Fantastic team of PT’s. Love the small group PT. Get focussed, quality guidance and support. Bright space with windows . Not overcrowded or too noisy.

I was new to personal training and decided to join Portside Personal Training after my partner recommended them, as she used to train with Phoebe. I train with Brooke who has been super accommodating and easy to get along with. She’s understood my goals (rehabilitate / conditioning / a view of building muscle tissue too) and set up a personalised plan to help me achieve these over time. I’m really enjoying the sessions and find the value for money great. I’m 5/6 weeks in and have already seen good progress and lots of good adaptation in my workouts - would recommend Portside Personal Training to anyone who is looking to kick start a fitness programme. - Tom

Professional, small and friendly gym. I have been going regularly for 18 months. My PT, Brooke, listened to what I wanted to achieve and tailored a perfect programme. Great sense of achievement from hitting personal bests each week.

Over the past three years I've gone from barely being able to walk around the block to having ticked wonky knees, painful feet, and even a % of migraines off my list of woes!
I've had three different trainers, all of whom have taken an active interest in my connective tissue and sensory issues. 1:1 training has allowed me to do rehab and prehab in a way which has given me real progression as well as leaving me injury free.

Timmo, Phoebe and Team are amazing, I've been going to Portside for 3 years now, started with a intense package to get my body on the right track to what I wanted to achieve. Timmo has helped with Diet, what foods to have more of and things to add or when to avoid eating certain foods to aid weight loss and muscle build etc.. its been super helpful getting both my Body and Mind in shape. Totally recommended.

Timmo at Portside Pt has been a tremendous help to me.
I took a year or so off training and having pt has been a great help, not just physically but for my mental health.
I think the facilities are quite posh to be honest for all your needs, with nice big windows allowing a view of the harbour which looks lovely.
The vibe is always friendly with Phoebe and the other personal trainers and it's obvious other clients are getting a great work out.

I cannot recommend Portside Personal Training highly enough. I have been training here with Phoebe for over a year and feel stronger, fitter and comfortable with 'me'. All the trainers are highly skilled and professional and put you at ease but also push you to achieve your individual best. Started Portside around six weeks ago, wanted to start to lose weight and tone up

I’ve been training with Timmo for a number of years now. He and the team at Portside PT do a great job of getting to know you and your individual goals, so that they can create a specific training programme to help you reach those goals. They’ve invested in apps which support you with your PT but also your self directed training as well. The app can be used to guide you through exercises as well as logging your progress and key metrics around weight and muscle mass etc. The PT studio is a welcome and friendly environment in which to train. All the trainers are friendly as well, but this does not mean they’ll go easy on you: they encourage accountability and support you to stay motivated. Wherever you are on your personal fitness journey, I would thoroughly recommend Portside PT to help you get to the next level.

Portside PT review
I had not been to a gym for a long time, and when I had been, I never really knew what I was doing.
Now that I am heading towards middle age, I decided it was time to get fit, lose some weight, etc but wasn’t sure where to start.
I saw an ad for Portside PT, just down the road from me, which offers a free trial session with a trainer.
I did not know what to expect, but Timmo was friendly, welcoming and took me through some questions and exercises to assess my fitness level. The gym is not intimidating - there are not loads of people pumping iron and Timmo has just the right balance of patience and encouragement. Instead of dreading going to the gym, I now can’t wait to go back. The sessions are hard work but I can see and feel results after just a few weeks.
I cannot recommend Portside PT and Timmo highly enough - absolutely brilliant!

Great PT with down to earth trainers who know their stuff, in awesome setting.

I have trained with Timmo since 2016 because my original goal was to lose wait and shape up for my wedding. I hadn’t been to a gym for about 25 years and the whole thought of walking inside the building let alone having people look at me simply terrified me. Timmo put me at ease, gave me the confidence to stick with it and went at my pace. In six months I’d reached my target weight, losing a stone and I felt great - I learned that I actually needed to eat more than I had been doing - and I was much more toned.
I’ve been training with Timmo ever since and was delighted when he opened his own studio a couple of years ago. Being beside the sea is so relaxing and the gym only has trainers with their PT clients so it really is a personal service. I am very happy to recommend Timmo and Portside PT because it’s fun and you get results!
