Hi unfortunately not a lot went right for me.
I was specifically asked to select a date which was a waste of time as did not arrive. Particularly annoying when I took a day off work.
No comms on time slot for delivery and when it did arrive (I had to keep chasing) 9 days later the shed was damaged. I decided to make do and use splintered wood to the best I could. Communication was good when I chased but poor otherwise. The driver was a lovely chap though.

Three stars is generous
Three stars is generous. The timber for the Arbour arrives wet. When it dries it shrinks leaving gaps in the roof for rain. The roof panels don't fit well again needing beading to fill gaps.The kit requires a lot of assemblyand parts were missing taking lots of calls to get them sent on. The Arbour looks lovely but I wouldn't buy again.

Timber is a natural material and will naturally absorb and release moisture, which can cause it to expand and contract as it dries and with changes in weather conditions. However, we appreciate your concerns regarding the gaps that have appeared and the fit of the roof panels.
We’re also sorry to hear that some parts were missing and that you had to make several calls before these were sent out. We understand how frustrating this must have been, particularly after purchasing the Arbour expecting a straightforward installation.
We’re pleased to hear that you like the finished appearance, but we’re sorry that the overall experience has left you feeling that you would not purchase from us again. Your feedback regarding the timber, roof panels, missing parts and communication has been noted and will be passed to the relevant teams.

Very poor quality.
The shed arrived quickly but two of the main panels were badly warped and there was damage on two other parts of the shed. There were no instructions and no hinges for the doors. I emailed Shire with photos straight away and then phoned them the following day as I didn't get a reply. I requested for the shed to be collected which only happened a week later. I'm still waiting for my refund from the company I purchased this shed from.
I would not buy a Shire product again.

We’re really sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience.
We can see that you contacted us following delivery on 6th August and, after speaking with our customer service team the following day, you advised that you would prefer to return the building for a full refund rather than receive replacement parts. The collection was then arranged and has now taken place.
As your order was placed through a retailer, the refund itself will need to be processed by the company you purchased the building from. Now that the goods have been collected, they will be able to arrange this for you.
We’re sorry that on this occasion the building and overall experience did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback.

Shed wasn’t delivered on the time given…
Shed wasn’t delivered on the time given due to driver running out of hours (did circa 500+ mile day as tracked and almost passed my house twice). I had to make contact with shire to find out when delivery would be the following day, not them calling me and letting me know it would be on delivery ASAP due to the issues above or any apologies for inconvenience like booking the day off work to take delivery. Next available delivery 8 days later. No liability. Wouldn’t buy from again and do not recommend (unfortunately they were a 3rd party from a company online I bought it from and they ship the item).

We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to take a day off work for a delivery that ultimately couldn’t be completed, particularly without the communication you were expecting from the courier. We’re also sorry that you had to contact us yourself to find out what was happening and that the rescheduled delivery was not as soon as you would have hoped.
While the driver’s hours and the circumstances that caused the delay were outside of our direct control, we fully appreciate that this doesn’t lessen the inconvenience caused to you. We should have communicated more proactively and we’re sorry that this wasn’t the case.
We’re grateful for your patience in accepting the delivery the following day, and we’ll be taking your feedback on board with our delivery partners to help ensure customers are kept better informed when unexpected issues arise.

Log Cabin 7 x7
I purchased a log cabin on the 1st May with a proposed lead time of 6 weeks. I was then contacted with a revised delivery date of early July, this was then pushed out to the end of July. I finally received my log cabin on the 5th August. I suppose it was too much to expect that all the parts would be shipped and YES there were parts missing. I have to say that I rang Shire and the missing parts were promptly dispatched. The assembly drawings are very vague and not easy to distinguish parts on the drawings. I am an engineer and used to working with drawings, so this was a challenge. Having started to assemble the logs it soon became apparent that the logs were twisted and bowed which makes assembly very challenging. Some of the logs had damaged tongues and in some cases missing. Fortunately I overcame the problem of twisted and bowed logs by using clamps and some thick pieces of wood. Once assembled you could actually see the bowing on the log planks. This wood has obviously not been seasoned to a point where enough of the moisture has been removed.
Good luck to anyone who decides to buy from this company, you will need it.

Taken too long in which I cancelled order, Robert Dyas taken order and full payment giving me a date for the 25/07/26 but after payment then advised 10/08/26 then Shire extended the delay to 17/08/26 so I cancelled the order. Not happy!

We recently purchased a Shire Cubby Playhouse and, overall, we are extremely pleased with the finished product.
There were unfortunately a few issues along the way. The delivery was considerably later than originally expected, and when we began assembling the playhouse we discovered that eight acrylic window panels were missing, along with a few fixings. We also noticed that some of the factory-applied treatment had rubbed away in places.
However, this is where Shire really impressed us.
We contacted them regarding the issues and were dealt with promptly, professionally and, most importantly, like valued customers. Lily in particular was extremely helpful throughout and arranged for the missing acrylic panels to be sent. She also offered to provide a pot of DIP treatment to help even out the finish before we applied our own treatment.
There was then a slight saga involving the DIP treatment—it somehow became the most travelled pot of wood treatment in Britain! 😂—but Shire continued to respond and eventually arranged for another one to be sent.
The replacement acrylic panels arrived safely and fitted perfectly. The replacement DIP treatment eventually arrived too, although unfortunately the pot had leaked during transit. Thankfully, there was still sufficient treatment remaining for us to complete what we needed to do, so we didn't pursue this any further.
The playhouse itself is very good quality and, once fully assembled and finished, looks fantastic. We've added a few personal touches, including butterflies because the little owner loves them, as well as flooring, a kitchen and lighting.
Most importantly, despite the initial problems and delays, we are very happy with the finished product.
The real highlight for us was the customer service. Shire never fobbed us off, never became defensive and never made us feel like we were being difficult. They listened, apologised where appropriate and kept trying to put things right.
Mistakes can happen with any product or delivery. What matters is how a company deals with them, and in our experience Shire dealt with them exceptionally well.
A special thank you to Lily for her patience, professionalism and genuinely helpful approach throughout.
We would happily recommend the product and, based on our experience, would be happy to purchase from Shire again.

Several issues as explained earlier issues with doors base and roof panels
The vase was bigger than it should be one of tge doors gas stains on it there are 2 roof panels that are built the opposite way therefore there is a gap in the roof . I am disabled and not able to work so I’m on benefits I have paid for it to be assembled privately which has cost me money that the people haven’t been able to complete doing because of these issues which wasn’t visable when they started so if I want it completed I will have to pay them again therefore I’m very disappointed
