Discount coupon not honored
Our home remodeling took a bit longer to finish, so I called ahead to check if an extension of our coupons was possible, yes no problem. I called again the day before for the ducts cleaning service and everything looked good, they would honor it, which was of sort a pre-requisite to go ahead with the job.
Guess what it didn't happened, the crew next day refused to honor the arrangement.
I sent them off, period.
Unprofessional and shoddy business practice.

Stanley Steemer arrived on time and did a fantastic job! The two gentlemen who did the work were very professional and friendly. My carpet is 6 years old and looks like new. I am very pleased and I highly recommend them.
They tried bilking my 74 yr old mother for more money
My 74 yr old mother made an appt 2 months in advance, was quoted a price. When service ppl got there they ignored her quote, told her she would need extras. She told them she had a quote from customer service. The guy said he NEVER talked to customer service, didn’t even know who they were. From the time he walked in he was pushing for more money and was very passive/aggressive and condescending. My mother was alone, there were two men there. She finally negotiated down the price ( was quoted 700.00 for house) but she did not get two rooms done. Upon completion, my mother began to write a check and he said they do not accept checks. My mother told him that customer service said that she could pay by check or card. Once again, he lit into her with this “ I don’t even know who customer service is, we never deal with them but I’ve been working here (however many years, inject what sounds good to him) and we have never taken checks.” My mother said that’s fine, I’m just telling you what I was told by your company. By this time the atmosphere is chilly. He takes her card payment and with condescension dripping from his voice, tells my geriatric mother to “have a blessed day.” Ya, she was bullied, lied to, condescended, and now tell her to be blessed like it’s the last thing you want for her. I’m appalled and outraged at the treatment my mother received from this company. Needless to say, I will shout from the rooftops to anyone I come across to NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. Because as their own employee said repeatedly, they do not even receive the quote you get when you set your appt. They do not care, they are there to get the most money they can from you, no matter your age or actual need.

I rate it one star! This company is the worse! My daughter hired them to grout and seal our bathroom and kitchen floors, since we are both retired and can’t do it ourselves. Well they arrived at 11:30 am, on Thursday 7/28/22 without the sealer and we’re told that we had to reschedule! I wish I would have listen to them, but I called my daughter, she got in contact with the company and they were sent back. Ok, my husband let them in and they had 2 big hoses and a roll of paper along with a beat up sheet to protect my floors! Not only were they unprepared, but they were the messiest crew ever! My husband had tarps in the basement and placed them under the hose in the dining room and foyer. So far is a nightmare, but it gets worse! Not only did they mess up my kitchen floor but they also messed up my hardwood floors! Well to make this part short they did a very bad job on all my floors and I still had to pay them $554.66!! We ask the young man when will the film leave the floor and he told us that within a half hour use a swifter and I could even use bleaching if spots don’t come out! I was livid after that I called every number I could find for Stanley Steemers and got nowhere they told me that my complaint was number one and that someone should’ve had called me before 9 PM no one called me I called back at 9 am the next morning the and they told me that they would have somebody here by Saturday unacceptable my floors were horrible, I just paid for a service that was botched up and I was told that a Specialist would contact me. They finally did and sent somebody out around 3:00 pm, he looked at the shotty job and still was insisting that it was done right!! After a few minutes of seeing the floors and pics, he did a patched up work and left the floor the same way!!! I went on Google and asked what can I use to take film off my ceramic tile floors I read an answer which said the use 50/50 vinegar and water. I had to get on my knees and scrub all my floors twice and finally got the film off! Now I need to find out how to get my wood floors shiny again! I can’t believe i went through all that hassle and do all that work after I paid $554.66 someone to do the job. DO NOT USE THEM! Save YOUR MONEY! I wish I would have read all the reviews in TrustPilot before hiring them. I hope they read they and contact me! I’m disputing the charges!

