Nachdem ich bereits mehrmals meine Identität und Alter nachweisen musste da ich sehr jung aussehe, bin ich nun erneut gesperrt worden und muss erneut meine Identität nachweisen, Sobald Hater sich irgendwie benachteiligt fühlen,weil man kein Interesse hat, beschweren sie sich bei Planet Romeo. Man selber bekommt keine Information um was es geht. man kann dann nur Tagelang nachfragen ob man wieder entsperrt wird, nachdem man sich mit Personalausweis,Foto mit Profilnummer, identifiziert hat. Das dauert dann ewig. Man ist den Aussagen anderer User völlig ausgeliefert und erfährt nicht, was zur Sperrung geführt hat ausser ganz allgemeiner Aussagen. Ich denke,deshalb gehen viele inzwischen zu anderen Dating Plattformen.

Der letzte Müll, da ich nicht den allgemeinen Standarts der schwulen Gemeinde entspreche, leider habe ich eine Hasenscharte, werde ich hier nur verspottet, lohnt sich also für mich nicht, plus zu nehmen, ich nutze denn account um mir nette Escorts zu suchen. I have been a paying member of Romeo almost from the beginning. I still am. It used to be a, feature rich, great site. Then they voluntarily ruined it, for no obvious benefit. As a, now retired, software engineer and IT analyst who has spent a lifetime in IT, I have a pretty good idea how these services work. It is a database. When you create a profile you tick many boxes, or not. All this gets added to the database and is, technically, searchable. You also enter free text and they scan that text and pick out keywords that can also be searched on. For example 'vegetarian'.

The search used to be very good. One of the most useful elements of the search, for me and many others, was the location search. I live in the Netherlands. I would like to find someone for a relationship who is also living in the Netherlands. That is no longer possible. The search works on a radius of 'up to' 100km from where I am based. Then it jumps to 'global'. I live near to Amsterdam. The eastern border of the Netherlands is about 150km from here. So I cannot search the whole of the Netherlands. Even if I could enter 150km, that would also include large parts of the UK. When it jumps to the 'global' setting I get people from all over the world. I am not interested in people living in America or Africa. It used to be possible to search on country and also city. That was dropped a few years ago, with the new style of service. They also present the search results as a single page of randomly arranged profile summaries. There is no option to sort them on any criteria. They also limit the number of search results. Initially it is a small number. Then they tell you to search again for another, overlapping set of results. But if you scroll down the initial results page very quickly, it keeps expanding the list for a while. So you can get a lot more results if you scroll quickly. But once you close the page there is no way to return to that set of results. The location details are optionally entered into your profile. They are stored in the database and can easily be searched on. There is no technical reason why they could not offer a choice of a search based on radius OR a search based on location. They had that search functionality before. So to put that back in would be a fairly simple software change. The only work around is to keep changing my location in my profile so the search radius if based on different points. But this is making ME do the work of the software. Computers are supposed to make life easy. This current design makes me do the work manually. That is a very poorly designed service.

Then there is the message deletion issue. All messages sent and received, once read, are deleted after 7 days. Suppose you message someone today, then they reply after 2 weeks. Your copy of the message you sent has already been deleted. If you have messaged several people, you can be left wondering if you messaged this person some time ago, if so what did you say, or have they just messaged you out of the blue? A 7 day deletion period is just useless. Of course you can choose to email the message history to yourself. But that has two downsides. First of all the service is making me do the work again manually that the software should do for me. Secondly the message history with one person is split over multiple emails. That is a real pain to look back on.

When they redesigned the service a few years ago it seems they tried to create a web based version of grindr. The whole philosophy now seems to be based around instant hookups with local people. Some people only want that. That is great, but they can use grindr. Some people, like myself, actually want to meet someone for a lasting relationship. Romeo no longer caters for us. If and when it happens, it is more by luck than system design or philosophy. I understand the mentality of copying the grindr concept. It is a successful model. But it already exists. If Romeo had simply added that type of service to what they already had, that would have been fine. But they trashed what they had and went all out for local and now....and mostly targeting the young.

I used to love this service. Now it is extremely limited and probably not worth paying for. As you get older it gets harder to meet genuine people. At 67 I don't look for people in their 20s and 30s any more. But even people in their 50s and 60s on Romeo are mostly still looking for younger people. The whole system is based around youth. Once you have moved on from that period of your life, there is not much on Romeo to interest you. The more restrictions they put on how you can use the service, the harder it gets to meet anyone.

Another sad aspect is that they don't listen to feedback from long standing, paying customers. They have decided the market is in instant, local and young. All my comments above will be completely ignored.

Support = Unterstützung haha Es wird mit Chatbots gearbeitet, die Ali und Enrico heißen, was auch eine Veräppelung ist, weil man denkt, dass man mit Menschen kommuniziert. Copy/Paste-Antworten, immer und immer wieder. Ich wurde gesperrt, weil ich angeblich minderjährig bin. Habe den Nachweis (Personalausweis) erbracht, und den Anweisungen gefolgt und ihn an die spezifische E-Mail-Adresse geschickt. Dann wird behauptet man habe diese Mail von mir nicht erhalten. Ich schickte einen Screenshot, plötzlich ist das rote Banner in der App weg, aber ich kann immer noch keine Nachrichten verschicken bwz. sie kommen beim Gegenüber nicht an. Ich schreibe Mails und Mails. Dann kommt wieder eine Copy/Paste-Antwort, ich solle den Nachweis erbringen, dann würde das rote Banner verschwinden, wenn ich auf "Nochmal Überprüfen" (oder so ähnlich) klicke etc. Lol ich könnte lauthals lachen, wenn ich nicht so sauer wäre.

