IMO Car Wash - Chelmsford Arvostelua 43

Man at the entrance to the automated bit told me how to take off my automatic braking, and despite being the only customer I felt really under pressure to rush - with all the hand gestures and no eye contact/smile, and staff not speaking English confidently.

It would be helpful to have basic instructions in a clear and easy to read poster way ahead of the point of feeling pressured at the jetwash before the conveyor belt. I have been twice now and there's no QR code to log in and pay, until you are seconds from being swarmed on. This makes it stressful. I have learnt to have the app and prepay from home now, but people who have never been before end up holding up the queue whilst panicking about paying.

The wash was only ok. There are still lots of water marks all down the drivers side. It will do though.

Pretty disappointed. Use them occasionally when I have a car wash. This time I had a lot of bird mess on my car, which I pointed out. The jet has caused damage to my window seal, and didn't get the bird mess off, and water also came in the car as the jet wash was just aimed at the seal. Pretty disappointing for a tenner.

My car was dirty. Paid for the Ceramic XTR.

They had only just opened and the pre wash with the soapy suds on the windows and wheels was good.

When in the automatic wash the smell was awful or sulphur / rotten eggs.

After the wash wax and dry I had to re wash all my windows as they were water stained and marked.

The low level trims around the perimeter of the car were also dirty and had to be washed.

I have been a regular user of IMO car wash over the years but unfortunately this experience was disappointing.

Quick service, car is very clean!

The chap failed to clean the wheels and when advised he said I would have to pay again!

Unfortunately, the quality of the wash has decreased substantially over the last few years. Hard water marks and dirt are left after pretty much every wash. Most of the staff seem to be very unhappy to be there. This used to be the best car wash.
Some chemicals also react with dark metal trim and leave a "rainbow" effect, which seems to be impossible to get rid of.

Wash quality gets worse every time I go here

The air blower was working properly just stayed high not moving along car so didn't car. Wheel hubs still dirty. Staff must of been aware but didn't say anything

Normally the service is great!
But went Saturday and I paid for the top wash and more for a mini valet, expecting it to be better than what I normally get as I paid for a upgrade this time, however the car wash didn’t clean the car that well and on the mini valet - they missed all the cup holders and didn’t clean them and the side pockets in car, plus the boot was not hoovered out very well.

Good just that machine doesnt dry well

If I could give zero stars I would. One of them stole my bank card out of my car and tried to use it at a shop round the corner. Have told absolutely everyone to not go here and not trust them.

The windows were not clean and the wing mirrors had spots on as well. Disappointing for £13.

I always use the car wash in Southend on sea and the staff do a great job. I used the one in Chelmsford, same option for rain guard, but the staff didn’t spray my car or wipe the windows before sending me into the machine. They always do this before in Southend. My car was still dirty especially my panoramic roof after coming out the machine as were my wheels. What a waste of £13

Car wash was still not working properly with the dryer stuck in it's highest position. No effort was put into the hand prewash. I have complained directly to IMO as the staff stbthe carwash were not interested. No response however from IMO

Water marks over car following a 30 pounds valet. Terrible. I don’t think the car was hand waxed at all.

Very good just very busy.

The car was still wet after exiting the premises. Also, the hand washing part was in name only. Could have done a better job at removing the dirt.
