Easy sign up for Car Insurance and got the best price from the on my Fortuner. Agent was friendly and helpful.

Unfortunately he was not clear where the Tracker costs were included or excluded from the premium. I found that out later when talking to the tracker provider.

So my reviews on helloPeter keep getting taken down because OUTsurance flags them, apparently they do not like me exposing them for trying to manipulate the Hellopeter system and making 80+ fake reviews all in the month of October. (go see for yourself) this was done to push there positive ratings upwards (how honest and noble) but at least we can still lean on respectable and transparent "freedom of speech" in SA. Dnt for a second think there is any peace of mind with this insurer. The assessors they employ are just as good, if not the best in the business of manipulating a claim, lying about official statements and generating false police Affidavits and sadly OUTsurance is the one giving them all the rope they need to treat you like a para. The kzn assesors will do anything & I mean ANYTHING to push there own narrative of events and not pay out a valid claim then OUTsurance gives them a big tap on the back. listen having a fire at your business/house or property is far LESS stressful, then having to try claiming from them. Believe me when i tell you, they will make you RUN for your money for months or years, bleeding you out in the process of litigation cost , whilst they watch you slowly loose yourself and everything you once owned. Take my advice before that day arises when you need to make a large valid claim, FIND A DIFFERENT, HONEST INSURER or you stand to loose everything. Consider yourself very lucky if you made a large claim and got paid out by this company. Sadly if your reading this then your likely here for the same reason as me. If your in the claims process make sure you recording every single interaction with there assessors, accountants and engineers, go over the exclusions and fine print because they WILL nail you for anything you might have over looked

I have pet insurance for my dog which I pay about R650 for a month, the moment he gets kennel cough I take him to the vet I have to pay more that my monthly payment as an excess (R700) even though he is on the highest plan available. So what is the purpose of the insurance? I currently have a claim of which only R100 will be paid out after the excess. Make it make sense OUTsurance? Best believe i will be cancelling this scam very soon.

Called in to get a quote for car insurance, unfortunately they could not beat my current price. Buuuuut I won R500!!!!! Thennnnnn, they also got me life insurance at such a competitive price. No tests, no medical what nots, everything was done in 20minutes!!! I’m definitely happy I have joint the Outsurance family, and hopefully will be joining for a lot more covers! Great service Outsurance!

Absolutly great, friendly and professional, Did not ecoext the claim would be resolved within just a few hours, guven that it was a Sunday.

They were very quick to respond to a serious road accident involving my son, and they were sensitive to my son's physical state and were helpful to assist in offering transport and assistance.

I'm grateful for how Joycelene Kandhai handled my query. I logged a leaking geyser claim yesterday afternoon and she was professional, kind and knowledgeable about the products. She logged a fault and I got a call few mins later from GB plumbers who were also super professional and amazing. They came in the morning, did an assessment and Joycelene called me to follow up again. By 11am today, everything was sorted out. Thank you so much OUTsurance for quick, efficient, friendly and amazing service. I was anticipating a long query but within hours my geyser was replaced and I'm left with joy and peace of mind. I spoke with Grace to resolve some straightforward questions regarding my windscreen cover and whether making a claim would have any impact on my premiums at renewal.

Unfortunately, I was unable to get a clear or definitive answer. While I was told that the windscreen was covered under my policy, Grace could not explain what, if any, impact making a claim would have on my renewal premium.

As a result, I was left without the information I needed to make an informed decision and ultimately had to resolve the issue outside of the insurance policy I had taken out with you.

I find this particularly disappointing, as these were relatively simple questions that I would reasonably expect my insurer to be able to answer clearly. I would appreciate an explanation as to why I was unable to receive a straightforward answer and why I was effectively left having to deal with the issue independently.

If you are looking for vehicle insurance, I would strongly advise you to think twice before choosing OUTsurance.

Trust me when I say that dealing with them has been an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience. I was involved in an accident over a month ago, and to date, very little has been done to get my vehicle repaired.

I have been sent from pillar to post, dealing with different quotes and receiving conflicting information. I was also told that a rental vehicle was not included in my policy, despite the fact that it is included.

I pay approximately R3,000 per month for my vehicle insurance, yet my excess is a staggering R26,500.

The most frustrating part is not only the money - it is the constant back-and-forth, lack of clear communication, and having to continuously chase for answers after faithfully paying my premiums every month.

