Do Better. Be Better.
The nude/skin color masks I ordered, unfortunately, took well over a month for me to receive. I ordered July 3rd and finally got my masks on August 14. First due to ordering during this pandemic, and secondly due to USPS being messed with by the Postmaster General. I ordered the day the restock went live thinking that I would receive my masks in an appropriate amount of time, but that was not the case. I guess they don't already make the masks beforehand and you have to wait for them to be made. I completely understand that they are a small business, but there needs to be a bit more communication between the customers and why there is such a significant delay.
Next are the masks themselves. They looked exactly like how they did on the site. Are they worth $30 (now the price is raised to $33 during a pandemic)...in my opinion: No. Especially since they raised the price $3. The masks are worth $20-$25 at the most. There's some stitching that I'm going to have to ask my mother to fix. For $30, now $33, there shouldn't be anything wrong with the masks. At least they pay their seamstresses fair wages.
Another thing I don't like was the fact that the owner (on her personal Twitter) had all the time in the world to continually tweet about random things while customers were still waiting/asking about their masks. Like...do everything you can to either get people the items they bought or stay on top of communication. Make multiple announcements, something, because if you have time to tweet a smiley face, then you have time to keep customers updated (I said what I said).
All in all, if I had known about this brand and their nice masks before this pandemic hit, I probably would have rated them higher, but this is just my experience at this time. Would I buy from them again...if I had extra cash to spend, yes. Otherwise, probably not (especially since they upped their prices on a basic nude mask).
The above was my review a little over a month ago. About a day ago, some customers were sent an email about "early access" to order masks that were "ready to be shipped", and a 30% off code for one mask. This email did NOT inform the customers that the "early access" had only like 2 or 3 nude mask colors available, the price went up by $3, you now pay for shipping on top of a price raise, and that the code for 30% could NOT be used the next day when the actual restock went live and more nude colors were available for people.
Communication is a bit of a problem with this brand, and my review is from MY own perspective, and I just want them to do better.
Edit: They seem to have a problem on social media. I would ask a question, they would answer, and within hours they would delete my and other people's comments/responses like they are trying to hide something. I don't like that. My comments/questions were NEVER rude, inappropriate, or out of line (I have screenshots). So why are they deleting? That's shady or at the very least ridiculous, and honestly, at this point, I will NOT be buying from them again.
