Asked for hindi interpreter, was advised one is available. Advised my customer i would call back within 5-10 minutes and no interpreter was assigned to me. I gave up holding after 20 minutes and translator service was not able to be used. Had to call my customer back and attempt to advise that we cannot provide a service that we offer as language line had not provided interpreter as per their obligation. Very poor wait times

Diane Ormerod, OPI Admin and Compliance Coordinator is out of order. I have been doing endless hours for this company and she is intending to deactivate my profile for no good reason.

I have been working for the top 5 interpreting firms since 2015 with no issues whatsoever.

Modern slavery, super small pay. My mental health is totally shattered by this company, and of course, they outsource almost all of their interpreters to pay them even less than whatever they get paid in the US. Absolutely zero support, rude clients and QA that literally says we are just robots, firing everyone as soon as they make a minor mistake.

trash company reimburse interpreter 40 cents per mile in year of 2025 can you believe that? be a ubereat drive is more worth of the time

I'm an interpreter with more than 20 years experience, a MA and a certification and I was just offered $35/h for interpreting an exotic language!!! I wasn't making that little when I started my career! This is total disrespect. Plus for the past 3 years they keep sending me job requests and NEVER once got back with me after I replied!
I would never recommend such a company, horrible business practices, stay away!!!

The worst place to work, they ask for you to do all kind of preparation and get all this equipment, they make you study and prepare for the job. You give all your best effort to be a great interpreter. In my experience my mentor told me I was meeting expectations as an interpreter and also in customer service and literally the next day I got terminated because of low call demand. So they don't care how good you work or how much effort you make to do an excellent job. And they don't need a reason to fire you. If they have to they will fire you no matter what. So just take the job to have the experience and the training not as a serious career because they simply do not care about employees. Is kind of messed up because they ask so much and we spend time, money and make sacrifices for literally nothing. So I hope AI takes their jobs. Cheers.

Terrible customer service. Service reps are extremely rude and have limited knowledge on how to navigate their own services. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I worked for this company for a year, it is the worst company to work for. Unskilled management and very rude, focused on profit and they pay minimum to the interpreters

As a previous interpreter, I was bullied and abused both morally and financially. For low pay, I never refused any job. Despite that one malicious, stupid patient reported me without any explanation. Then I was suspended for no reason for no explanation after 10 years of service as an award winner. This kind of incompetent evil should pay the price

The way they handle their recruitment process says exactly who they are as a company, another low quality and low value chicken coop, that’s what their administration group is. People are no longer caring for undesirable places like this, if anything, it pushes them even more to find their real purpose in life and follow their dreams, these corporations are evil and will suck your soul and energy dry. Not worth it and I hope the downfall of these corporations happens at the speed of light, it’s already a fact that they will. The whole system is trash because of the people operating them.

Terrible service. Been trying to reach someone for MONTHS and they never reply to emails. I try to contact on the phone and they hang up when you ask anything they dont want to do. Like I asks for a list of costs by language. Hang up. Try again-oh we cant find your account. I have been with them 8 years. I expect better.

I was very disappointed, that after the language skills assessment no one was back in touch with me. I sent an email to the OPI recruiter and still not received a reply.

It is a company which pockets £90 out of every £100 charged to their customer; the interpreter gets hardly £14.40 per hour; since the customer pays around £250 per hour, you can see that the interpreter acts as just a SLAVE to the business, no more, no less. Disgusting business model, helping the modern/contractual slavery to grow.No spine here, at all. Avoid!

I am a current employee at the company, and it has change me in every way, it has made me more respectful, responsible, puntual and inteligent. Many clients always congratulate me saying "wow..you are fast", "your Spanish is on point", "you know all the medical terms", etc. I HAVE NO WORDS THAT CAN TRULLY EXPRESS HOW THANKFULL I AM FOR LANGUAGE LINE SOLUTIONS.

This is a horrible company. They are scamming clients with ridiculous amount. Their training is a joke. Interpreters go for two weeks of training and after that they are on their own; interpreters need to figure out. This company love to harass its own employees. It’s ongoing problem and nothing has been fixed.

So wrong in every level,they hand pick from about 70 people in 3 weeks class " training" which are 90 percent videos,very little coaching and they want you to be " perfect" by their standards. And what's interesting is the pay is 15 dollars,isn't McDonald's paying that for cashier's? Also they hire you by 3 party,to quickly disregard you,saying you didn't pass the "test"that they consider to be a test, basically videos that you hear everyday and repeat over and over...so silly on every level,and so unprofessional on how they handle everything,or lack of handling, can't wait till A.I replaces everything, especially companies like this that want to take advantage of people,train to hire,and only hand pick what they consider " an interpreter" such lack of transparency and honesty,if you don't have prior experience of interpretation or a dictionary vocabulary,don't even waste your time, absolutely unrealistic on their part.I wasted 3 weeks of my time,if you pan to leave your current position for this,you should reconsider

My past customer keeps calling me asking me to somehow get Language Line to give me back to them as a translator as since my agency was outbid by this joke of a company, they have been getting horrible service or no service at all from them. (Like someone coming with no knowledge of the language or someone not showing up for an appointment at all)

I knew they were known in the industry for not paying translators well and undercutting the industry standards, but I took pity on the guys and went and submitted my info to this company. I immediately started getting tons of assignments, except that they were all for other cities, not where I live. I tried to reach them several times to no avail. Not only this company essentially is insurance fraud as they get insurance money but don't deliver the service promised, but they are also EXTREMELY disorganized. It's a scam, in my opinion.

Very rude and poor attitude, highly disrespectful and unprofessional. Inaccurate feedback and poor service.
