I bought a extendable tree lopper which is very good. Unfortunately I stupidly lost a nut which attaches a saw to the appliance. I sent an email asking if I could buy a replacement. That was 2 months ago. No reply. Spear and Jackson would appear to have little regard for customer service or customer satisfaction. Poor job.

bought this fence/shed paint and it’s like water, would probably take quite a few coats to have any effect. DO NOT BUY!!!!

Recently bought a garden pump which developed a small issue. Have had a few telephone conversations with Tracy who has been absolutely brilliant and sorted my problem quickly and in a friendly, positive and helpful manner.

We have brought Dark oak decking stain for many years now they have decided to change the colour why ??

I purchased my second pair of Spear & Jackson leaf grabbers as the first pair were absolutely amazing.
The first pair had me hooked on a product “ I could not do without “ The replacement pair were however a huge disappointment and not the same as my original pair. Despite the fact they looked identical! I’m very annoyed as I am finding my old worn out pair of more use than the new ones. The plastic grabbers are not as think and robust. They do not align properly. The fixing have changed from the original and they don’t grab anything more than died leaves without buckling in shape. I would assume parts and components have been changed to increase profit.. well if you are going to do this then at least test them first to make sure they work and perform the same as the original ones.
I have been a good customer of Spear & Jackson over the years but after reading these reviews I’m done !
You have put profit above quality. Another customer lost !

Bought a 42cm cordless S&J lawnmower with 2 batteries from Argos. After having the old model for 3 years and the batteries fading. The new model is worse on nearly every metric. Flimsy, unwieldy and uncomfortable to pick up when carrying. I have to go over the garden a couple of times to get the same results as previous model. Not good!

Rotary Electric Lawnmower. Power failed just after warranty ran out. After sales support automated.... " if your warranty has run out then go to this website they be able to help....goodbye"
What a bunch of tossers. Spear and Jackson are just a brand name for Chinese rubbish. Avoid at all costs.

Lawn mower please don’t buy had no response after e mail there basically a disposable lawn mower u can’t buy a battery that only lasts a year bare in mind u don’t cut the grass in winter awful customer service

I just bought spear Jackson pole hedge trimmer from Argos when l went to register it with spear and Jackson they said they do not register this model,it as got a 3year warranty on the box,so l tried to register it with Argos who we took an extra three years warranty but they don’t want to know either,so beware when buying anything from the spear and Jackson range of garden tools.

Spear and Jackson decking stain is not fit for purpose. Even after spending days prepping the decking and apply 2 coats of stain I noticed after a week of sunshine the stain started peeling and now even sweeping the decking it is lifting the stain.
Better to buy something like Ronseal or Cuprinol it is more expensive but you get better quality.
I would never use Soear &Jackson again.

Despite the other reviews (hard to find any about masonry paint) I must say the spear and jackson masonry paint was as good as any of the far more expensive , ie, sandtex or dulux- maybe Spear & Jackson should've concentrated on paint, rather than just about anything you can buy at a hardware. I have purchased this twice -as it was a bare wall and i was happy with the product and the price, and service . thanks

Total rubbish ! It says automatic line feed for this trimmer. It doesn't even work, even after following the instructions as well ?
Absolutely shocking I managed to trim about 2 metres of edging then the line disappeared. A total waste of my hard earned cash of £60 from Argos ? Disgusting, I will reiterate DO NOT BUY ?

Do no buy if you have any disability or are elderly looking for light easy to use mower.
The red handle hurts hands
The vibration is terrible leaving arms tingling
The handle to difficult to.fold down
It's going back to.argos
Is big and cumbersome mower that's hard to manage

Bought Spear and Jackson Natural Oak decking stain to finish off decking after having used last of the can I bought last year. This years Natural Oak is like a butter milk yellow, I now have a two tone deck. They should have changed the name of the colour.

Please - stop the practice of placing an immovable barcode sticker in the middle of your products. Glue exists that allows easy removal of such stickers, use it!

One of the prongs on a “weed puller” I had used for a number of years broke off in use. Given that the tool is actually fabricated from parts I contacted them to see if I could obtain the necessary spare part.
I received a very prompt response (same day) from the company seeking further information followed by a replacement tool a few days later.

Natural oak totally different colour too last years never use it again

Absolute crap, doesn't work, Absolute joke of a product, do not buy...scam....

I wrote to Spear and Jackson with a simple question about a Spear and Jackson branded garden tool.
They replied but only to tell me that it was the wrong office. I should contact Argos.

Bought Spear and Jackson decking stain for the second time. Thinking as we had purchased the same shade as previously that the colour would be similar to the previous time. We had used the rest of last years paint to do most of the decking but ran out. This years shade is entirely different and does not resemble the previous Natural Oak shade or the colour advertised in any way. It’s more like a dusty yellow. We now have a deck in two different colours and will need to apply at least 2 more coats to get it to match. I have pictures showing the huge difference in shades. According to previous reviews, it seems a waste of time trying to contact the company direct.
