I tried doing it alone for years and kept starting over. Slimming World gave me the structure and support I was missing.
It’s not about restriction, it’s about learning how to eat in a way that actually works in real life.
With the support of the group, I went on to lose 105lbs. But more than that, I’ve changed my mindset completely.

I lost 7 stone and have maintained for a year!
I first joined slimming world back in 2008 where i attended a group on lost 6 stone! That was many years ago and so this time round when I wanted to lose weight and change my lifestyle, it was a non- trainer as I knew the plan works. Due to work commitments I couldn't get to a group so in 2022 I joined slimming world online...best decision ever! I have lost 7stone and reached my target in 2025. I have maintained my target weight for over a year now. Slimming world is so much more than a diet. It has given me a whole new mindset about food and healthy lifestyle. You are never hungry on slimming world and can eat whatever you enjo. You fill up on lots of tasty free foods- vegetables, lean meats, fruits, pasta, rice, potatoes etc and then your Healthy extra allowances for things like bread, cereals, cheese, milk ensure you are getting essential fibre and calcium. Then if course, there's swips which can becused for all those little extras you used to think as naughty. You really do eat like a king on slimming world. The plan is easy to follow and there is tonnes of support from SW experts and other members going through there journey. The best thing about SW is that you develop a sustainable new lifestyle that works forever - nobmore diets!

My path to loosing 3 stone
The wieght loss I had with your system was great. The system I found to be very easy to use. I joined at near 15 stone and within a few months gained a 3 stone loss, getting down to 12 stone, my personal target wieght. I maintained until the last CHRISTMAS season, when unfortunately I fell to temptation, but even so I managed to maintain at a few pounds above target. I finally got back to target yesterday thanks to continuing support from Kelly our leader and the group, Studley Medows in Huntingdon Cambridgeshire

I use Bill's Saturday morning group. You are made so welcome by everyone. There are men and women in the group and a wealth of shared experience. On the weeks I have had a small gain or no loss, I have been encouraged to carry on. So far I have lost just over one and a half stone and I only joined just before Christmas. I love the fact that nothing is off limits and you get a book and app that you can refer to. Our consultant Bill, is excellent and chats every week about a different topic, often using humour to get points across. He also communicates with us all throughout the week with reminders about what we have spoken about. It's been a great experience and I'm looking forward to reaching my initial target and then going on to set a new one!

I recently joined there online…
I recently joined there online membership however due to personal circumstances I decided not to pursue the membership and cancelled it within the 14 days, however at this point the books were sent to me and not arrived yet. I had no intention of keeping them at all and they advised that I had to return the books at an extra cost after paying out £80.00 for the three month membership and advised that I would only receive £79.11 back for some reason and that I would have to send them and as soon as they HIT the advisors desk that my refund would be processed. I asked if i rejected the parcel when evri arrived if it would return to them and then the refund could be processed, not that wouldn't work as it would hit this specific advisors desk who would specifically issue the refund. after checking the weight of the parcel it was going to cost and extra of £12 to send the items back and I asked if there was an alternative method of sending them back that didn't involve paying out extra to which I got quoted word for word that I was to return the physical items which I was never unhappy to do just if there was an easier way of doing it to which I got to told make sure you get proof of postage as they might not get the parcel and to discuss pricing options with the post office, but thank you for contacting slimming world and have a nice day.
I just hope now the parcel does actually get to them and they do process the refund but by the way they spoke I might not hold out all hope

When a member creates a Slimming World Online account, the terms and conditions explain that membership renews each month at £20 unless future payments are switched off or an extended plan is chosen. We also send a renewal reminder a week before the payment is due, so members have the chance to cancel if they wish.
We completely understand how frustrating it can be when something like this comes as a surprise, and we’d really like to look into what’s happened for you.

Generally impressed.
Just started eating Slimming World meals from Iceland.
Generally impressed, one or two not to my taste though.
I find the sausages good as I do the lasagne..I mention this as they've had some negative reviews.
Being diabetic I find mostly they are tasty, filling... but a little expensive and most importantly...guilt free.....

This review is just for one group my…
This review is just for one group my daughter visited as she couldn’t make her normal group. My daughter visited Christ our servant king group in High Wycombe and she was spoken to so rudely. Oh you’ve put weight on don’t you know how to diet do you need help, this was so rude my daughter is only a size 10 and isn’t over weight. She came home upset from this and this could tip someone over the edge. My daughters normal group which is Wright Meadows High Wycombe is a lovely understand group and deserves 5 stars. My daughter goes to slimming world to maintain her weight as she has heart problems and wants to keep healthy. This review needs to be answered by the relevant group as this is not acceptable.

Disappointed......

Got so bored with the same things being repeated week in and week out.would be good to listen to some health benefits and short films or some extra incentives to loose the weight but number 1 needs are encouragement and if you aren't getting that then it's not worth going.

Cauliflower Mac n Cheese
Doing this for my wife. She has tried a few Slimming World/Iceland meals and been pleased but this latest one is a massive no no.
1. When cooked (in oven), looks nothing like the pic on the sleeve
2. Very watery
3. Some macaroni was hard and burnt around the edges
4. Cauliflower rock hard
We brought 2 of these so next one maybe try microwave or maybe the trash can.

Thieves - beware they hold your details!
i have previously been a slimming world member online, and when you cancel they do not clear your information or account, they hold on to all of your details, including payment details!! On 19th Jan 26 unbeknownst to me, Slimming world reenrolled me and took £20 from my bank. On 19th Feb 2026 i got a payment alert on my phone telling me slimming world had just taken £20. This was the first i was aware of it, and looked deeper. I opened my old slimming world account to find that i had a monthly auto renew subscription going and they were taking £20 a month without my consent from my account. Its not easy to navigate to find out how to cancel this but i have done so now. The fraud team at my bank says that it all looked above board because it was a subscription, but i never okayed it!! The bank have now put a lock on my card (another inconvenience to me!) So basically i am now £40 down and unable to use my card, and it seems i'm unable to wipe my data from Sliming worlds site. Absolutely awful behaviour.

If i could get zero stars i would, all sw is in it for the money, first consult insulted me saying if i dont like it f off out the door when i approached about my converns, contacted regional manager about it for her to give me some excuss, 2nd no support changes times which not suit peoples life on signing up, 3rd even worse looks at u loke u dog poo on her shoe so left never return never even contacted me to see why, oh well £60 down drain but now i am doing on own with supportpartner saving my weekly fee. If u want recommening i would avoid this place gone down fast since ceo died

I love Slimming World..
I love Slimming World..! I believe that education is the way forward when learning how to not only lose weight but to control your weight. I have learnt so much from group meetings and from their website and I’m confident now to cook most recipes, with their guidance, so that the food is not only nutritious but low fat and tasty too. I don’t feel I’m missing out on anything and that helps me to keep on track and will help me maintain. I’m only 8lbs off target now after losing 6 stone 👍 I feel like a new person 😊

So much support given from people that have been in my shoes. So many free foods to enjoy. The recipes on the app are easy to follow and are delicious. Group support is second to none.
