statement that I paid that without the autopay discount of $15

I'm unfortunately stuck with them due the fact that they bought my previous solar company management sonova out so I'll just have to be extra vigilant.

Felonious scammers!

I terminated my contract with Sunnova on March 20, 2023. Sunnova failed to complete my installation to the contractual obligations and refused to do much as even respond when I provided a list of their material breaches. Sunstrong was fraudulently sold my debt by Sunnova and now are harassing me for payment. I still do not have the system I contracted for. I have provided Sunstrong with all the evidence yet they continue to harass me. These fraudsters need to be investigated.

Absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

Our home closing is now in jeopardy because SunStrong Management has failed to complete the solar transfer for the buyers despite weeks of repeated phone calls and follow-ups. We have done everything we were asked to do, yet we continue to receive delays, inconsistent information, and no meaningful progress.

Buying or selling a home is already one of the most stressful experiences a family can go through. No homeowner should have to worry that a solar company will be the reason their closing falls apart. Unfortunately, that is exactly what we’re facing.

Every day we call, we’re told to wait, someone will call us back, or that another department is handling it. Those promises have not led to a resolution. There has been no sense of urgency, no accountability, and no concern for the serious financial consequences their delays could cause.

The emotional stress this has created for our family has been overwhelming. A company that markets itself as customer-focused should understand that when a closing date is approaching, every day matters. Instead, we have been left feeling ignored and powerless while our sale hangs in the balance.

If you’re considering doing business with SunStrong Management, I strongly encourage you to think about what happens if you ever need timely customer support. Our experience has been incredibly disappointing, and I would not recommend this company based on the way our situation has been handled.

I sincerely hope someone from SunStrong Management sees this review and finally takes ownership of our case before our home sale is impacted any further.

UPDATE 8/27/2026: My system was fixed by the company I originally signed the contract with. In order to get things moving, I had to file a formal complaint against the sales company and Sunstrong with the consumer rights agency in my area. I recommend doing the same if Sunstrong is not being responsive. I also recommend filing a complaint with the FTC. This company should be formally investigated.

There is a total lack of service and breach of maintenance terms by Sunstrong.

My system is showing an issue with a microinverter and despite multiple communications, the company has failed to schedule a technician. Instead they keep emailing me to tell me my system is producing even though it is not producing to capacity. I would know, as I have had this system for almost three years. Because Sunstrong controls the system infrastructure/lease agreement, they are contractually obligated to maintain this equipment.

I will update this review if Sunstrong contacts me with a concrete date for a certified technician to visit my home and review the system. Until then, expect zero communication or service if your equipment fails.

Worst Solar Management company ever!! My previous solar management company Sunnova turned over my solar PPA to Sunstrong Management (I had no choice). My solar PPA agreement requires that the company credit me for the difference in production vs estimated, but they keep sending me collections for my monthly fee. I wrote them 3 times, called twice and sent 4 emails to resolve the situation and have received no response. They have absolutely no customer service!!!! Terrible company.

If you’re considering going solar, I strongly recommend avoiding SunStrong Management. When SunStrong took over Sunnova at the end of 2025, my system had been serviced by Sunnova for less than a year. One of my panels was producing only about 57% of the output of the others. A technician confirmed the issue on-site but never fixed it.
I never agreed to a system where only some panels work properly — I expect full performance from all of them. I reported the problem to Sunnova, but nothing was done, likely due to their bankruptcy.
Now that SunStrong manages the system, they refuse to address the issue. I’ve provided photos directly from the monitoring app, yet they dismiss them and insist the system is “within acceptable ranges,” which it clearly isn’t.
Their customer service — or more accurately, non-service — is extremely difficult to reach, and when you finally do, they refuse to escalate the issue to a supervisor. As a result, my panel is still underperforming with no resolution in sight.
After reading similar complaints on the Florida Attorney General’s website, it’s clear this is not an isolated problem.
Stay far away from this company.
