Kept updated frequently. First class service by the Passport Office.

Shockingly poor service. Followed instructions given by telephone operator which was wrong. Application refused without a refund given despite this.

I went to Newport premium passport service and prior to that also had to access passport services on the phone as I was suddenly aware my passport had to be urgently renewed before I could fly. Both the call handlers based in London and the service in Newport were excellent. Officers were calm, very helpful and reassuring. I thoroughly recommend your service.

Quick to take your money, but when unhappy with the poor results on how my photo is printed, on all 3 of them, ie not as original sent in with the online application form. After complaining on phone and being told by Steven to re-submit a paper application with a letter explaining what unhappy with, also enclosing actual printed photos, together with returning the new passport, even enclosing the difference of £11.50 extra, then waiting 5 weeks just to be fobbed-off with VERY UNHELPFUL customer service. Also patronising and wrong comments from the complaints team.
Not even attempting to reprint my new passport to see if a better photo image could be reproduced.
I expect a better service for £100.
...Finally returned my passport after 4 and 1/2 months, exactly the same 1 which I had returned, which is now 4 and 1/2 months old in the 'date of issue' date. I'm so glad I bothered!

Excellent service. Online application Monday. Posted old passport Tuesday. Received new passport one week later.

Applied online Friday evening and the process only took 7 working days to receive my new passport.
My old passport was received the same time in a separate envelope.

Only 10 days when I first applied for a renewal passport useing post office check and send it arrived useing standerd service £88.50 considering on website it may take up to 3 weeks excellent service

It’s encouraging that at least one of the UK’s public services works so well. I applied online for my passport renewal and 11 days later it is delivered. I was kept informed of progress at every stage. Excellent service from the Passport Office staff.

Just renewed my passport before the price increase, formwork easy, online photo. 1 week from posting the old one back to receiving the new one. Thumbs up all round.

Recently applied for Passport renewals,and were very satisfied by both the service,and communication given by the Passport Office,reliably informed by them as to what stages the applications were proressing and when finalised and accepted the thorough information informed for the New Passport delivery date..Thank to all concerned.

I live in Brazil and needed to renew my UK passport.
I did this online and sent to the name and address they gave me with a reference number.
I received regular updates and received my new passport within 12 days by secure delivery, and then the id documents a couple of days later.
A excellent service.

An easy process to renew my passport which 7 days from getting the updated photos to receiving my new passport. I really cannot fault it, an example of a really efficient service. I think the key is applying outside the normal holiday periods and getting professional (but cheap) photos with code numbers.

Great super fast service. Other government services should take note that this is how it should be done. Great service.

My passport was up for renewal in 5 months so I applied for a new one living in Spain I was a bit worried about having to send it back as I would not of been able to leave if I had to in an emergency with no passport.

I send it back to the uk and had my new one back within 12 days full tracked and updated through dhl my old passport was returned a few days later.

Excellent service and super quick given my old passport had to be returned and then the new one sent back to Spain.

Terrible. I applied for my passport online. Then got to the end after paying and needed to supply documents. As living in Australia was organising to get all certified original documents. As AUD$120 to send these documents I confirmed with HM office who informed me that I had to send all the originals as certified copies are not accepted. For why someone would be stupid enough to send all their documents and passport international with no idea if or when they get it returned. In todays age you would think they would catch up to this century and stop working in the 1800S. Seriously disapointed wasting money for a much needed passport and the service is simple rude and bland. No considerstion or care. They the rules do it or dont. Not one carefactor or offer to help or any other process.

Great service. Received new passport within a week of online application submission. Plenty of updates on the process of the passport application.
