On Friday, June 26, 2026, I submitted a loan application through NotchUp's website. As part of the application process, I was instructed to connect my bank account and provide copies of my government-issued ID, banking information, and emergency contact details via email. I found this concerning, as I expected sensitive personal information to be submitted through a secure portal rather than by email.

Another concern was the discrepancy between the company's advertised processing time and the information I received afterward. The website indicates that applications can be processed in as little as 15 minutes, yet the email I received stated that applications are reviewed in batches and can take 72 hours or longer. My experience did not align with what was advertised.

After researching the company further and reading customer reviews, I decided that I was no longer comfortable proceeding with the application. I contacted the company immediately to cancel my application and requested that my account, personal information, and banking details be permanently deleted from their system.

At the time of writing this review, I have not received confirmation that my request has been completed. Considering the amount of sensitive information I provided before receiving any loan agreement or funding, I would have expected a much more prompt response regarding the cancellation of my application and the deletion of my personal information.

I hope the company addresses this matter quickly and improves both its communication and the security of its application process for future applicants.

I am so angry with this company, I had surgery the day I applied in April. I enquired likely because of the adverse reactions I have mentally on morphine medications. Anyways, I obviously signed some things that even after when I seen in my right mind , looked like loan documents but noticed I emailed them back minutes later explaining I misunderstood what this was and for it to be cancelled . I continued to e mail after being 100% ignored . Fast forward a month , I recieved not a cent from this compan,y but yet they debited my bank account. I immediately contacted them (which is almost impossible as it's all automated no actual reps) no one called me back so I e mailed to explained situation . I recieved one e mail back after several e mails, it said they would not take any more money and they said I did not cancel this apparent subscription that costs $20 a month within the time frame . I screen shot the many requested attempts the same day saying I misunderstood what this was because they made it look like a loan I was signing for after applying . Even now not on medication I find it every confusing so I can see why , i think I was looking for help as I was stuck in Calgary hospital after being taken there for emergency surgery without a cent to get myself home once healed . I don't even remember doing it , I was confident signing for 1 under an influence was not binding and second I immediately even in that state must have realised I did not want it and sent several e mails asking to be cancelled . It's been a month since they took money out , no one responds because they are scummy and lie. I wil pursue this further ww try have cost me an NSF fee, stress while trying to heal and failure to respect that contract was signed while under the influence , not to mention I still don't know what it was even for ! They can clearly see I never winter into anything, never recieved a cent so idk . After today I will seek legal help ! Stay away from them z it you have problems you cannot talk to anyone live and they will ignore you !

Don't listen to the false advertising or promoting, funny how inaccurate they are, its a very basic system that runs to much in the background, making it seem more a dat collection system, three of us with same income, same rents and such, and yet 1 out of 3 even was considered , the other two didn't get a second of consideration, so not looking at the info or bank accounts or anything, yet basing its approval on clear biases built into their system that just is moronic, much like the useless customer support that is just another idiot bot.

Quite disgusted by how this run. I thought i had found an amazing company to do business with, First loan, perfect. Paid through automatic withdrawls, never an issue. They said i was re-elligble for a second one, did the exact same thing. Third one, re elligle. They pulled the payments on their timeframe. My account always has plenty of funds to cover bills/payments. Apparently I had one late payment, which they never once notificed me about, and which is actually a croc of crap....as i've never not had money in my account.
I got a your eligible to reapply. Great. Now they say i'm only eligible to apply to some building program where I receive 500 in the end. LOL They cannot give me any answer other then "things change"

I see many comments with the same issue. After a couple small loans paid back they deny you another loan claiming your income doesn’t qualify, yet it was sufficient to qualify for 4 loans prior. This is a scam to trap you into the 12 month loan where you have to pay $89 uk front and after 3-4 months of $42 bi weekly payments they unlock a portion of the $1000 loan they claim you’re approved for. After 12 months where you have paid them $1000 they release the remaining $600. What an absolute scam and joke! I will be watching my account to ensure no further debits occur as I owe them nothing.

I would give this company negative signed up connected my bank didn't even apply for anything yet and they've already took 10$ out if my bank for 0 reason I havent even used there services yet. Complete scam put a stop payment on them right away if your bank is connected cause they will take money whenever they want even with no loan

Would give a zero but can't. Its a bad site. They have now stolen money twice from my account. DO NOT TRUST THEM. immediatly dispute any charges or change your banking numbers.

