Our Lidl Store changed dramatically since it opening in McLean Virginia. It used to be well organized store with same location of common items. I used to love this store.Now it looks likes an abandoned refugee store with no possibility to find stuff. I am not happy with this place anymore.

I really like my Lidl store - especially for bakery, flowers, gold brick of coffee, and other products. However, I was very disappointed in their bleach. I used an entire cup in my washing load (top load washer, hot water) and still almost no stains came out of my whites. It's back to Clorox for me where I need only 1/4 cup to clear out all stains. I haven't been satisfied with several of their cleaning products, so I'll stick to the food and other non-food items.

SUMI the cashier!!! Bayonne lidl is always a good experience HOWEVER the cashier SUMI is literally the nicest best I have ever encounter . I’m 56 years old and shopping a LONG time and this woman was so helpful knowledgeable and NICE. I’ll go only here now because of her. She should be praised
When asking for help from an associate
When asking for help from an associate, he was very rude and disrespectful. Ton of voice was very unprofessional when asking for help at the self check out then needed more help at the self check out and assistant manager came over and I told him his associates were very rude. He could care less and just walk away and ignored me Cashier that was cash register asked her for help and she replied very rudely. I already asked for help will not be going to this location again military Highway.

Lidl in Norristown Pennsylvania. I had to call 911 due to aggressive and inappropriate staff. I was attacked by a store security guard for no reason, it seemed to her that I was photographing a shelf with vegetables, she didn’t listen to anything, screamed and insulted me, threw me out into the street, forbidding me to take the basket, and threatened me. She screamed at me - get out and never come into this store again, this is private property and I do what I want here, she screamed when I said that I would call the police, this only made her even more furious, and she said that she was the owner here and nothing She’s not afraid, she does whatever she wants and I can’t do anything with her. She even followed me on the street outside the store door. I had to call the police, file a report and enter the store to get my things and basket, accompanied by the police. Now I'm afraid to approach this store. Although before that I had been a regular customer of the Lidl chain for 20 years back in Europe and was glad that they opened in the USA! I have a membership and a client application on my phone! On a Sunday morning, while shopping in front of numerous buyers, it was a shock to encounter such a show. But you will be surprised when you won’t find options and addresses on the website, in the app or anywhere else where to file a complaint in such cases! The network does not provide measures against the arbitrariness of staff and the protection of customers from insane store employees. I'm going to sue them with a police report and contact the consumer protection society. I am 53 years old and this was the first time I encountered such an attitude in a store and was completely shocked, I had a panic attack after that. People write about products and prices, service, but here we are simply talking about the physical safety of customers in this store, when you are calm and polite, buying groceries on Sunday morning in a good mood, and you come across this from the staff called upon to provide service, it’s a shock..

