My husband & I called into Mole Valley South Molton branch to pick up wild bird seed / food yesterday which gets loaded into our SUV in their Yard. . The service we received was excellent & actually seeing Justin actually made MY day & that of my husband's too_ the reason is because he is just so kind always is__ we look forward to seeing if he is working the day we call in to do a shop _ a" real Keeper "as he always wants to know how we are doing & has a little chat with us if he isn't too busy which we both appreciate a lot _ (yard work in all weathers is I'm sure tough at the best of times & they all need to be appreciated )

Poor service.
I checked the website to confirm they do sell calor gas, which they do, so I called the store to make sure they had stock and was told they had 8 in stock.
I wasn’t asked if I wanted Calor or flogas.
But I did say I had a canister to exchange.
Got there and paid, no issues with the customer service from that assistant.
Handed over the docket and was told they only have flogas in stock and not calor.
I was frustrated and said I was told there was stock and the yardsman was rude, condescending and pointed to a sign which I wouldn’t have seen prior because I hadn’t parked by that gate and it was open by the time I had driven to it.
Instead of giving good customer service which would have helped calm the issue he just inflamed it. So hence the one star review.

Ordered a pallet of Haylage to be delivered to the north of Scotland. Expected to have to wait sometime for delivery, but amazingly it was with me within a few days. Exceptional service*

I've shopped at Mole Valley for years and more recently for regular purchases of poultry supplies for my tiny back garden flock. The "galvanised" bucket waterer I bought for them had started to rust inside and eventually the hens refused to drink from it. So I took it back, stating that it's not fit for purpose and left it with them to follow their return procedure. They apparently contacted the manufacturer, who said that the structure hadn't failed and therefore no refund of any amount. Despite repeatedly telling them it's not fit for purpose, they wouldn't budge and I was unable to pursue it due to health condition limitations. Disgusted and fuming. I will never shop at Mole Valley again.

Liskeard. Quite the 'customer service' experience. Scowled at looked up and down by the (?) floor manager on entering. Literally stared me out!? Ignored at counter until 2 shop staff finished chinwagging. Counter staff ignored my greeting and refused eye contact. Went to yard to buy a post. Floor manager was outside collecting staff from yard sales office. Saw me walk to office to pay. Said nothing. Left me standing for 10 minutes. Found them inside the store having a meeting. With these idiots in post, you won't keep good staff.

I bought pig finisher nuts from Frome only to find on opening a bag that they were in fact pellets, not nuts as stated on the bag. This is surely a contravention of the trade description act!!!

In January of this year, I purchased a Fire ash vacuum from the South Moton branch.Yesterday it stopped working?? Today I took it back to the branch, I didn’t have my receipt! The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Debbie, who found my transaction in the end, and gave me a full refund. She was very professional, helpful and friendly. A big thanks to all the staff at the South Molton branch of Mole Vally.

The business is going down and down, staff are treated like sheep, pay is appalling, rewards non existent, staff progression (only if you drink the koolaid) otherwise doesn’t happen.

You’re worked hours over your contract and not reimbursed, with money or time back and there’s no give when you need it.

Regional managers are dreadful people, looking to support their own existence primarily to keep a cushy job with new cars paid for and expenses met. While the rest of
Us go with payment under the average, no pay raises beyond what government force them to do and no recognition or rewards… tell a lie you get your name mentioned in an online meeting only managers attend for long service. Even those completing 1 year… which is telling…

If I could give this company any advice it would be to ditch the IT equipment and start again. Perform a major stock reset with systems that can actually make 2+2=4. Stop cheaping out on apps cobbled together in house. None of them work properly. Rid yourself of the bloat at head office and spend some money on your stores. Which by and large are falling apart. Spend some money on staff benefits people want and will use.

Ditch the current HR team they are doing you no favours, and re engage with the people who actually talk to the farmers on a daily basis. They are where your profits come and should be made to feel like they are important not merely down trodden shel stackers and till operators. It’s these people who make your stores profitable, developing relationships which can stand the let downs head office cause.

