If i could have given the team 0 stars I would have. Throughout out process I have had increasing amounts of frustration with the poor quality of communication from both of the solicitors who were working on our purchase and selling of our property as well as the lack of collaboration in general with the various people and dependencies involved in our transaction.

On a number of occasions our lawyers have not been clear as to what the asks are or provided explicit guidance. Another behaviour we encountered was the "not my problem response" where they would say this is the other lawyers problem or such.

For a process that is highly templatised, and repeatable I would expect the team to be highly motivated to expedite the completion of a case but this was far from the case and there as a distinct lack of urgency.

I would not recommend using Simply Conveyancing if this is they way they deal with their accounts.

We found the on-line tool useful in understanding the day to day position in the buying and selling process. We hadn't bought or sold a property for 26 years so with so much to think about it was most helpful. We were also generally grateful for the support, advice, patience and professional customer service from our conveyancer and her colleagues for over one year due to a collapsed property chain and other circumstances outside of their control. They helped to quell what might have otherwise been a rather daunting experience for us.

Avoid using this service at all costs. I thought their lack of urgency and initiative was the most frustrating thing to deal with but it’s actually their shocking communication. Expect delays, staff not responding to emails or calls and no sense of urgency of following up with other solicitors. You are just one of hundreds of people they are dealing with and really the outcome doesn’t matter to this company.

Despite trouble with buyers, 5 dropped out they stuck with it and on the final day exchange and completion happened quickly and I received the funds within an hour.

Utterly awful service for what should have been a simple chain. Whilst some issues have been outside of my solicitors control, there have been several issues which have not been chased up due what I can only assume is a lack of care and attention to detail. Three times I have had to chase up paperwork that I was asked to sign yet was not sent. On one occasion I was chased for paperwork I had returned two weeks earlier that was entirely missed. An outdated management pack appeared to have been missed/not followed up until I complained and it was noticed, creating what has now been a further 2 month delay. It’s impossible to get updates and even when I chase updates I usually go a week without hearing back. I have no faith in this company communicating with me nor with my sellers solicitors. I have asked for copies of invoices which weeks later have yet to be provided, and have lost track of the additional costs that have been added along the way. I have escalated this through the estate agent who heavily recommended I use them to speed up the process with my buyer. I wish I had used my own solicitor, I am now in a position where I have no idea where I am in the process, neither my solicitor nor my estate agent are responding to me, and I am left sick with worry over the financial implications of this chain falling apart. I have never known a company with such a poor attitude to communicating with a client, and having absolutely no way of being able to get answers given that my emails are going unanswered.

Superb legal expertise, communication throughout fabulous and incredibly patient with a very slow bottom of the chain delaying things when simply conveyancing was ready very quickly
