Do not work for this company as favouritism is a big thing with head office and rbm managers, a site allowed a chef to keep there job even though they ignored a nut allergy and allowed them to stay employed and fired another employee for something less severe,highly recommend not to work for this company, corrupt in so many ways.

Do not work for this company you will have no home life.
They will take all the energy you have and make u ill from l the hours with no extra pay for extra you do.
When they can't get no more from you they will get rid of you.
AVOID!!!

The company does not allow wasteage so managers rarely clean the beer lines. This results in awful tasting beer at premium prices. The food is generally the same for all brands so you could be eating the same food in a miller and carter as a sizling but paying double for it. Staff are treated poorly. Payroll don't even work on payday and demand your employee number and place of work before they even talk to you. This is so that when they provoke you into getting angry about not being paid properly, they can ensure you get "what's coming to you"
All in all bad company with bad practices. If you want to go to the pub for drinks or a meal go to your local indipendant. You may pay slightly more but you'll get what you pay for.

This is a review about miller & Carter
At Leicester road .

We went there for lunch and it was a completely terrible meal most of my family and friends had cold food and was badly cooked .

My food was cold and they then reheated the same food which caused my steak to be over cooked
They brought my food back and it was the same steak.

most of my guests food was cold
And it was not until we left that none of them enjoyed their dinner but my family did not say much due to it being a birthday dinner.

the waitress missed of drinks etc

and then my grandson was sent out chipped pots which was terrible the salt pots was rusty.

When I complained the manger was defensive and rude and she told me it was Company policy to reheat customers food .
I then wrote a email and then the email i received back from this company was disgusting as they was saying I was not listening and I was being rude .
No I was not rude just very upset !

Honestly this was not the case I was upset it my daughter 21st and I was very hungry .
I couldn’t eat my food due to them telling it was a reheat I have IBS and there was no way I was eating reheated food it should have all been fresh .
The manger there is totally not a nice person and she told me that she knew the pots was damaged but there was more on order !!

I said ti her my grandson could have cut his finger
Her response was oh well he didn’t did he

and then they say I was being rude .
Honestly this company has then completely blamed me and told me it it’s not the place for me !!!

Please don’t book at this place

Seated at a greasy table with grease all over menus. Got wrong order with sour cream missing from my nachos and the waitress rather than taking and dish back and mending it brought me sour cream in a plastic pot. Fuming, I finished my drink left the food untouched and left loosing money but will NEVER ever go to any of their places again. It's not a first time, on two other occasions they forgot completely about my food and other people in party go theirs and other time I was waiting for food so long that I took my money and simply left.

I visited The Turnpike and while ordering I informed my server that I had pre purchased x 3 Groupon vouchers @ £18 each for x2 selected starters and selected sizzlers on each voucher.  I then went on to place my order.  Then the problem's started, neither the server or duty manager knew how to process Groupon vouchers. It was suggested I returned to my seat while they worked it out or seeked advice.  Eventually my server said she had worked it out.  Yay the first voucher scanned OK, then came the problem's, the other 2 vouchers purchased that very morning failed and kept failing.  The system was saying they were either blocked or had already been used.  The server insisted it was Groupons fault and nothing to do with Mitchells & Butlers.  So I agreed to pay the full price of £69.95 of which I have the receipt.  I have spoken at some length with Groupon and they assure me the 2 out of the 3 vouchers are still valid.  I have copies of all transactions and conversations in text.  If this matter can not be resolved, I will have to seek further advice else where!

Please please stop changing the veg - I loathe bubble and squeak and cabbage in sauce! Other people hate it too - listen to your guests. The mashed carrots and green beans are wonderful so please keep them on.

Recently stayed at a hotel in Maidestone and upon check in I verified my debit card at reception. Within an hour this company tried to take £29.99 from my card with recurring debits. Thankfully my bank contacted me and blocked the transactions. They have been reported for fraud.

This company seems to be staffed by teenagers, I emailed them about abusive replies a manager had put on tripadvisor, the area manager didn't reply, I then had an email from another customer service (JOKE) manager saying my emails would not be answered, the area manager had complained ! I was 'putting pressure' on them to sack the manager. Another member of staff lied and said I had been rude, a total lie and CCTV proved it, the staff lie because they know area managers are weak.
Staff are abusive to customers, seem to think they can lie and be rude and it won't matter, just part-timers who know they will be working somewhere else next year and don't care if pub goes out of business. Disgustingly rude, the whole company is a joke. Food crap anyway, just rude ignorant abusive staff at every level.

I worked for this company until they advertised my job for more than what they were paying me at the time.

So many jobs from this company posted on to indeed, maybe if you paid your staff correctly and stop being a shady business, you might actually be able to keep staff!

The area manager for my establishment was a moron, there was a lot of moving about within the company when I started, red flags everywhere.

All about the shareholders qt the end of the day, just another soulless business out to claw as much money as they can and if that means underpaying staff then that's what is going to happen.

There is no point submitting a complaint into this company. They don’t care and you are treat in an awful manner. The team cannot get their story straight and tell you different answers no consistency at all and they can be confusing. With the help from their CEO it was escalated to the next step up. They were so rude and speak to you and treat you in a dreadful manner. So again with the help from the CEO this was escalated to the appropriate manager at the next level up. There was zero communication from this company that this person was on annual leave as the CEO doesn’t reply and you have to chase them up, the manager had to reply on a weekend to tell me they were on annual leave. They were not much better, they sent a basic reply refusing to comment on all of the points made on the complaint. A really bad issue was raised to them and they were not interested at all and just ignored this. Some of the comments on the basic reply from the manager were not at a very good standard for a manager replying to a complaint some of the wording was not good at all when speaking to customers. The manager was protecting their staff when it was clear that their staff were the ones that shouldn’t be treating people in this way. In one sentence the manager admitted their staff had been rude and then at the end of the same sentence they said that their staff weren’t rude, how confusing is that!! All of the staff I have had communication off seem to be very rude and have no idea how to talk to customers and treat customers. As this is happening with higher levelled staff then it’s no wonder the people below them are behaving this way. They don’t deserve your money and will not be getting rich on me. There are much better places to eat. Considering they have care in their job titles nothing caring about them.

Used this company to order drinks in a London famous pub - The Horniman At Hays - using the QR code at the table.

In some way a scam company called Tursaki.com started charging me money throughout the following week, increasing the amount each time. Luckily, I realised this and was able to block and cancel my card.

My bank was able to link the scam to this transaction because the first charge from the scam company came out 2 minutes after I ordered my drinks there.

Of course, this costed me money and a lot of time. Shame that in some way these hackers found a method to hack the QR payment system at this place.

Be careful.

Derby Arms Epsom. Spent £188 on meal for 4. At precisely 8:53 we had finished meal and attempted to order 2 digestifs and a tea. Was told “bar’s closed” at 8:53???Asked to see manager, they then Produced the order. Pub closed at 9. Website says 10:30. Will be contacting CEO.

They have ignored several attempts to complain about Toby Carvery.
