Have used the Rockford Stanley Steemer before but, had a crew out on a recent Saturday to clean carpets, tile floor and, ended up adding cleaning of a leather couch while they were on the job. This was a pretty big job.

1. I was not quoted accurately for the couch cleaning and when the bill was tallied, I was charged a huge amount for a simple wipe down.

2. One of the crew members helped themselves to my mother's purse. Took the whole thing with them. While we missed pulling it out of the room where the couch was cleaned before they arrived, apparently too tempting. 1 crew member was on her own for an hour in that room and just took it! They TOOK a 92-year-old woman's purse. Her SS card, Veterans Admin card, cash, credit card, checkbook.

We filed a police report, and I called the manager of the facility. I was not offered anything but a "sorry - hard to hire, staff is normally good...."

Careful before you invite them into your home. Very disappointed and appalled.

I had an appointment made the gentleman came out what was a 216.00 dollar price . Once he came out he wanted to charge me over 675.00. Told me that the company that supposley he works for tells people a lower price and when they get there he charges over 3 times more . My advise Stay away it's a fraud business. It really should be called
Stanley the Stealers...

My phone call with Bee at Stanley Steamer, San Diego, was a very pleasant. She had a can do attitude, answered all my questions and made my day with her handling of my request for a rug cleaning. Bee was easy to understand and very thorough. She was a credit to Stanley Steamer and I feel confident that I will be pleased with the outcome of the service.

Feel like a punk. These clowns sprayed water on my carpet, and laughed all the way home. Of all services I've contracted, this will never be surpassed for stunningly poor performance, service, and follow up. Would NEVER accept a free service as compensation. They need to be OOB.

I had them come and do air duct cleaning. This was a joke. First they didn't hook up suction to furance, what they did do was hooked up a vacuum tube and hold it over the air vent while they shoved a air hose 3 to 4 ft in the vent. Like I could have used my air compressor and vacuum and did the same thing. Did not check furance vents, so they are still dirty I figure and am sure their vac did suck anything out. Completely waste of $972.00. Definitely a major rip off.

If you're considering using this company's services, I urge you to reconsider. I paid $600 to have three rooms and a rug cleaned and deodorized in my small home, but I was left incredibly disappointed. Not only was the cleaning job not done properly, but the smell in one of the rooms was worse than before. I had to take matters into my own hands and use my carpet shampooer to try and fix the issue. What I found in my carpet was disgusting. I called the company to complain and was promised that someone would come out to make things right. Unfortunately, the same gentleman came back and did a poor job again, leaving me with the same sour smell and dirty carpets. Despite numerous attempts to contact the company, I have yet to hear back from the manager. Please do not waste your money and time on this company. If you want a professional cleaning job done right, look elsewhere.

I scheduled Stanley Steamer to clean my tile and hardwood using their online portal. After accurately entering the required room info I was given a quote of 680 dollars. Upon arrival I was informed by the technician that the job cost would be 1285 dollars. This kind of bait and switch behavior is outrageous. Do not ask for number of rooms if that is no a criteria for cost. You either charge by the room or by the square footage. Do not quote me a room cost and change to square footage upon arrival. That is Jacked up and shameful.

Hired Stanley Steemer in St Cloud Mn to clean carpet in three small rooms. Smallest was 6x11ft , largest was 10x14ft. Price quoted was $532 which I thought was high but acceptable to get the carpet throughly cleaned.
Bill ended up a bit more than $1700 and included chgs I didn’t authorize, but he said I did.
I would never spend the $1000 to clean a 6x11 piece of carpet, but that’s what I was billed for this one room.
When questioned the technician Taylor started calling me names and threatening me with calling the sheriff and having me arrested.
Also tried to negotiate the chgs with the manager who was unreceptive.
I felt threatened and completely taken advantage of.
Finally just paid the bill which felt like extortion, to break free of them and sever contact.
The tech was a bully, who threatened and took advantage of me.
Don’t trust this business with your trust or money.
There are other service providers who will provide ethical non threatening service.

On Dec. 4 we had an appointment with your company to get our carpet and furniture cleaned. The serviceman showed up and asked for a water source. We have an apartment and dont have that kind of source readily available. So he rescheduled us for the next day with a portable cleaner system adding that it won't do the same job. the next day two workers showed up and asked for a water source. we showed them the showers faucet and they said that would be fine. Basically they sprayed the areas with a fine mist and sucked it up. I could've done that. (By portable I was thinking a little more elbow grease!) After they left we noticed the stains weren't completely gone and some candy under the love seat was still there.We are very disappointed with the process. There's no WOW there as advertised.

Stanley Steemer was advertising this two room $59 special, we hired them for today and they said they would be there between 9 AM to 11 AM. They didn’t show up till after 12 PM then instead of the $59 they said the two rooms would cost $350, when we tried to cancel, they said, there’s a transportation service fee, basically extorting us for money. I spoke with the manager, who was rude, extremely unprofessional, and I just need to warn everybody out there to never use this company, if you do, you’ll find out what I’m talking about!

