Lots of information on website. Decided on the big one, only two of us but lots of veg and fruit peelings, also a big garden for grass cuttings and twigs. Ordering and delivery were faultless.

Only problem was the instruction booklet that came with it - it looked like it had got wet and the pages were all stuck together. When I emailed I was originally sent a new one as an attachment in an email but asked if I could also have one posted as I don't have a printed. They were very obliging

There was an issue in that I did not initally receive a spare part I ordered. Once Hotbin became aware they ensured the part was sent which I received within two days. I have my Hotbin over 5 years now and look forward to many more years of compost making.

Make sure you buy correct size
We bought the large Hotbin and were really looking forward to our new venture , however when it was delivered we very quickly realized it was too big. Our mistake.
My husband contacted the company to request an uplift and to order the smaller bin . We asked if we could receive a discount but we were advised , strongly , there would be no discount. We were out of pocket by £50,. Ok , as I said it was our mistake but a bit of come and go on the loss would have been negotiated. Nope ,nothing , zilch , hee ho , zero. We still ordered the smaller bin . If someone bought the larger one by mistake in a store and returned it they would have received the 50 back. Very disappointed in this customer service.

Thank you for sharing your experience. We’re sorry that the original HOTBIN was too large for your needs and understand how disappointing the additional return and collection cost must have felt.
Because HOTBINs are large items, arranging their collection and return incurs costs that we’re unfortunately unable to absorb. However, we’re sorry if this was communicated too firmly or without enough explanation. We’ll share your feedback with our customer service team.
We appreciate you choosing to order the smaller HOTBIN and hope it proves to be the right fit for you. We reached out via email on 01/09 for some further feedback if that's ok.
