Well, you earn some cash, you help your community, specially in Puerto Rico and is as simple as set and forget. Just a great program.

$14.14 in one whole year, this is business but not for me

I was surprised to learn that SunStrong Management charges $99/year just to monitor solar panels I already own. This isn't a repair fee or a maintenance visit — it's a recurring charge simply to access monitoring data for equipment that is mine.

Many solar monitoring platforms are included at no extra cost or built into the original purchase price, since the whole point of going solar is to save money over time. An annual fee just to "watch" my own system feels like an unnecessary added cost that chips away at those savings.

I'd encourage anyone considering solar to ask upfront about ongoing monitoring fees before signing anything, and to factor this into the total cost when comparing SunStrong Management to other providers.

I am adding my previous review here because consumers should be aware of what they could be getting into.

There is a total lack of service and breach of maintenance terms by SunStrong.

My system is showing an issue with a microinverter and despite multiple communications, the company has failed to schedule a technician. Instead they keep emailing me to tell me my system is producing even though it is not producing to capacity. I would know, as I have had this system for almost three years. Because SunStrong controls the system infrastructure/lease agreement, they are contractually obligated to maintain this equipment.

I will update this review if SunStrong contacts me with a concrete date for a certified technician to visit my home and review the system. Until then, expect zero communication or service if your equipment fails.

UPDATE 8/27/2026: My system was fixed by the local sales company I originally signed the contract with.

In order to get things moving, I had to file a formal complaint against the sales company and SunStrong Management with the consumer rights and protection agency in my area. SunStrong seems to be unaware that those consumer complaints can cost them and can also prevent them from doing business in my area. The local sales company knows this which is why they stepped up and honored the contract.

I recommend filing complaints in your area if SunStrong is not being responsive. I also recommend filing a complaint with the FTC. This company should be formally investigated.