This company can not be trusted
A) there website doesn't even work after you connect your bank
B) they have no customer service, it's a complete lie.
C) they are doing sketchy stuff if my bank account is approved through Plaid yet no option to get a loan after approval.

I’ve tried multiple times to get a loan for even just $50-$100 and yes I’ll get approved, but the second I go to connect my bank it doesn’t proceed any further, I get the notification from my bank that I’m “Logging in on another device” which is what I’m supposed to see, I click allow, I go back to continue withdrawing my funds and it just doesn’t do anything, it stays there either trying to connect my bank or what I can assume they’re just trying to get all my bank information without even giving me any money. Sketchy as hell.

Do not waste your time with NotchUp. I provided required bank online verification to verify my income, handing over sensitive financial data under the impression that I was approved. However, their review system is completely unreliable. After an initial approval last April and has autodebit my first payment, my loan on the next month was suddenly denied and revoked upon reapplication without any clear or valid explanation.It feels like a total bait-and-switch. They get access to your personal financial history, and then pull the rug out from under you when you actually need the funds. If you are in a tight spot and need a dependable service, TryBREE it saves life million times. NotchUp cannot be trusted to follow through on their approvals.

First two loans no problem. Paid back in full and now being denied and trying to offer me a notup build which you pay for 12 months and then supposedly get the money after the year. No thank you! They tried telling me its because of income and transactions meanwhile nothing changed! My income is direct deposit and actually got paid more last couple of pays! Does not make sense! No more Notchup! Bye bye!

If I could I’d have given them zero stars. I used them because I needed them, and would have continued to use them if they hadn’t of taken 2 full payments on the same day, for the same loan. Yes I owed them for one of those, not 2!! This was on May 19, 2026 and at first they were messaging me back.. but for the last 48 hours, they’ve actually been ghosting me!! Funny, they’re quick to message back any other time!! Sooooo frustrating!! If you have other options, I’d stay far away if I were you!

Same income, same paydates, even pay off loans early, go to reapply and they deny me after 4 previous loans?????? Go figure. What a joke. Had i known i definitely wouldnt have paid off my loan early. This site is a joke man. They definitely know nothing about consistency. My advice...... NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE

I recieved a email from NotchUp finacial for a etransfer .

I emailed them and said this was fraud as I havr no loan with them . They then went into my account unlawfully with the intention of committing fraud and withdrew 114.00.

They have been reported for fraud and unauthorized withdrawal of funds .

I will be reimbursed and a investigation is in process

Worst service ever! 15 min loans, lmao! Try days of waiting to even sign agreement, then more days to get the money, if you even get it.

Do not waste your time if you’re looking for a quick loan. There is absolutely no customer service. The number is automated and doesn’t know anything.

Plenty errors message after 5 loans same income .... renewal is bugged it wont loan and o ly give error message.(We are attempting to assess your eligibility. Please check that all bank connections are reconnected and refreshed below)... I think its scam they just send me a contract where I pay them 1089$ without getting any loan for 2 years... I taught I liked them for being g quick 24/7 that they would get a 5/5 stars google review but since they are not awnsering me and only sending g error message and strange non sence illegal contract they have the worst feedback I ever left in here.

Awful. Gave me 3 loans all paid on time. Now I dont qualify.. 2 loans with the income I have no no issues this time theres a issue. Do not recommend.

I got approved last month. My loan got paid back. Now, it says I'm not eligible for a loan. I asked why and got the same automated response from the A.I that emails you ( I don't think they are even real people). Waste of time and frustrating

Well I’m definitely not impressed with this company. I applied 4 days ago, I was getting responses quickly. It took a whole 24 hrs or more just to get documentation sent for signatures.. and now… I’m still waiting for funds to be deposited I’m gettimg no response I’m trying to revoke the documents because now im not feel good about this transaction.. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.. so I received a email after multiple emails sent requesting to revoke my agreement due to lack of communication. I logged into my account and saw that there is a pending payment issued for the 8th of May. I didn’t even receive the payment for that to even be pending. (??) just a all bad experience from this place. Not even a manger will contact me. A 15 min $75 loan turned into no moneys and 5 days later with a pending owing amount now.. like how can this even happen???

I used this app as it was recommended like Bree or Nyble. Also, I had loaned a small amount. Repaid on time. To find out that I would not be allowed to re-loan again because of my credit score ? I was told by a representative threw email. The hiccups with connecting my tangerine account just to verify it went threw was alot of hoops to jump threw for a measley $50.00

I wouldn't recommend this company.