Ich bin seit 2006 bei GAY/PLANETROMEO. Es macht seit langem keinen Spaß mehr, dieses Medium zu nutzen. Es gibt einfach zu viele Faker, die dort ihr Unwesen treiben. Der Betreiber dieser Website ist scheinbar nicht willens, dagegen vorzugehen. Auch ist
die Seite sehr kundenunfreundlich kreiert. Warum einfach, wenn es kompliziert geht ??

Eine Seite die überwiegend aus Fakeprofilen besteht. Die einfachsten Funktionen wurden kostenpflichtig gemacht, so das diese Seite ohne kostenpflichtigen Plus Acount kaum noch Sinn macht. Da scheinen ein paar Leute in Amsterdam den Hals nicht voll genug zu bekommen. Die Radar Funktion wurde arg beschränkt, zieht man dann die Anzahl der wahrscheinlichen Fake Profile ab ist es ein Witz was da noch übrig bleibt. Anstatt die Qualität ihrer Seite zu verbessern sind die Betreiber sehr kreativ neue Wege zu dibden dwn Leuten das Geld aus der Tasche zu ziehen. Das man sich finanzieren muss ist vollkommen verständlich. Aber nicht auf solch dreiste Art und Weise!

Ich kann PlanetRomeo nicht mehr empfehlen, nur oberflächliche und Faker unterwegs, die ein beleidigen bedrohen und stalken Diese Seite macht einen nicht mehr gesund. This used to be a good site for in continental Europe (mainly Germany/Austria/Netherlands) but now it's kind of lost its way. Profile got blocked (or in romeospeak 'rejected') for no apparent reason. Then they make you jump thru hoops to reactivate it. Have also heard dodgy things about what they do with your data... like Booking.com this is a Dutch-based company and they will bilk as much free stuff out of you and then ditch you when not needed. Thumbs down.

Diese Plattform ist nichts weiter als eine geldgierige Maschinerie. Mein Profil wurde grundlos eingeschränkt („Shadowban“), offenbar weil ich mit meinen 20 Jahren ein Fake-Profil sein MUSS. Das ist wohl kaum überraschend, denn auf dieser Plattform treiben sich hauptsächlich ältere Personen herum, die ihre sexuellen Fantasien mit jüngeren Menschen ausleben wollen und dafür ihren moralischen Anker völlig über Bord werfen.

Trotz mehrfacher Blockierungen wurde ich von einer Person belästigt. Mein Rechtsanwalt hat gegen diese Person Unterlassungsklage eingereicht.

Es ist nur noch eine Frage der Zeit, bis deutsche Strafverfolgungsbehörden ihre Aufmerksamkeit auf ROMEO richten werden – dort werden von den Nutzern in großem Umfang Geldwäsche- und Steuergesetze missachtet, und es ist nur angemessen, dass ROMEO und die Personen dahinter persönlich haftbar gemacht und zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden.

Hier marschieren fast nur noch Faker und falsches Gesoxe rum. Nen normalen ehrlichen hier zu finden ist wie die Nadel im Heuhaufen. es wird hier nur verascht und veräppelt. Jeder will noch schöner sein und noch atraktiver und sendet falsche Bilder von sich. Dabei ist das zu 99 Prozent auf Fakerei aufgebaut. Früher war das noch ganz anders und obendrein versucht Planet Romeo noch , Leute abzuzocken, aber egal lange geht das eh hier nicht mehr, denn es sind immer wieder die selben die hier ihre Fakersitzung halten, zwar schade aber es ist so.

Romeo hat mir heute gedroht mich anzuzeigen weil ich angeblich jemanden massivst beleidigt habe. Es war scheinbar ein Freund/Partner eines Moderators. Ich bekam eine Nachricht, der Text völlig amateurhaft, ohne Möglichkeit zu antworten (no reply). Das ist fies! (Diktatur! Du machst was wir sagen, sonst nichts.
Er drohte mir mit Rausschmiss, mit Polizei und was weiß ich noch alles. Angeblich habe ich jemand in einer Message beleidigt. Es muss der Freund(Partner eines Admins gewesen sein, denn der hat mir auch nochmal extern massivst geschrieben und gedroht was mir einfallen würde seinen Freund so zu beleidigen. Antworten konnte ich auch hier nicht, no reply!
Manche haben Narrenfreiheit und andere eben nicht.
Wer mir eine dumme blöde Antwort gibt bekommt eine zurück. Und wer nicht mit einem NEIN umgehen kann muss mir keinen Bären auf die Nase binden. Sehr sehr viele Fakes und Mehrfachprofile deuten darauf hin das man einfach nur verarscht wird in diesem Portal. Selbst wenn man Fakes mit Beweisen und URLs anderer Seiten meldet haben die weiterhin Narrenfreiheit und sind weiterhin online tätig. Und dann wird man zudem auch noch immer wieder aufgefordert zu zahlen wenn man alles nutzen möchte.