This is only the short version of the story, because there is a lot more that has happened during this entire process.

As a highly frustrated customer, I can honestly say that I would not recommend OUTsurance to anyone based on my experience. When you pay substantial premiums every month, you expect your insurer to be there when you actually need them. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience.

To make matters even worse, I have now been trying to cancel my policy for the past two hours and I am still waiting for a callback. How is this acceptable? How is this treatment fair?

I would also like to know where I can escalate this matter further, as I am extremely disappointed with the service and the way my claim has been handled.

Think very carefully about your options before signing up with OUTsurance.

I spent roughly 10–15 minutes going through a lengthy quote process, including completing forms and speaking to a consultant, only to receive a quote of around R5,000 per month, which was completely uncompetitive compared with other quotes I had already received.

What made the experience worse was the consultant advising me not to obtain insurance quotes before applying for vehicle finance, which I found confusing and unhelpful in the context of simply trying to compare insurance costs.

The call then ended abruptly without even a proper goodbye.

I understand that insurers price risk differently and I am not criticising OUTsurance simply because the premium was high. My issue is with the overall customer experience: a time-consuming process, an impractical outcome, questionable/unsolicited advice, and an unnecessarily abrupt ending to the call (which I received from 012 749 5030).

Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not be inclined to continue with, or recommend OUTsurance.

I just want to say thank you to OUTsurance for not trying to contact me more than the two times I was unable to answer my phone.

I work in the field all day and I’m not sitting in an office next to my phone waiting for calls. I work from around 7am to 6pm and I’m often unable to answer my phone while I’m working.

I submitted a claim and provided all the information and documentation that was requested. I also specifically requested that everything regarding the claim be handled via email, as I’m not always available to answer my phone during working hours.

Now, because I missed two calls, I’m expected to phone OUTsurance myself just so we can discuss my claim.

Perhaps instead of giving up after two unanswered calls, you could try calling again, or simply communicate via email as I requested. I’m more than happy to discuss the claim and provide anything else that may be needed — I just can’t always answer my phone while I’m out working.

My request is simple: please continue processing my claim and contact me via email regarding any outstanding information or questions. If a phone call is genuinely required, please keep trying to contact me rather than expecting me to chase up

Dishonest business. Doubled the market value of my car to ask higher premium. Same happend to another family member. Their call center is a nightmare. Busy changing to another insurance and they are forcing you to cancel by phone instead of email, as all other legit companies do. I also don‘t trust the recently good rating they reflect on google and hellopeter. Maybe Outsurance employees are asked to leave dishonest positive reviews by the hour. Check the 1 star reviews for the truth. No one in my social circle and family has anything good to say about Outsurance. They used to be good in the earlier days…

My Father in law passed away and his vehicle was insured through Outsurance. I called to move the Insurance to my name and was asked to send the death certificate, which I immediately did. I did not hear back from Outsurance and insured the vehicle elsewhere. They took the debit order from my deceased FIL’s account. I called Customer service who said the Manager that I sent the email to is not in yet but they will call me within an hour. I am still waiting for a return call and they just took the debit order again. How pathetic is that????

Extremely Disappointing Service from OUTsurance Business

After being a loyal OUTsurance client for approximately 15 years, I am extremely disappointed by the way my business has been treated.

I recently moved my business to larger premises. Instead of supporting me through this transition, OUTsurance sent a surveyor who, in my opinion, appeared inexperienced and did not properly understand my business or the premises. Following this inspection, OUTsurance cancelled my policy instead of discussing the concerns with me and giving me a fair opportunity to address them.

Despite writing to different departments and asking for assistance, I have received no meaningful response or proper resolution.

OUTsurance advertises how they “go the extra mile” for businesses, but my personal experience has been the complete opposite. After 15 years of loyalty, I expected professional service, clear communication and a fair opportunity to correct any concerns—not cancellation and silence.

I strongly advise other business owners to carefully consider whether OUTsurance Business will support them when their circumstances change. Advertising promises mean very little when loyal clients are treated this way.

No issues at all whether its household,car or pet insurance.
Always go the extra mile and help out and understand what human interaction means.
Every single person you speak to by the end of the call you feel like you have been welcomed into a beautiful,caring family with wide open arms.
