I've purchased several items over the past couple years through Schmiedmann. I'm in Canada, and the person I always deal with at Schmiedmann is Andrew M. Nice down to earth guy who gets things done. He always responds to emails and seems fairly knowledgeable with product specs/info. Ordering from Schmiedmann to north america is almost always cheaper even if you factor in shipping/taxes than buying 'local'

This morning I wrote a comment on this site as a result of a dispatch made by Schmiedmann I very much wish to redact the comment in light of a very swift telephone call from Andrew.
When I explained by position he readily resolved my issue.
It was a weight of my mind but most importantly to me was how Andrew approached my issue.
It is very reassuring to know there are professional companies with a customer focused approach to business.
I will going forward trade with Andrew and his company and will advise my petrol head friends of the excellent service provider that Schmiedmann is.

I put an order with Schmiedmann. It was a bit more complicated because I need parts in certain time frame on 2 locations. Lasse, which is at this time only intern handled all challenges with professionalism I would expect from professionals with 20 years of milege. Great service overall, Schiedmann. I placed an order with Schmiedmann for a windscreen moulding trim for my BMW 523i. This has been my first encounter with them; i have seen professionalism and efficiency in the way the transaction was conducted. My email are responsded to on time and i got the item ordered for on time too.

I ordered the high sport manifold for m52/54. They happened to not have any in stock, so I waited for 40 working days for the part to arrive at their HQ. They arrived on March 8th (two stars instead of one since the shipping was indeed fast). When we installed them, we saw that they press into the gearbox (6spd). After some "modifications" with a hammer and angle grinder (to shave off some of the gearbox), we managed to get them to fit without touching the gearbox. The next issue which arose was the fact that the manifold or the exhaust system is too short and there was no way to connect them without adding an additional flange (an additional 150eur for a trip to the welder). I am aware that their website states that "Modifications and adjustments must be expected when installing this system.", but I was not expecting the manifold installation to turn into such an ordeal. I would be less regretful if I had bought manifolds off of Ebay, because I would have paid less for something I expected to be of poor quality.

I bought something that wasn´t in stock and due to current circumstances the ETA delayed from the date on the order confirmation.

Andrew was of tremendous help when he offered me his assitance to solve this issue - Now I have something that perfectly replaces what I wanted, I even saved some money as it was cheaper, and Schmiedmann has a happy customer from Spain counting on them for his E36 project.

What can I say, these guys are the best. Very knowledgeable and friendly. I was looking for an exhaust system for my 1997 BMW 850ci and they went out of their way to keep me happy. Specially Andrew. He is the best. Than u Andrew for helping me release the beast :)