Lidl soaks their padding that is used on the bottom of their meats with lots of water. I purchased a package of chicken wings. The pad weighted in at over 9 oz.
Basically I'm paying for water and discarded packaging.
Store Layout and cashiers - Greensboro NC
Store opened in 2023 and the layout does not allow for:
1) bread slicer in bakery department
2) packing area along exit wall past cashiers for customers to place groceries in bags to load into cars.
Critical for the flow from cashier to exiting store.
Cashier area - although there are 3-4 cashier stations, have only seen one open at a time. Is this due to lack of staff in store during open hours? The area for groceries scanned by cashier is small and split in two to allow the first customer’s items to sit for packing while scanning the second customer’s items. This causes a backlog especially when the first customer’s items fill up both packing areas. A) Issue was on 3/28 when woman had so many items that filled both areas and my order had no room to be placed. I helped the woman but she was not finished by the time my order was scanned and paid. My husband was packing our order and then comes third person with groceries. Very confusing as items bunched up and items packing into wrong customer. Can a packing shelf be built like at other stores and have more than one cashier open.
B) 4/4/2024 - issue was change to self serve for credit card and cashier serve for cash only. We finished shopping and went to cashier lines for checkout. Was told that process changed (cashier was not happy) and said self service for CC and will open cashier line for cash only. Terrible surprise and awful inconvenience for customer with full basket of items shopping for the family (fruits, vegetables and bread requiring manual lookup or barcode in 2 font and barely visible) when trying to get home and feed family. Customer is not paid to be a cashier or receive a discount. That should be customer choice. Not an option and proceeded to self check out. Area is small and could not figure how to scan rewards card. Called cashier over who also did not know and I had to type in phone number. I have three phone numbers and had to try again. Looked up naval orange and not in chart so found the tiny barcode. Help was not by self checkout because checking out those paying cash. The store has now lost me as a customer because it took 30 minutes for me to check out vs five minutes with cashier. I understand the no frills and bring your own bag and pack. What is the thinking behind penalizing those with credit cards having to check themselves out? Do the cashier machines not accept credit cards now since most people use cards these days. I did find out afterwards that the cashier would also handle debit cards. Will additional staff be hired and the cashiers available for credit cards? Poor experience for this location. I love the products and the brand that has become my weekly stop. Two simple changes would make a difference for customers - packing shelves and live cashier. Thanks and would appreciate a response
Carts are not allowed to use to carry the items to the garage
I was at Lidl Columbia Hights DC. Surprisingly, they started prohibiting customers to take the cart to the garage. How do you expect customers carry 2 packs of 40 or 25 bottles of water without cart?? Can anyone help me understand this??? They told me it is the corporate decision.

I received a pair of long insulated underwear pants that had no fly. The pants are worn under many layers of clothing in COLD weather. I had difficulty for obvious reasons trying to find the fly in "emergency" conditions.
I thought the very least Lidl's could do was apologise and also I thought the President of Lidl's, a Yale graduate, (Joel Rampoldt, President) would have been raised with the knowledge of proper ettiquette to respond to something like this. It is also pretty wong in business to let a $8.00 item turn into customer loss and this review. The date of this experience is today because this is no longer about the flyless insulted underwear. It is about corporate manners.

Bad quality and merchandise high prices more than other grocery stores very few items that are on sale. And they do not give you your money back even though I hadn't left the building they are against policies the law is you can return your items and they could not do it I'm going to call consumer affairs now
False advertisement
Advertised special for Smithfield Pork Tenderloin this week was for $1.79 per pound. Went to store to purchase and they said it was for the pork loin at $1.79. I showed them the circular that shows exactly what it was and they will not honor it. I called customer service telling them that this was false advertisement!
We went the distance to buy for my elderly mother and this is what they tell me. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Just Made my last trip to Lidl too much of a Hassle
just made my last trip ever to Lidl tired of the prices always wrong and ignorant customer service. Overall they have just went nuts on price increases doubling just about everything.They raised prices like they are a niche store instead of a low end food store.My candy was .99 raised it to 2.50 .bread is always 30 cents more than Aldi's unless you are buying their lousy white bread. They always leave up last week discount stickers and then not give you the price.Just a freakin hassle who needs it !
Short-weighting of S Farms FP chicken wings
I had an experience of short-weighting in chicken wings(CW) (net weight labeled 4+ LB but actually <3 LB). Since this was found out not right away in store but after I got home, so I took no action, just kept it in mind.
Today again I bought two packs of CW at this Lidl (15E Podonia rd MD 21093). After checking out, I told the store manager my story and asked if I can unwrap the CW and weight CW at the checkout scale, the manager had a long face and said NO, b/c the WC was not weighted & packed here in the store. So I used the scale inside the store, it weighed 7.8 LB, but labeled net weight 8.69 LB. see uploaded pics. What was worse the manager locked her in a room and didn’t want to see me again. What such a bad day in Lidl!!!

Waste of time and gas, went to buy scallops, was informed by employee, didn't get shipped and then she just walked away, why advertised an item if you can't deliver.

customer service is useless. there is no way to find out if an item is in stock, and there is no way to call a store to find out. what's most frustrating is that on their website everything is in stock, that is until you arrive at the store to find out that it is actually out of stock
