Sandal Huddersfield BMW Arvostelua 

Poor sales experience. I have visited today with the intention of purchasing an X5 but ran into a salesperson who was just simply objectionable, argumentative and seemed determined to "put me in my place". So I will shop elsewhere.

Was told 2 hour service took nearly 3 in garage 1hour waiting for it washing got car back front seat at passinger side fully forward driver side as far back as it could go old mask on seat dash cam wires hanging down rang service assistant manager not got back then an hour later got Tex saying car needed service notability customer peter

Is someone lying?
BMW Huddersfield claim to have fitted a brand new engine into my X5, however, BMW UK will not confirm it is brand new! Are BMW Huddersfield telling customers the parts they fit are brand new, when they in fact not? I would not use BMW Huddersfield under any circumstances!

Sandal BMW are based in Huddersfield and Wakefield. They have the same directors.
I took my X5 to the Wakefield branch for a full suspension geometry and wheel alignment.
Around midday I received a video from the 'tech' which was a "health check". I did not ask for nor want this as it is just a pressure sales tactic. Anyway the 'tech' told me my tyres were okay (brand new Avons), the brakes were okay (they were all replaced within the last 12 months), there were no leaks (yes I know, I replaced a leaking power steering pipe), and he went to the rear where he said a suspension ball joint had play in it so it would need replacing before doing the geometry and alignment. That sounded okay until you realise the car had just had an MOT, I had inspected the suspension as had an independent engineer.
They had listed an invoice for the work to be done. £700 to replace the suspension arms. Then £83 for 3 wiper blades as they were all smearing. The wiper blades are recent Bosch Classics and even now they are not smearing (edit - now 5th March and wipers NOT smearing). Absolute bloody rip off.
On collecting the car the service manager was adamant they had a duty of care - which is utter nonsense and is translated as 'we want to rip you off as we are not making enough money - so I told him I had been working on cars for over 50 years, worked in dealerships and had many qualifications. He was unmoved. Unsurprisingly.
So I will now contact Trading Standards as I have removed the suspension arm 'that had play in it' only to find it does not. It is perfectly serviceable.
We have a total of 3 Minis and 2 BMWs and not one will ever go to Sandal BMW.
P.S. to all those reviewers waiting for their refunds, their accounts are overdue. They were due by the 31st December 2020. Sums up their incompetence really.

Poor service ever, very hard to get through to the right person to help you deal with your problem I left them a message to contact me back,but they never phoned me back I had to keep calling them everyday I’m so stressed and very disappointed I can’t believe BMW providing very poor Customer service this is my first service with them I booked service on 27 th July 2020 after had my car back from them only just 5days to find The Oil is leaking from underneath the engine,oil is everywhere on my driveway. on the dashboard it said I need to top up the engine oil with 1 litre of oil Then I contacted the BMW service then again no one help me out they left me stressed out ,I was waiting all day for a courtesy car but they not contact me I have to keep calling them all day to find out when I will get the courtesy car. even the employees don’t seem to know what they are doing I am not happy with the service they provide

Recently had some warranty work carried out on our x3M Comp would highly recommend, great service, great staff and work done in timely manner.

Why isn't zero stars an option as that is what they warrant?

Reserved a car from distance and confirmed in writing for a February sale. Traveled a 7 hour round trip to view car, liked it and signed contract to purchase with delivery date TBC but in February. Advised on the Monday after viewing on the Saturday that collection would be the 22nd only to be told the purchase was off if I didn't pay for the car in January! Could have enforced a February collection as I have a contract that stipulates this but cancelled rather than be bullied by supplying dealer, if you get treated like that pre sale what chance to you stand if you have an issue post sale?

I have 3 Sandals cars, and have had many others in the past. One has just turned 3 years, bought as "Approved Used" but they didn't think to tell us an MOT was due. Not part of the "service" apparently.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to see what Sandals consider to be "part of the service". It seems very little these days!!

Avoid BMW. Their Mini service team are OK though.

Bought BMW 4 series 8 months ago from here used and approved and is still under the AUC warranty. car was not properly going into drive from reverse and was making a low rumbling noise at low speeds. I told them both faults happen 10% of the time. They booked it in and took it for a test run and did not hit the fault. I was charged a ridiculous amount for a test drive. I thought maybe they would do some more testing and since i bought the car from them they would help me better than they have done

I purchased a 5 3 Msport xdrive exdemo from Sandal Huddersfield last year which was a first class experience. It had its first service last week, I was offered the new four year service package from Rob the service manager which will save me hundreds. Can not fault anything about my treatment at Sandal..
