Not suitable for all soil types
I hate doing this and never leave negative reviews, but this tool is completely useless for heavier soil types. Unfortunately I live in a clay soil area and the tines become blocked after two depressions into the soil. They are then extremely hard to clean out.
I think there should be more of a detailed description of what soil types this tool is suitable for.
It's a shame as the tool seems fairly well made and is a good price, but unfortunately I can't use this tool in my area. It has been a total waste of money.

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We're sorry to hear that the Lawn Aerator has not performed as you had hoped. We appreciate how frustrating it can be when a tool doesn't deliver the results you're expecting, particularly when you've invested both time and money into improving your lawn.
Soil conditions can vary considerably from garden to garden, and we'd welcome the opportunity to learn more about your lawn and offer any advice we can. Our customer service team is always happy to discuss both product use and general lawn care recommendations, so please do get in touch with us directly.

Ladies leather gardening gloves
This was a present for a relative. She was absolutely thrilled with the gloves. She has used them already for picking up prickly cuttings, rose cuttings and hedge cuttings etc and jobs around the garden and said they are fantastic and such good quality. I would certainly buy these gloves again either for a present or myself.

Not impressed
I had great hopes for this but for two reasons, I am not impressed hence two stars.
1. The wooden shaft is secured with two rivets to the steel socket. When pressing down into the turf and moving the aerator around in a circular motion before pulling the tines out, the stock noticeably wobbles in the socket. This does not seem a viable or solid fixing.
2. There is no point in trying to use the aerator on anything but a wet lawn after plenty of rain. If dry, as I found out, the tines go no further than half an inch no matter how hard I step on the steel bar. Added to that, trying to remove the plugs from the hollow tines required a screwdriver and hammer.
Not impressed.

Vastaus yritykseltä Kent & Stowe
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience with the aerator has been disappointing.
Lawn aerators are designed to work most effectively on damp soil, and this is the condition our Customer Service team would typically recommend before use. When used in suitable ground conditions, soil plugs should generally clear through continued use as new plugs pass through the tines.
We were concerned to read your comments regarding the movement in the handle and would welcome the opportunity to understand this in more detail. Please contact our Customer Service team at customerservice@kentandstowe.com and we can look into this further with you.
We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
