I searched for the car I wanted on Carwow and it referred me to Norton Way Mazda in Letchworth. Leigh was very friendly, helpful and efficient which resulted in me buying a great Mazda MX-5. The car was well prepared and the handover seamless. All in all, a good experience.

Leigh kept us updated with pictures, and even a video of the car before we went to see it, she even offered to go out of her way and bring the car to us to test drive. Seamless & good communication

I am writing to express my profound disappointment with the service I received at Norton Way Mazda on February 27, 2024. My vehicle was brought in for its annual service, and I explicitly requested, both verbally and in writing on the job card, that the car not be washed. This request was made due to my meticulous car care, including a £1300 two-stage polish and ceramic coating, and my practice of hand-washing and blow-drying the car myself.
Prior to handing over my keys, a joint inspection was conducted, and a pre-existing scratch on the bonnet was noted. No other damage was present.
Upon collecting my vehicle at approximately 17:40, just before closing, I immediately noticed that my car had been washed, or at least an attempt had been made. The car was still dirty, with towel marks visible all over the paintwork. Despite the diminishing daylight, I observed scratches on the offside. Further inspection with a torch revealed scratches across the entire car, likely caused by towel drying dirt and grit.
I immediately returned to the dealership to address this issue with Deniz Harper. I showed him the damage and inquired why my explicit request had been disregarded. I stated that I expected my car to be returned in the same condition it was received, without any additional scratches. We agreed that I would return the following day to inspect the car in daylight and discuss a resolution.
The following day, Norton Way Mazda attempted to deny responsibility, despite my clear request and the resulting damage. I informed them that my dash cam had recorded our previous conversation. They then acknowledged some of the damage and stated they would investigate, including reviewing CCTV footage, and their manager would contact me within a couple of weeks.
A week later, I received a call from Ricky, who requested an inspection by an independent body shop, which I agreed to. Since then, Norton Way Mazda has ignored all my subsequent calls and emails.
Their complete lack of accountability and disregard for my explicit instructions is unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone who values their vehicle to avoid Norton Way Mazda. Their actions have forced me to seek legal counsel and pursue compensation through the courts, supported by dash cam footage, photos, and a forthcoming independent body shop assessment.
I would strongly recommend if you care about your car stay away from norton way Mazda as they will ruin it.
