This was a very convenient way to cover my RYA Yachtmaster Coastal theory course before doing my practical. The course material is challenging but you get plenty of chances to get it wrong before doing it for the assessment. That lead in my case to many eureka moments where things started to make sense. The assistance during the assessment was very prompt, even on the weekend.

The registration was quick and the support to get started was good and well explained. The setup of the modules was logic and the content with explenation and videos was very proffesional. The support underway was quick and to the point.
I am a navy officer with many years of naval planning and navigating big ships (many years since I did the naval academy and sailing sailboats. Stay humble to your knowledge). The steps in the course for planning a trip, including tidal calculations was explained in an easy and logic way. For someone who is starting to learn navigation, planning and what to consider, this was a really good introduction.
Through some of the tasks, I would have planned the trip in a different way. Which off course led me to provide the wrong answer. Some of the "correct" answers from RYA would be useful to discuss.
Overall a very good and proffesional course.

I passed 2 theory courses here. I have to admit very high level Navathom specialists. If you need any help they are right hete - you just need to drop the E-mail.

The only difficulty I had was with the bank transfer. Perhaps, it would be useful to have an account in Euros in some of the respectable European banks.

End of section quizzes and tests make progressing the course easy and confirms learning.
The supplied pack of charts, Almanac, Dividers and Plotter are ideal for the practical element of planning sailing on charts.
The final assessment was a good set of questions to confirm understanding of what was learned on the course and included practical chartwork.
Any problem areas are promptly resolved by feedback via email.

Recently I completed the Coastal Skipper theory course, which was excellent. The material was clear and well presented, feedback was very quick and instructor support was always available. I'd previously done the Day Skipper theory course, so knew the training would be good.
One of the many strengths of Navathome courses is that they're divided into small sections, so if you have 20 minutes to fill you can put them to good use.
