Long story short: I fell in love with this design and branding late 2025. Had a sizing issue and for weeks and weeks was not able to get decent support over email regarding replacement. After some 5-6 weeks, including trying my best to return the product, I left a brutally honest 1-star review here.

Some 4 weeks later, I was contacted by the big boss (!), who also commented on my review. He apologized for the whole thing, understood my frustration, and said these are not their standards of service. He offered what I found to be a fair compensation: New gloves to me, no need to re-return the old ones (which were returned to sender by then), and they will also re-imburse any customs CH will charge me for the new pair.

(2 weeks later...)

It is now officially Spring and the new pair just arrived. They look great and are actually the right fit - I will enjoy them a lot next Winter. The old pair should make a great gift to a friend with the right hand size (think I found one). A happy ending! It would be 5/5 if they got it right to begin with back in January, but better late then never!

While the lack of communication was a huge issue for me, I finally received the gloves today and I have to say the quality ALMOST makes up for the poor communication. I'll rate my experience 4 stars...and not 5 because of the communication issue. The packaging of the gloves are impressive and the quality is fantastic.

I’m sharing my experience to help other consumers understand what may happen if a problem occurs.

I placed an order in January 2026 (order #SH-NL71433-25). One pair of gloves arrived with visible defects, which the company acknowledged in writing. I reported the issue immediately and followed their own return policy instructions.

After my defect report and cancellation request for another item, I received no response for about two weeks. The second item was shipped anyway despite my cancellation email. During this period there was complete silence from customer service.

Because of the lack of communication, I had to send a formal legal notice (ingebrekestelling + WIK 14-day letter) by registered post. Only after this step did the process start moving.

The refund was first processed incorrectly (€163 instead of €166.95), and I had to request the remaining €3.95 separately before the full amount was returned. The company later explained that my emails were archived due to a technical error and apologized.

In the end I received a full refund, but the process required significant effort and legal escalation from my side.

This was far more time-consuming than it should have been for a defect that the company acknowledged in writing. Future buyers should be aware of this and act accordingly.

Die Lederhandschuhe von Schwartz und Halen haben mich wirklich überzeugt. Der Tragekomfort ist hervorragend – die Handschuhe sitzen angenehm weich an der Hand und passen sich sehr gut der natürlichen Handform an. Auch bei längerem Tragen entstehen keinerlei Druckstellen, was für eine sehr hochwertige Verarbeitung spricht.

Besonders beeindruckt hat mich die Qualität des Leders. Es fühlt sich geschmeidig und gleichzeitig robust an, was auf eine sorgfältige Auswahl und Verarbeitung des Materials schließen lässt. Das Leder wirkt langlebig und entwickelt beim Tragen eine sehr edle Optik.

Insgesamt bieten die Handschuhe eine perfekte Kombination aus Komfort, Stil und Qualität. Ich kann sie jedem empfehlen, der Wert auf hochwertige Lederhandschuhe legt.

Veel complimentjes over de handschoenen ontvangen (chique, robuust, elegant, stoer, etc.), dus ook nog goed voor het zelfvertrouwen!
Minpuntje: Handschoenen (pas) in februari 2026 besteld, maar had dat natuurlijk (veel) eerder moeten doen...

Inmiddels 2 paar gevoerde leren handschoenen en 1 paar gevoerde wanten aangeschaft.
Ik heb last van aandoening van Raynaud ( koude, witte vingers ) en deze handschoenen/ wanten zijn niet alleen erg mooi, maar ook warm en behaaglijk.

The product itself is very good quality and design. Shipping was relatively fast. And offer an extra 10$ off for this review. How better can it get?

It was a smooth and perfect experience from ordering to giving the present. The gloves arrived on time and as stated in the description. My wife was looking for warm gloves which allows her hands to breath without getting sweaty and the gloves delivered that. The touch screen function was the highlight. Very good packaging as well. Highly recommended.

I liked the style and quality of the gloves, but the customer service has been very disappointing. I returned the gloves internationally at my own expense after they were significantly oversized, despite following the sizing chart. The phone number listed for assistance goes straight to voicemail, and I’ve sent multiple emails since February 2nd without receiving a response or sizing guidance. The lack of communication is concerning, especially before placing a new order. I hope this can be resolved, as I would like to reorder, but clearer and more responsive support is needed before I consider any further purchases.

2 jaar geleden een paar suede handschoenen aangeschaft. Tot nu toe veel plezier van gehad maar toen bleek dat de naad bij de duim kapot was. Dit vond ik toch wel een beter jammer gezien de prijs van het product en het feit dat ik de handschoenen niet intensief heb gebruikt. Daarom contact opgenomen met de klantenservice en tot een gezamenlijke oplossing gekomen. De mensen van de klantenservice waren vriendelijk en behulpzaam en reageerde snel. Dus toch nog steeds blij met de handschoenen :)

The beautiful gloves were a Christmas for my Wife and she loved them from the start. The quality, the gift packaging, and just the overall presentation of the Schwartz and Vonhalen Gloves are top notch!