Bad experience with an angry tech
I pleasantly pointed out to the tech an area of concern outside of a chair mat border before starting.
Afterward he asked me if everything was okay and I pointed out the apparent line still there and asked if he could go over it again. He became incensed and said that walking occurred outside that border and he’s been doing carpets for 15 years and knows what he’s doing. I said I understand but asked if he’d go over it one more time. He because argumentative and again stated that he know best after 15 years. I explained that I paid over $650 for essentially an hour’s work on three rooms and that that I’m the customer making a request. I stayed that I’m not looking for an argument because he asked and I requested. He grudgingly headed toward the room and in an aggressive way asked if I wanted to watch him.
Trying to de-escalate, I said no that I do not need to watch because i know he’s going over it again. He called me into the room to inspect and it did look a bit better to me:
He again threw to me that he’s been cleaning carpet for 15 years and he knows what he’s doing. I explained that I appreciate him going over again but I wasn’t looking for an argument. I usually tip, but not this man.
He acted like he didn’t want to be working.
Poor value, poor experience…never again and no recommendation to others. Too bad because I used this company in the past.

We hired Stanley Steemer to clean living room, dining room carpet, then hallway, kitchen and bathroom grout and two area rugs. The high traffic area is from the front door straight to the kitchen. Cost was close to $500.
The tech named Calvin was personable. However, once the job was completed the high traffic areas was just a little bit lighter but as if I had try to clean it myself and the low traffic areas surrounding the where the area rugs were didn’t get clean enough to match the clean carpet that was under the rug. I was so disappointed. I couldn’t even sleep. I looked back on the website and saw the guarantee. I called and no hassle whatsoever they rescheduled immediately. Only thing is they assigned the redo to the same person, Calvin. He called me and was quite indignant! He told me nothing better could be done and that I needed new carpet! Then told me to call Stanley Steemer and tell them he wasn’t coming back! I told him to call his own boss and tell them that. I did call back, they were very empathetic and apologetic and sent a team, Mark and Keion. They came in inspected, took pictures and got to work REDID EVERYTHING. When the completed the job EVERY INCH was the same as the untouched carpet that was under the rugs! The high traffic area that the original team said could not get clean was cleaned by Mark and Keion!!! The carpet was as I thought it should have been in the first place. If any one asks my opinion I will tell them to request Mark because he seems to be seasoned, experienced and customer service oriented. I appreciated the fact that he did not treat me as if he and his partner didn’t see what I saw. I can also say that the office was friendly and gave zero hassle about rescheduling in a timely fashion but I will only use them again ONLY if Mark is available and will tell my friends and associates the same. This is regarding SS who services Avalon Park, Fl.

I had stanley steemer come to my house and clean 4 rooms i had to do a walk around well the carpet was wet and it didnt look too bad when it dried you could see where the dirt path was they went so fast it took less than 1 hr to do 4 rooms i got out my carpet cleaner the next day and did a little where they had done the water was the color of a mud puddle not happy at all wont call them again they was suppose to send me a copy of my payment and never did
Stanley Steemer Terrible Experience - Not Worth the Call
Stanley Steemer came to my home to clean my air ducts, I thought the Technicians were doing a good job until I saw the commercial. They never used a brush to clean my ducts. In fact, I paid for a gel freshner and they didn't install but they charged me. I would NEVER use them again. The person who answered made it sound that I was lying about the freshners until a Supervisor came and confirmed, no freshners were installed. They are $20 a piece, well over priced and USELESS. I was told they worked for at least 6 months, not even a month or 1 day. Terrible company, not worth the trouble.

I had scheduled my 2 houses for the same day during 8am and 12 pm. They came for the 1st house and did the work but cutting some corners. Once they finished I asked them to follow me to the next house which is literally 1 minute driving. He said that his dispatcher said that he was sent to a different address that they amight be able to send someone in the afternoon. I told him that it was not the deal at all and showed him the emails. He got on the phone and told his dispatcher that the email I showed him did not show the date. I told him that was not true and asked to speak with jim and he blew me off completely. And then he said that someone would be calling me within a few hours and almost 48 hours later heard nothing!!

