Standard chartered bank Uganda City Branch has the most lousy lazy workers. Staff unable to use their professional intergrity to support people get their money back from closed accounts. Too much corruption and lousy management. It should not be an international bank at all. The standards are too low and do not meet expectations. Thieves

Not good for anything.

After 3 months of follow-up, I got a DM from bank RFES NO - 3421027 Intentionally dragged the process for completing one year to safeguard the broker's and employee's payback. Do not deal with Shibham and Amit jain. Say big no and be relaxed.

Worst bank for home loans once you take the loan will be in trouble forever. Even no hearing for raised requests. Always send messages that are not able to reach you even never called you. The Bank manager shared email IDs to escalate. No one was there to help and solve the customer’s problem Pathetic customer service #worstbankforhomeloan Within a year I tried to close the loan they put me on hold till one year was completed. After that, only SC gave me status for BT.

SC MOBILE KEY TEMPORARILY PIN is nonsense! Very hard to obtain pin number thru contact centre and take a long time to persue simple task. Had to call many times ugh! Hate to call contact centre as it not very helpful as it should be. SC should improvise and use other method to make it easy. Please make it easy.

Terrible customer support. My card worked overseas despite me never activating it. That is a massive security flaw.
Credits shown as deductions via SMS.
Deductions via SMS that never occurred.
Pointless calls to support that take ages to answer when transactions flagged did not occur. I can go on. But I a. Probably running out of space.

I never defaulted my payments from past 3 years but thanks to sc I made my first default payment. Since I was on autopay but you cannot rely on a fraudulent company such as sc mobile. Now i have late fee charge.
Not only this i have taken EMI of 3999 but I am paying 1400 emi for 6 months. The reason? Because SC credited and debited and credited from and to my account thousands of times.
I have been on phone for hours and hours but every single employee wants to sell me loan. On top of this I get 10-20 calls for credit card which I already have.
1. Dont open accounts with them.
2. Don't get their credit cards
3. Don't receive their calls (Install true caller and block all of their numbers even if you dont have anything to do with them.

one of the best banks. They are so advanced and technology focused, I love using this bank.

Worst customer service app is not working.N number of customer service no. But no-one is answering emails as well share but no response. Last 3months there app is not working no one is taking seriously the matter. How to connect if we have some issues. Why this digital facilities are mentioned if you don't have time for your customer. Pathetic service highly unprofessional manner less team they have.

Your Mall Road Branch in Lahore deserves a standing ovation for its stellar blend of rudeness and unprofessionalism. Attempted to call four different numbers, only to be met with a deliberate hang-up after a prolonged ring—impressive consistency, I must say. Apparently, Jummah is now their non-working day. The irony is palpable—I used to get 20 calls a day for my credit card payment, but now, when I urgently need help, they couldn't care less. Initial customer service was tolerable, but the so-called available staff and managers are experts at getting paid for nothing. All four numbers follow the same hang-up pattern, leaving me in awe of their synchronized incompetence. Considering letting the world know about this stellar service during my financial emergency. It's my money, but getting it seems like an impossible feat. Amazing!!!

Woefully incompetent and problematic application process for a credit card.

Received multiple emails asking for the same information. Phone call to CS who confirmed that I could go to a brand to pick up a card, then receieved 3 rejection letters in the post

Really bad service. Have to wait for 30 minutes to reach the customer service officer and still not managed to talk to the officer

How can Standard Chartered Bank service became so terrible and to cancel my credit was not able to be do so when calling customer service for the past one week was not answered or pick up by customer service. Went to Bangsar branch and then was advised to go to PJ branch for cancelling the credit card which was not even active because the credit card expired 2 years ago and suddenly this November 2023, Standard Chartered Bank charged a the annual fee and service tax for the new card which was not received by me. Very disappointed with service that not able to even discontinued the Visa Platinum Credit card that not even existed.

Lousy customer service waiting time in Malaysia on phone - waiting 45min - 1hour, no reply on the mailbox in the app on inquiries. Worst bank experience I had ever encountered.

One star is giving because there are no option to without one star.

Standard Chartered Singapore, please have an option for customers to speak with an operator once we dial in to ask for queries. You guys have so many options but no options to speak to an operator. We have to constantly call numerous times just to get hold of a person to talk to due there is no such options. I have to choose an option not related to my queries in order to get to speak to a human, by the time a person answered I am in a very angry terrible mood which is not me at all. This is not fair for the agent who answered. Super ridiculous service.

The app is terrible very slow I read a lot of bad reviews but no one seems interested I think I will change banking institution

Ridiculous customer service. I did not receive any proper response. They have very very poor processes in place. Bank sends a card to a non-billing and wrong address. I requested to change it, but the response was "unless the Courier sends the Card back to the bank, we can do nothing about it." When probed further, the customer service person (will not call them executives) CUTS THE CALL.

Feeling sick of such attitude.

I have a car loan with Standard Chartered and I handle the payments myself. I missed one payment as I was traveling and focused on the trip (sincere mistake and immediately addressed). I started getting blank calls (nobody on the other end) from a number I did not recognize. Researching this, it was a Standard Chartered number. This is unethical thuggery and the calls stopped once I addressed the payment. It seems if you miss a single payment, they activate some sort of harassment service until you pay up. Fortunately, I do not bank with them and never will. Things are extremely healthy financially and this serves as a warning for anyone who wants an ethical experience with a bank.

Standard Chartered Bank Hong Kong are thieves. I transferred full amount to my credit card through my Bank of East Asia account on 31 August 2023 and the evening of 2 September 2023 still the funds did not show up and it won't show up until 4 September 2023. Apparently there was a typhoon and therefore no transactions would show up... The customer service are useless. So my question is where does the interest go? The funds have been missing for 5 days.

Tried calling them for help on their alleged 24/7 line on a friday at 2:50 pm to get help with my Father's account.
No one picked up the phone, and eventually they just hung up on us.

Worst customer service, the customer care service disconnects the call if they don't know the answer to any questions asked. The waiting period is more than 25 minutes anytime of the day. Can't believe a UK based company would be providing such horrendous service.
