Very disappointed in Mercedes Finance who have yet to respond to emails with an explanation as to why they could not support our purchase of a new car. Northbridge Finance approved us in 20 minutes on a nearly new car instead. Not happy at the lack of communication!

The whole experience at Stratstone Hamilton from first visiting to collecting my new car a week later was excellent. All the staff were extremely polite and friendly especially Christopher who was fantastic.

I have never had a negative experience throughout all the times I have used this garage. The staff are professional, friendly and helpful.

Service receptionists were friendly , efficient and included any issues reported regarding the car as part of the first service.

The engineer supplied a video report showing all actions carried out as well as a hard copy.

The car was returned cleaned inside and out after several hours which was much appreciated.

It is a real disappointment; I feel like I’ve been scammed. I bought an "Approved" car, trusting the Mercedes quality, but three months later, another Mercedes service centre figured out that four fuses had been removed from the tow bar wiring and installed aftermarket wiring; when the fuses were put back in, the car threw a tow bar error. Now Hamilton refuses to accept responsibility—or cover the tow bar under warranty—simply because this issue came to light three months after the purchase. I’d say stay away; in my opinion, it’s a worthless place. I have already raised complaint stratstonecustomercare (case Nu:**7902730) unfortunately I didn’t get any response for months. There is no official responsibility authority to deal with your issues.

Full communication at all times, even when there was an issue with banking and collection of the vehicle Callen went out his way to make sure the vehicle was delivered to our home address on the day agreed.

Excellent service and work carried out, very good customer service and communication

After car service i was left with a speed sensor fault which left my car with faulty brakes no power steering no reverse gear no speedometer which meant car had to go back to be sorted. I didn't cause any of the faults that was the result of the service but had to pay for it.

The reason we used Hamilton Mercedes because it’s closer, the experience was ok, Not as good as fort Kinnaird Mercedes where we bought the car 5 star.

The salesman Scott Bell was really helpful and knowledgeable and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to family and friends.

low ball p/x offer of 1500 pounds, other Mercedes dealer offered 3k for my car which on auto trader p/x shows 3750.Not impressed. I dealt with Chris an ex Toyota man who stated my car was in great condition. My advise is look elsewhere at least Turpin wore a mask. I went to Mercedes as I thought they had a good reputation.

Prompt and efficient

I purchased this vehicle from Hamilton in November 2025 as an Approved Used Mercedes-Benz vehicle. I expected the car to meet Mercedes-Benz Approved Used standards and to be supplied with genuine Mercedes-Benz parts.

On the very first day of ownership, I noticed that the Lane Assist system was not working and reported the issue immediately. As I live in London , I was advised to visit my nearest authorised Mercedes-Benz service centre.

Despite several diagnostic checks, the Lane Assist issue could not be resolved initially. The authorised Mercedes-Benz technicians later discovered that the windscreen fitted to the vehicle was not a genuine Mercedes-Benz windscreen and advised that it would need to be replaced before the Lane Assist system could operate correctly.

This raises serious concerns. How was an Approved Used Mercedes-Benz vehicle sold with a non-genuine windscreen? Was this not identified during the Approved Used inspection, or was it identified and the vehicle was still sold? I have not received a satisfactory explanation.

During further diagnostic investigations, the authorised Mercedes-Benz workshop also discovered that four fuses had been removed from the vehicle. Once these fuses were reinstalled, the vehicle immediately displayed a tow bar malfunction error. They also identified that aftermarket wiring had been installed for the tow bar.

Initially, Hamilton approved both the replacement of the windscreen and the repair of the tow bar issue. The replacement windscreen was ordered and approval was given. However, while discussions and correspondence were ongoing, Hamilton withdrew their approval for the tow bar repair, stating that the issue was not covered under warranty and that too much time had passed.ı was dealing to fix this issue for 7 months.

This is extremely disappointing because the tow bar fault was identified by an authorised Mercedes-Benz workshop within three months of my purchase. As a customer, it was impossible for me to know that fuses had been removed or that aftermarket wiring had been installed. These issues were only discovered through Mercedes-Benz’s own diagnostic investigation.

Hamilton’s defence has been that their diagnostics did not show any faults. However, this does not explain what was later discovered. If the relevant fuses had been removed, the vehicle would not necessarily show the tow bar fault during diagnostics. Once the fuses were correctly reinstalled, the fault appeared immediately. Carrying out diagnostics on a vehicle that had been altered in this way would not reveal the true condition of the system.

Despite all the evidence and correspondence provided, Hamilton has refused to accept responsibility, refused to cover the repair costs, and didnt response my request to return the vehicle. I have also experienced extremely poor communication throughout this process. During one telephone conversation, the call was ended by Hamilton while I was still trying to discuss the issue. In addition, my emails requesting updates and a resolution have repeatedly gone unanswered.

I am now considering the appropriate legal steps to resolve this matter.

My experience has been that communication was excellent before the sale, but once serious issues with the vehicle became apparent, Hamilton did not take responsibility for putting things right.

If you are considering purchasing a vehicle from this dealership, especially an Approved Used Mercedes-Benz, I strongly recommend carrying out an independent inspection immediately. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about purchasing from Hamilton, as the support, communication and accountability after the sale have been extremely disappointing.

It was their manner and customer focused attention, I watched the way your staff treated customers like they were important and made them feel valued