While I appreciate that not all Stanley Steemer locations have the same quality of service, the team in Deer Park NY is simply the best. They’ve removed some of the toughest stains from our carpets, couches, and furniture over the years - and they always do it with a smile. Five stars.

Stanley Steamer does bait and switch to upgrade price. I got a qoute for tile and gout cleaning on line with rep and she gave me a discount. When they came out the tech wanted to know how long we lived there. We have a new build and live here only 3 years. The Tech Keith Ritchie in Riverview tried to triple qoute us and didnt honor our original qoute. We felt they were not being honest. We declined their service and went to home depot. BUYER BEWARE IN RIVERVIEW FLORIDA. THIS COMPANY IS CROOKED.

Stanley Steemer is a bait and switch and a fraud. We ordered cleaning for a love seat ($89) and our bathroom tile ($47) on the Stanley Steemer website. The crew arrived and told us that the shower floor, which is just an extension of the bathroom floor, is an extra $75. There was no option on the Stanley Steemer website to specify specific parts of the bathroom to clean...it was presented as a flat rate. The Stanley Steemer crew said that they have heard that complaint repeatedly. Right. The bathroom floor to be cleaned is 35 square feet and the shower is 12 square feet. Why would the bathroom floor cost $47 but the shower floor, which is a third of the size, cost $75? When the crew said they were doing us a favor and could charge us $150 for the shower, the shakedown came into focus. As the company was not going to honor its commitment, we pulled the bathroom tile off the order told the crew to just do the love seat.

Then Stanley Steemer stole from us. Without our knowledge the crew snuck in a "(MISC) minimum price adjustment" of $36 without showing us the final order authorization. They fraudulently signed the order authorization in our name by claiming "Customer unavailable for signature". We were standing right there. We didn't realize that they had inflated the price of the service without our authorization until they were long gone and we looked at the email receipt.

If you use this company, make sure your price quote doesn't include any gotchas and insist on looking at the final order authorization to make sure you're not being overcharged.

The guys arrived late which was OK but the job they did on the carpet was absolutely horrible. The same spots remain on the carpet. I paid 697.00 to have my carpet cleaned and the carpet looks the same as it did before it was cleaned. What a waste of money.

On 11-10-2023 Stanley Steamer came in to clean my carpets. When they left there were two parallel black line through my carpet in my entry and bedroom. I waited for the carpet to dry to see if they would disappear. The lines are still here 3 days later. Stanley Steemer sent in their rep to look and take pictures on 11-14 and indicated that there was nothing they could do. They indicated that my walker (I am 89 yrs old) caused it. NOT!! My walker has light tires on it and I hadn't even used it after they left. I am not happy!!

I called Stanley Steemer and was given a quote to clean my carpets. When the cleaner showed up (way past the time window I was given) he looked around asked if I had pets and said the estimate only covered steaming - Not Cleaning! I didn't even ask for an estimate. I asked him to leave. This kind of bait and switch is outrageous - a waste of time and huge hustle. I'd wasted most of my day waiting for them to show up and I want to help other people learn about their hustle before wasting their time, too.

They are thieves. They quote you online, make you wait for the appointment, show up late, then re-quote you based on how your house looks and how much money they think you have. This is not the first or second time they have done this.

After they got it all straightened out then Edwin and John came out on time and got the carpet cleaned as soon as possible. I was hoping that they could remove all the rust stains but could not.

Techs arrived looked at tile I needed cleaned and told me Stanley treatments do not remove soap scum or mildew and Stanley does not do bathroom shower tile. Then they said trip charge would be charged so they asked if I would like to have the bathroom floor tile treated. Stanley treatment was worse than if I had used a wet swifter. They left tracks in the house where they had brought in their hoses and equipment. This is not the Stanley Steemer Company we had used in the past.

Save your money. We bought a new home. Before the movers arrived, we scheduled SS to come in to clean the grout. The quote I was given on the phone was $451. When they got there days later, I was told there were "more rooms" than the quote had. The house is an open floor plan. Three bedrooms, two baths and the rest is pretty much one large room. Guy said it would be more money. "Fine", I said, "do what you have to". As they were bringing in their equipment, I had to leave to go to the water company to activate our new account. I left my wife with them. An hour and a half or so later, I returned home as they were packing up. $660. I asked "Did you get the grout cleaned?" Guy responds "I think it brightened up a bit". I walked into the house. Water everywhere, puddles of it. Now, when you clean tile/grout with some kind of machine, unless you suck up ALL the dirty water, guess what? It simply deposits the dirt back into the grout as it dries. My wife told me that the guy tried to sell her some "magical" rugs that collect the sand from your shoes and hold it, just $39.95. She passed on the "deal". Now, our appointment was late in the day, near four pm. Maybe their truck mounted wet vac was full up, I don't know, but we wasted nearly $700. Never, EVER use this crap company. If they can't vacuum the dirty water off of a tile floor, they're certainly not going to vacuum it out of carpeting!