Stanley Steemer did an excellent job cleaning my master bedroom and closet carpets. They came two days after I called, was on time, very courteous, cleaned up, and did a great job. I am definitely using them again!
BEWARE if you live in the Bridgewater MA area
BEWARE if you live in the Bridgewater, MA area-think twice before you schedule an appointment with this unreliable company. I scheduled cleaning for my daughters home of 4 rooms over 2 weeks ago for yesterday between 8am and 12pm. We received a confirmation email for our appointment. At 10:00 yesterday I decided to call to see if we could get a better arrival time estimate. The woman told me that because it was scheduled with the wrong franchise the appointment was cancelled!!!!!! The house is litteraly 1 1/2 miles away from the cut off line with the incorrect franchise.
We did NOT receive any type of notification that it was cancelled. There we were with an entire house turned upside down, a 2 year old stressed out because the entire house was turned upside down, my daughter 37 wks pregnant with twins and the best they could tell us is they would come out on Monday. They said they would offer us 10% off, however, the new price with the 10% off was $20 more than our original price. Absolutely disgusted and we will never use this company.
Horrible experience
Horrible experience. Had them out to clean 4 large pottery barn area rugs. They used wrong equipment to clean them. Ruined them, snags everywhere. Claimed it wasn't their fault. Been arguing with their insurance company. $3000 -2 year old rugs and they want to give me $1500 which is fine but they still want to charge me $600 for the cleaning. Seriously, you want me to pay for the cleaning that ruined my rugs!!! And they want me to take down my negative posts. I agreed to all but the cleaning charge why would I pay for the cleaning that ruined my rugs. I even offered i would write a positive post of how they resolved the issue. They said no. So for $3000 rugs they want to give me $900 and take down my posts. BEWARE. Bad customer service, hack cleaners. I have before and after photos to prove the damage. Oh and corporate says they will be in touch. It has been months.
Stanley Steemer in Orlando was a bad experience
I contacted Stanley Steemer in Orlando, FL. to clean an area rug in my parents’ house. I went with Stanley Steemer thinking that a national company would be trust worthy and reputable. My parents are older and have in-home care so a brand name seemed like the way to go. I was given a quote on-line based on the size rug (8 x 10) and services (clean and deodorize). I was called to confirm the appointment and I thought I had told them to contact me with any changes but Stanley Steemer (they claim to have reviewed the call and said I didn't say this, maybe I didn't) didn't call me. The technicians say they measured the rug and that it was larger than what I had stated on-line. They also said that it need protector. The rug is very old and there was no need to add protector which was why I did not included it in the o-line quote. My dad agreed to the service and the technicians charged for it. I have to assume that they actually did it but I have no way of knowing. The total amount for the service was 1 and a 1/2 time more than the amount I was quoted on-line (it was also more than the value of the rug). By the time I found out about this the technicians had completed the service and left. I called Stanley Steemer thinking they that we could come to a amicable solution. I was told the area manager would get back to me by the end of the day. This did not happen. I called back the next morning and was told he was in the field. I said I would expect a call back within an hour. This did not happen. When the area manager did call me back he was very firm in his position that his technicians were in the right and that this was the end of it. I was very angry and upset at the position he took. What it boiled down to for me was this, Stanley Steemer upsold my elderly parents on a service that was clearly not needed. They would not remove the charge from the bill and that is where it ended. I do not usually write reviews but the way the company treated old people was to much for me. I would not only not recommend Stanley Steemer I would pay more to go to another company. I have already been told by the Orlando office that they will respond to my review and I encourage it. I would also encourage anyone who is considering using this company to think twice. Do it yourself, or find a better company!
These jokers showed up at my house and TRIPLED the price I was provided “on the recorded line” when I scheduled with them the day before.
I shared the EXACT square footage to be cleaned and discussed the very simple, new construction project in detail with the hack scheduler I had the ‘pleasure’ of speaking with and they had the audacity to tell me that person must’ve gotten it wrong.
$50 more is wrong. $100 more is unacceptable. TRIPLE is insane.
What a joke of an operation with unreliable, untalented and embarrassing employees at apparently all levels of this company. I can go rent a supermarket steam cleaner and do it myself for $40. That’s 1/10th of what these fools told me.
Don’t listen to the national advertising that is obviously a stretch at best… and be sure you check pricing BEFORE they start the screw job on you! What a waste of time.
Clean carpet but bait and switch selling
Carpet was cleaned and looked very nice for being 15 years old, but the original cost went from $248 to $625. I asked for an explanation but was told it was for returning at least 3 times for the coming year and the extra amount was "additional" which was not clearly explained. Poor customer service. I will not call them again.
Soaking wet.
I was very very disappointed. The man doing the Job was fine, respectful and polite. But not happy at all with the job.. First they told me he would explain any extras, they got in the door with a price, then told me the Scotchgard would be taken out when they clean. Rescotchgard and Deodorize doubled the price. When done my rug was Soaking wet. He had water all over the hardwood floors we had to get towels to clean up. Never again, and never recommend.
