Wanted a desk for our spare bedroom but didn’t want to lose the ability to also use it as a bedroom. A sofa bed address the bed needs but how could we also fit a decent sized desk into the room at the same time? I realised that we need something that folded down, that’s when we found DropTop. Their solution was simple but effective and I could also have two monitors setup. Although it is an expensive product it is worth every penny, I now have a working office and still have a useable spare bedroom. Fully recommend DropTop.

I’ve had my desk for two years and it still works as well as it did the first day. When people see it, they all compliment the look and how convenient it is. If I didn’t tell them it folds down into a desk, they’d think it was an art piece on the wall. I had a couple questions during the ordering process, and they got back to me with answers immediately. I highly recommend Pith & Stem. You can’t go wrong with them.

I've had the desk for two years now, June 2023, to June 2025, and it has been excellent. The design and construction are first class. It's unusual as it has no legs, but my son used it for two years as an online work from home desk. I now use it as a home music production studio. It's heavy so some effort needed to get it on the wall. I'm going back to order the internal dual monitor wiring. This will save having a splitter or hub on the desk. What I like about the design is the built in power sockets. The monitor arms are strong, so strong that they need to be loosened off slightly to allow movement back and forwards. Allen key job. The available leg space is great and I placed a second hand tv unit beneath as storage. The service on the phone was exceptional, patiently explaining the wiring options multiple times! Select the options carefully. Delivery, well packaged as you would need. Two man job to get it on the wall, as before. No regrets. Doing a great job. Bought it in white and acts as a projector screen when closed.

I've had it for about 2 years of near daily use now and it has held up very well. It's very unobtrusive when not in use and very comfortable overall + it makes the living room look so much nicer by just folding away. Highly recommended.

I LOVE my DropTop desk. It's super neat, has a giant monitor inside and it's perfect for me working at standing height when I'm at home without having a big desk permanently in the way and in sight.

Excellent quality product and delivered without issue.

I've had my DropTop desk for well over 2 years now, and it is still (almost) as good as new. As I have a dual-purpose home-office/spare bedroom, the DropTop is perfect to solve the split-use issue. I can work comfortably during the day and stow everything away very quickly and securely when the bedroom is needed for a inquisitive grand-child.

Despite being in daily use, the wall fittings have stayed secure and the fold-down desk surface shows no signs of sagging or loosening. It remains very sturdy and robust.

The only slight issue is that the stick-on cable tidy clips have come away from main unit, but, in the grand-scheme of things, that is not a huge problem, given that the practicality of the system is a huge bonus to our living space.

Very nice, using it since more than one year and its working perfectly.

We had some problems with a damage during delivery, the customer service was outstanding and solved the problem easy and really fast. Never experienced such a good service.
The table is also perfect. Love the quality and design. Easy to mount on the wall and looks stunning. I work from home so I use it daily. Love that my workspace is now so clean and after work I just close it Recommendation 100%

Delivery was very timely we were kept up to date with fulfillment progress. Our two DropTop desks are mounted next to each other with matching artworks and they look great and is very sturdy. There is a little bit of flex on the desk surface, but you get used to this quickly. We originally bought them because our study is sometimes used as a guest bedroom and it is nice to be able to easily declutter the space.

The desk design only has two minor problems: the bottom edge of the desk tends to hit the wall and make a loud sound when weight is put on the opposite edge - we fixed this by wedging a bit of foam against the wall. The paint on the frame around the armrest area comes off a bit too easily, but this is also not a big problem.

I purchased my desk from Pith and Stem back in November 2024, and it’s honestly been one of the best investments I’ve made. It’s compact, beautifully designed, and incredibly easy to fold away. Perfect for making the most of a small space. The build quality is excellent; it’s sturdy, durable, and clearly made to last. It’s also really comfortable to work from, making all the difference during long days at the desk.

The customer service was just as impressive as the product. The Pith and Stem team were so helpful and kind (Simon tried his best to ensure the delivery came on time). I needed the desk in time for my husband’s birthday, and Simon and team went out of their way to accommodate my request. Their thoughtful approach and great communication made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable.

I ordered my Droptop Max November 2023 with an estimated delivery window of 6 to 8 weeks, but it ended up taking 12 weeks to arrive. Unfortunately, my experience with customer service during that time was disappointing—communication was lacking and updates were sparse.

That said, the product itself is fantastic. Once it finally arrived, I was thoroughly impressed. It’s incredibly quick to open and use, and just as easy to close and store. The build quality and functionality exceeded my expectations. If they can improve their customer service and delivery times, this would be a flawless experience.

Easy to setup and incredible product. Saves so much space. Looks great. Lovely to work at. We're using the VESA arms and they're wonderful with our Cinema Displays.

The company made the experience of ordering the desk really good. Unfortunately, the hardware that they use for screen mirroring is really poor, and was not compatible with my employers computer. Also, the power brick to distribute power burned out after a few months.

Customer service is terrible. Desk is great however its only been 12month and the docking station included has already broken. Wont bother going back through customer service for the docking station because of how incredibly terrible the customer service is and I would rather pay the money to replace it personally than deal with them.

I ordered my drop top and unfortunately was shipped the wrong color. The team at Pith & Stem team took quick action and sent another unit ASAP in the correct color. I have been using my desk (and loving it) ever since. I work 100% from home so it is nice to have a sleek and stylish space to clock my 8 hours and then tuck everything away and move on with the rest of my life.

The one improvement I would suggest is adding a third hinge to the middle of the desk as the work top has begun to sag (slightly but definitely noticable). Still, this unit is highly recommended by me. If I could I would have given this a 4.75 rating as the only flaw in the unit is so minor and really only bothers me because I am a perfectionist when it comes to construction.

Great product and works well! The only thing that is weird is that the grounds on the electrical outlet mirror each other, making it difficult to plug two items in at the same time.

I absolutely love my DropTop desk. It is sleek, works perfectly, and has turned a corner in my hallway into a functional office when I put the desk down. The quality is absolutely fantastic. I could not be happier with this purchase, and I have recommended it to friends and family.

These desks are easy to build (should you choose to do so), beautiful, and such a space saver. I have two of them and we absolutely love them. Looking forward to enjoying them for many years to come.

It took a while to arrive due to its popularity, but came perfectly packaged and ready to install. Being able to select my own art was great. Easy to install even for a novice DIY-er like me. All the tech works wonderfully. Not cheap, but worth every penny. Perfect solution for working from home.
