I did my RYA Coastal Skipper training and it was a joy. Well it was a lot of hard work, but the team were very responsive to my stupid questions, the course is well laid out and I got there in the end. Five starts - recomended.

All guidance really easy to understand. Did not need to contact a tutor once throughout. My assessment result came through in around 20 mins. Much preferred this option rather than sitting in a class room

Although the amount of necessary information and material to be covered in the course can be daunting initially, I received very helpful individual guidance and feedback in any areas that needed revisiting.
If one can’t attend the course directly in person at a sailing school directly, then this online course is highly recommendable, since it’s available worldwide.

Good quality training materials. Everything provided to enable me to pass Day Skipper Theory. Assistance available 7 days a week - which is impressive and emails answered within 10minutes or so.

Good self study course with attentive support from Nav at home staff. Course structure and information well laid out. Good mix between study material, interactive tests and video tutorials.

Course was very interesting and informative, going to be very useful for next sailing trip where I can put the learning into practice.

If possible I would advise doing the course as quickly as possible and not dragging it out as you then need to revise quite a bit to pass the exam.

The NavAtHome crew are very supportive and the course material is quite thorough with a clear structure. The only thing that might be challenging is for those who are not native British-English speakers, a few sections may be a little confusing. However, the instructors are available anytime to help clarify questions. Will definitely recommend NavAtHome!
