My partner booked her car in for 2…
My partner booked her car in for 2 tyres at 11am Saturday, we expected to wait about half an hour and have the car back.
But we arrived to be told that we would have to leave it with them or we could bring it back at 8:30am Monday, as they had too many cars already booked in.
So we had to go home for our 2nd car and return to leave the car with them.
We later received a phone call from them at about 4pm saying that it needs 2 more tyres and that they could not get one of the wheel nuts out and had round the head trying, they then told us we would have to bring it back the following week to have the bolt drilled out and that we would then be charged an extra £45 pounds for this.
One of the alloys appeared to also damaged whilst going through tyre change, but the guy said this was corrosion, we obviously can't prove it was damaged there but we are sure it was.
We took the car back the following Wednesday and they managed to remove the bolt but still charged us for the experience.

They changed the wrong tyre even though…
They changed the wrong tyre even though I clearly stated front passenger side. However they did apologise and corrected their mistake immediately.
It might be good idea to let the customer speak directly to the mechanic involved to confirm the work required rather than it being passed on to them by someone on reception and therefore avoid any misunderstanding.

Ineffective on line booking system
I booked the appointment on line however when I attended the booking clashes with bookings conducted direct with the garage, so it appears the online diary doesn’t align with the garages. This is inconvenient from a customer perspective as I had to wait considerably longer for the work to be done. Far from ideal. However what I will say is the standard of the work was good.

Disrespectful staff, decent prices
Extra star for the price as it was decent, but took my car in for its MOT and I was very disappointed by the customer service. Took it in, told it’d be done by 10am, and rang up half hour or so after to check on the progress as I’d not heard back - put on hold for a while and cycled through a load of different members of staff, one of which swore over the phone ‘f***, s***, I forgot about your call,’ which was obviously very unprofessional.
Got told just that my car failed its MOT but not on what basis, had to ask leading questions to get a response. Asked what size my tyres were when they had my car there - you’ve just been working on it, you tell me! And when I said I wasn’t sure ‘oh bless you, of course you don’t’. And finally picking up the car, the lad at the front desk was extremely standoffish and downright rude when asking which was mine, told him the reg, ‘yes, but what car is it?!’ in a very patronising tone. Safe to say I won’t be coming back. Most of the staff are unnecessarily condescending to young women and just disrespectful.
