John Clark Motor Group - John Clark Volvo Aberdeen Arvostelua 

Service was faultless up until sale of the vehicle. From then, it has been difficult to seek clarity on a few things and I am still currently waiting to hear about a problem with the car. I feel i should not have to keep chasing the manager for a response.

Salesman Adam Carey was brilliant; very helpful and friendly, liked his banter as was manager Stuart Morrow who incidentally we bought our previous Volvo from when he was at Arnold Clark. Only disappointment was Volvo wouldn’t release the car when agreed as it was a showroom car, nothing to do with the dealership but worth waiting for.

I dealt with Adam at Aberdeen from the start of the process and he was fantastic - always engaging, responded quickly to emails and made everything available easily, he always got back to me within a day and sent videos of the car pre purchase both for me to see and also to show the condition once ready to collect.
I then collected the car from Stuart / Stewart in Edinburgh and the experience was exactly what you want it to be for buying and part time exchanging a car. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door by the girl on reception, the lounge was lovely, Stuart / Stewart then showed me everything on the car. It was in immaculate condition and totally perfect. The process was so easy to swap keys, do the paperwork and get going and they offered to send videos after if I got stuck on anything after leaving.
They also checked in the following day to make sure everything was ok.
Would definitely buy from them again! Superb!

Waited 7 weeks to get Polestar booked in for Manufacturing Fault Diagnosis because I requested a courtesy car, but when I arrived I was advised no courtesy car was available because it was left with a previous customer. When I asked to rebook, I was advised it would be another 6 weeks.
I asked how long the Diagnosis would take, was advised around 1 hour. Returned after 1hr 45mins to be told it has not been on the ramp yet.
Now been waiting for 3.5hrs and have been told it will be longer than another 30mins, but couldn't tell me how much longer.
Total waste of my time for what I am advised is a common Polestar problem.

Last week I had a couple of extras fitted to my XC90 which were ordered with the new car, but arrived a month or so later than the car - no problem. I noticed over the weekend that the interior had a few marks of a workshop kind. This morning I returned to the dealership and asked for Maggie, the service lady whom I dealt with last week. She immediately took ownership of the situation ( clearly not her problem ) and arranged for the marks to be removed and my car washed whilst I had a coffee in the showroom. Result - turned a disappointing experience into a positive one for me, at the same time saving the face of her workshop colleagues and John Clark Volvo.

Worked hard to get us a good deal and make handover as smooth as possible.

My contact with John Clark Volvo has been one of bitter disappointment and profound frustration.

Since 2024, an intermittent fault in the “assistance at risk collision system” has caused the loss of cruise control and collision avoidance assistance lasting from minutes to hours every time I drive my 2021 V90.
The company’s attempts to repair the fault have been futile despite five visits to their Aberdeen branch. After all such visits the fault recurred. For this reason and the two other faults that occurred in a car under three years old that the company did eventually repair, this car has spent a month off the road.
I am incensed that despite having bought a Volvo and using its main dealer, I still have a car that, worryingly, does not consistently provide the standard of safety and convenience expected from a Volvo. I conclude that John Clark Volvo may lack the competence to repair this vehicle.
My recent experience is all the more disappointing because of the great service previously received from John Clark Motorrad in Dundee.
I hope the above will serve as a warning to other customers of John Clark Volvo.
And one final point, is that I have better things to be doing than wasting an hour of my life driving the car to and from Balmoral Business Park for yet another failed repair.
To John Clark’s credit, they have been in touch about this problem with an offer to review it once more. I did not expect such a timely and helpful response. Thank you. May be things are looking up and I won’t have to leave Volvo.

Everyone we dealt with at Volvo Aberdeen was extremely friendly, helpful and approachable. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that there was not 100% knowledge on the vehicle I was purchasing and I had to learn a lot via google.

The choosing and purchasing experience was made effortless due to familiarity of the sales staff with the options available to customers. The functions and accessories of the car were professionally described at the handover.
