Needed some tools for my house renos and purchased from these guys. Very impressed with service - one package was damaged by the courier. Customer service was very helpful and organised to pick up the damaged one and send me a new one straight away! The other one arrived with no issues and I received regular tracking updates. Will be going back to them again.

Avoid HOD Health at all costs. They are happy to take your money but do not send the items you paid for, and then take weeks to issue a refund. This behaviour shows a complete lack of professionalism and respect for customers. I will not be purchasing from them again and strongly recommend that others stay away and choose a more reliable company instead.

Poor customer service, excessively long shipping times

You are wasting your money and effort dealing with these fake guys! Extremely poor customer service, rude and they refuse to confirm delivery timeframes unless you’re expected to pay extra.

Worst customer service and delivery!!! When following up about order delivery delays they kept changing the delivery timframe (from 5-10 days to 5-15 days then 3-20 days) instead of acknowledging that the order has been delayed and apologising. Customer service also made inappropriate comments about order details. DO NOT SHOP HERE.

Health and Home NZ (HOD) has been an extremely disappointing experience. The product photos are misleading and what arrives is not what is advertised. However the main issue was shipping it took way over two weeks with very little communication.
When I contacted customer service about the delay, I received a very abrupt response that made it clear they were not interested in helping.
Unfortunately, I also realised I had purchased another HOD product through Mighty Ape without knowing it was the same company — and that order is delayed as well, while other orders placed afterwards that I selected standard shipping for had already arrived.
Overall, this has been a waste of time and money, and I would not recommend buying from HOD.

As for HOD’s response it only further highlights the poor level of customer service. Firstly, I did not purchase a dress — the order was incorrect to begin with.
Secondly, your response was highly unprofessional. The issue raised was about delivery delays, yet instead of addressing that properly, you chose to publicly discuss a customer’s order details and the amount they spent. Why is the price relevant?
Are you implying that because a customer selected a cheaper shipping option or did not spend over a certain amount they deserve poor service or excessive delays? Because that is exactly how your response comes across.
Bringing up a customer’s spending in an attempt to justify inadequate service is inappropriate and reflects very poorly on your business. Every customer deserves respect and reasonable service regardless of how much they spend.
For reference, I spent more than the customer you mentioned and still received the exact same treatment, which only proves my original point.

DON’T SHOP WITH HODS! Health and Home Worst service, delivery time is horrendous the staff are petty and rude if you select the standard delivery time you are not a priority and the standard delivery time is longer than any other website I’ve shopped from so according to HODs because you haven’t paid more, the delayed delivery time is your fault don’t bother buying from them.

Ordered a fireplace tool set for my new place. Impressed with the fast delivery and with the regular updates on tracking. Thanks guys!

Looks like its an ecommerce store, dont think they have stock in hand to ship it. I have ordered an item, it has been 2 weeks and I still haven’t received anything and no communication either. The tracking number doesn’t work too.

Second experience with this store as I wanted to purchase a matching chair for my existing outdoor furniture. Impressed with customer service when I asked for help to find a match, and it arrived faster than expected.

Bought a nice pair of sunglasses as a gift, it arrived when expected and very happy with the sunglasses

Bought bunk beds for my kids, happy with delivery time, just it was missing a couple of screws. It was sorted out after I showed them photos and they sent me some spare screws. Happy kids now. Thanks team.

Love my new haynet! Impressed with the customer service and how they gave updates of where my product was at.

Very impressed with the service. My package was lost in transit and they offered me a refund or replacement. My replacement arrived with no issues. Would buy from them again as they were helpful with great communication. Cheers guys

Ensure you look up the return policy. Horrendous customer service who will ask you to open items for the purpose “to check they are in working order” but in actual fact it is to void any possibility of return if change of mind according to their very ridiculous returns policy (need to pay 20% of item price if you wish to return an item) and untruthful delivery times. Conniving and would not recommend as awful customer experience.

The item was not delivered to me, after multiple updated delivery times from the delivery company. Never received my item. No communication from the company. I am trying to get a refund.

Firstly, I work from! I am home ALL day. Your item was supposed to be delivered to me in November, early December........NOT on Christmas day hahaha!! And, I requested a refund - not a change of address. I requested the refund, because I could not wait for your package (also didn't know if it would even arrive!!). So I had to buy another fan. Do you understand? You put me out. And still did not heed my request. Yes, I did finally receive your item. I now have 2 fans. Yay. Thanks for that.
