What customers should know
I purchased a mobility scooter for my wife, after 3 days it.became obvious that my wife's dementia would not allow her to operate the scooter safely.Still within the 14 day cooling off period I was informed I would have to pay a 20% restock fee. Where is the compassion? Scooter had never been outside our driveway.

Whilst we completely sympathise with your situation, the 20% restocking fee is within our Terms & Conditions, which are viewable in full prior to the making of any purchase.
Whilst we would love to help you and your wife by returning the scooter free of charge, there are certain business considerations we must bear in mind. Regarding the restocking fee, a return results in an inherent loss in value for the product as it is no longer brand new. The restocking fee reflects this unavoidable reality.
We hope this makes sense and if there is anything more we can do to help we would be more than happy to.

I ordered and paid for a mobility scooter online. then someone rang me to say they were not available until the middle of July and I need it ASAP. I don’t think you should be selling things online which aren’t available. I now have to wait for the money to be refunded before I can go elsewhere.

Extremely pleased with product and service
Extremely pleased with my purchase of a vista rascal mobility scooter from lifestyle and mobility. This is my first experience with the company. Excellent experience all the way from initial call to delivery of my new scooter. All the sales team were very helpful and actually listened which is very rare these days. Matt was a great chap, friendly and knowledgeable and I expect was very tired after his long journey that day but it did not show. Excellent company, would highly recommend.

The powerchair in question, the 'Quest', is not one of our more popular models so once your order came through our online team quickly contacted the manufacturer about their stock levels and informed you of their stock situation as soon as possible.
On that call to you, you were offered to wait till the chair is back in stock, an alternative product with arguably better specifications for the same price to compensate for the issue, and a refund. We hope at the very least you were pleased with this part of your experience.

Great scooter experience
I needed a scooter to be able to go out more, but I didn’t really know what kind of one I needed. We had great help from staff who listened carefully to what I wanted to achieve with it, and gave me recommendations, and had me test the options to get a feel for them.
Once I had decided on the model (Zest plus) they took great care to explain and demonstrate how it comes apart and goes together until my carer was confident that he could get it right. They checked I could use it confidently and safely. They helped me test that it would fit in the car and gave good advice on how best to store and transport it.
They also helped by ordering a charging dock for me at a reasonable price to be able to charge it more conveniently at home.
Throughout the whole process I felt like I was in knowledgeable hands and that the staff really wanted to help me achieve my goals, not just make a sale.
Nigel and Steve were so helpful, I’d highly recommend their Bournemouth branch to anyone looking for mobility aids to help them.
