Strong 4+ for me. I had an issue of Timeout or something while gaining documentation.

The email response took some hours and the contact was pleasant the issue was resolved and completed Swiftly.

Worse credit agency. DONOT use them. Very slow and doesn’t provided support. I have near perfect credit score but NOVA kept email me stating my income info is incomplete more than 3 times without informing which part is incomplete. I connected both my bank account and my payroll account but 5 days later, I still receive the email stating incomplete. After I received approval, they continue sending email stating incomplete income information. Worse credit checking experience ever!

On July 31, Nova Credit was unable to automatically connect with my bank so that my upcoming landlord could look at my bank accounts. I immediately informed Nova Credit. Nova Credit finally responded to my problem today, on Aug. 26. What a joke of a company.

Was asked to complete a verification of income thru Nova Credit for my apartment application. Submitted a paystub, seemed easy enough. Except the agent told me there was an error with the service and to try connecting my bank account. I do, but Nova kept sending email reminders to complete it every two hours, and I resubmitted my info the first couple times, but when I followed up again they said they still couldn't access it. I submitted a help ticket to Nova, and let them know the error code, but no one from Nova ever responded to me. I sent my paystubs and bank statements to the property management company, and they ask to try Nova one more time to no avail. They have to override the approval process. Apparently Nova's system struggles with state paystubs, and certain banks? Our lease start date was delayed by 7 days because of this. I will most likely also be writing letters to city council to get them to ban services like this, because i am also unable to pay my rent online through the same portal. The management company has been around for quite a while, but this seems like a new system for them.

I had to use Nova Credit to apply for an apartment. While I'm not concerned about the security of Nova, their verification of my income was completely wrong and counted me as only having been paid for the past two months at a significantly lower income than I was making. Thankfully the complex was very willing to work with me and accepted my paystubs and screenshots from my banking app of my deposits since January, but the whole thing was frustrating and stressful. I would encourage complexes to not use Nova as part of their screening process.

Sarah was great with customer service. The app has a lot of issues, link did not work well.

The verification link never worked and customer service never got back to me. Don't waste your time using this background checker. You’ll be better off using something else.

Good customer support service

My wife and I easily made enough money to afford our apartment, but because we had been paid in GBP and not USD, Nova Credit counted our income as zero. Further, I showed Nova Credit near perfect credit and a bank account with enough liquid USD to cover my rent until I’m dead from old age and they still require a co-signer. What an absolute joke of financial services company.

The experience was great due to their representative Kasey providing step by step instructions in order to complete the income verification. The website is a bit clunky but was able to get it done.

This was used when I applied for my apartment. I did not mind linking my bank accounts as I am self employed. It was really easier than all the writing you used to have to do for credit approvals.

Nova Credit asked my son for my bank login information. My son is a doctor. Clearly, they are phishers. If you provided them with your bank login information, change your password, then close your bank account. When banks start losing enough customers, these scammers will get shut down.

I recently used Nova Credit to help me establish my credit profile in Canada, and I had a truly great experience. The entire process was smooth, clear, and very well organized, which made a potentially stressful situation much easier to manage.