Purchased quickclip insulators online, and item was dispatched pretty quickly... However, Mole Valley insist on using DHL, for their delivery services.
My tracking showed, shipment received, out for delivery, back into the delivery depot, shipment in delivery location, shiment at delivery depot, out for delivery, ( minutes later) scanned back in to delivery depot, then, shipment received in delivery location.
All this within 3 days, now i know Mole Valley can't be held responsible for the way DHL do business...
BUT FOR GODS SAKE USE PARCELFORCE !!!!!

Bought sheep feed from Yeovil and what was loaded into my car was incorrect. Went to Gillingham as didn’t have time to return to Yeovil the following day and staff at Gillingham couldn’t have been more unhelpful and rude. They even said they would take the incorrect feed and I could re-buy what I wanted! Called Yeovil and they apologised for the error and delivered the correct item same day, wish I’d just called them and not bothered going to Gillingham. Emailed customer service to complain a week ago and they didn’t even acknowledge my email, dreadful customer service.

Have to say, I'm somewhat surprised by all the negative reviews. I use the store based in Newbury. Shop floor and warehouse staff are all very polite and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. I've never had a bad experience to date. Long may it last.

So went to buy Crovect from Mole Valley Farmers at Billingshurst, yes it’s a restricted product, the person that can authorise the sale only works until 14:30 but goes for lunch between 12:00 and 13:00. Was there before 12:00 no sign of anyone at the desk, by the time I got to speak to a staff member, she’d gone for lunch. Um great service!

Female staff member, very rude, condescending, spoke down to me, refused to sell deosan , did not believe I live on a farm, I am sure if I was a white, middle class female farmer , her tone would have been different.

Ordered a galvanised trough and 3 bags of Jacks magic compost online. A widely advertised deal was on for the compost and no evidence of any terms or conditions on the offer. As I was ordering I was asked to join for a welcome discount (5%)

Being used to organisations treating customers fairly i assumed (clearly incorrectly) that I would enjoy the compost offer and the welcome £5 off the galvanised trough.

Oh no chance! The welcome offer apparently negated any other offer, so I paid £7.24 more for the compost than anyone else.

So when I went to collect the goods ( which I was left alone to load up - too kind of you) splattered everywhere was the offer

Oh how I laughed when I was told it’s all in the T&C!

Come on Mole Valley you are better than this

I regularly use the Gillingham, Dorset branch. The team are always fantastic. Helpful and attentive. The store is a bit of a lifeline for the farming area. Sad to see lots of negative comments for other branches, as it’s totally opposite for Gil.

Worst experience I’ve ever had and would NEVER go again. Would highly recommend going anywhere else if need be.

I visited Mole Valley yesterday for some coal and was meet by a very rude and abusive gentleman who told me could I not read as there was a sign evidently outside. I am virtually blind so could not read the sign and my partner told me it was not even high enough to read as it was basically at ground level strung up between two cones. I asked for some coal as we were out and again was told I couldn't read as they were not selling the coal due to severe flooding. Even though the coal was stacked up outside and was not even in the flood zone. So rest assured I will never be setting foot again in Mole valley as being virtually blind and disabled I dont need to be treated like a piece of dirt he had trodden in. So all in all mole valley lost a good customer and about a thousand pound sale.

I had bought a pair of high end wellies online a year ago and they had stated to leak through a faulty seam - typically it was just outside the 1 year guarantee period! I emailed customer services on 17th Dec and they were swift to respond to my email and Tina went into bat with the manufacturer and persuaded them to replace them for me. She took time to call me to let me know she had arranged a delivery and they arrived today - just 2 days after my first email! Excellent service - thank you.

First time I shopped with this company. I ordered shavings for horse stables online with discount code. The code worked but was unable to pay as something went wrong at payout. Went to the redhill store and was fobbed off by everyone including manager. Several excuses given but in the end manager said online and shop are different you don’t get discount. I wrote to their complaints , about as useful as a chocolate tea pot. First and last time at this disorganised excuse of a store.

We traveled over 30 miles to look at (and hopefully buy) a pair of wellington boots that the Cullompton store showed as in stock in the two relevant sizes. The store did not have the boots in any size. Get your internet information right. Not happy
