Absolute cowboys. They’ll promise you the world and present themselves as experts, friendly and professional — right up until they’ve taken your hard-earned money.
The reality of my experience has been completely different. The standard of work has been appalling, and some of it has been so badly carried out that it is genuinely dangerous. This isn’t simply a case of a few cosmetic issues — I’ve been left facing thousands of pounds in additional costs just to put the work right and make it safe.
Once they had been paid, communication became a completely different story. Calls and emails were ignored, leaving me to deal with the consequences and the expense of correcting work that should have been done properly in the first place.
I’m sure I can’t be the only person who has been left in this position, and I strongly suspect there are many more people who have had similar experiences.
And if you ever visit the apparent showroom and workshop, the state they’re kept in should speak for itself. It certainly didn’t give me confidence that I was dealing with the professional outfit I was led to believe I was.
Do your homework before handing over any money. Read the reviews, look into the company properly and check its financial history. Don’t be taken in by how confident, friendly or knowledgeable they appear at the start.
For me, the consequences have been extremely costly and, more importantly, potentially dangerous. Thousands of pounds out of pocket to rectify work that should have been done properly in the first place.

Dealing with this company is a most difficult experience and although some of their work is outstanding key areas are below acceptable standards, for example the wiring, which we had to have completely replaced. Payment on completion advised. Their list of excuses makes great reading, nothing is sacred!

NT CONVERSIONS, Belmont Works, STOKE-ON-TRENT. Not sure why it’s coming up as US.
They took a HUGE deposit for a full van conversion, promised they could do anything, convinced me they were highly skilled. (More fool me for believing them - they certainly can talk the talk! ) Once they got the money they left me hanging for 8 months - excuse after excuse, unmet deadlines were standard. Once they have your money, they disappear. Giving excuse after excuse - starting with emotional, then veering into radio silence, unanswered calls, unanswered emails, and when you finally chase them up at their workshop (when they are actually there) there are a 101 excuses as to why it’s not been done. They seem to think they’re doing you a favour? Not how to run a business. Very charming and convincing at the start until they get your money, but they are simply not up to the work. The variety of lies and the excuses were unbelievable. My new van was butchered beyond belief. I’m a year down, had to pay for Tax and insurance but had no van, and thousands of pounds out of pocket, as, not only did they charge me for the shoddy work and materials I’ve not had, I’ve had to pay every single job NT Cowboys did to be taken out and reinstalled properly. Snagged wiring loom, the installation of the pop top was dangerous - it flew open whilst driving, and and incorrectly sealed - a complete bodge job, even after taking it back to be rectified, it was still not fit for purpose - I had to take it and pay the manufacturers to finish the job and make it safe… windows not fitted correctly and had to be re-installed… diesel tank leaking… the list goes on..and on… far too many to mention!! I was going to take them to court to be claim back the money they already owed me together with the costs to correct, but found they had 3 CCJs (County Court Judgements) 2 of which were unpaid. One of which was over £20K. This speaks for itself. 

DO NOT ENTRUST YOUR VEHICLE WITH THIS COMPANY! Dreadful company with no morals. Please take my experience and this review as a warning and steer well clear! At least do your homework if you don’t believe me - check the state of their finances via Companies House and regarding CCJS you can pay for £8 to check for yourself - which is worth it - it will save you thousands, and maybe even your life!

UPDATE - the brand new diesel heater was puffing out black smoke - I had it checked out and they’d fitted the wrong pipe to the diesel tank. Costing yet more money to have corrected.
