All your queries will be handled by a human being, and our 40 sales staff are all experienced musicians, with an unrivalled combined expertise on all kinds of musical instruments and styles. We stock the most widely varied range of instruments and accessories available on the high street, from guitars and amps to folk and traditional instruments from all over the world. We stock new and secondhand musical instruments. If you have a used musical instrument to sell, contact us to find out how we can help - we often buy used instruments for cash, or we can sell it on your behalf. Highly recommended

Highly recommended! Excellent service and value for money. The Hobgoblin team were very helpful information to help me decide on my mandolin purchase.

1922 A4 Gibson mandolin

Messaged them to inquire about further details of a vintage 1922 A4 Gibson mandolin they had on their website. The reply said they were selling it for a customer and their representative considered the frets were worn, and he thought it could do with a refret. I responded asking for some photos of the frets, that was two weeks ago and has been totally ignored.

What a service, I hate to think what the customer would make of it, who has trusted them to "sell" it for him/her.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I've checked with the branch in question, and they have found the reply that was supposed to be sent to you still pending unsent in drafts. We are very sorry for this oversight - the email has now been sent, with our apologies. I've checked the date on the photo in the email you've hopefully recieved today, and it was taken on 12th March. I am not sure why the email did not send.

Hopefully a quick scan of our other reviews here and the reviews specifically of the branch in question on other well known sites will confirm to you that we always aim to offer the best possible customer service, and to put things right if they have gone wrong.

Perfectly Positive

Perfectly Positive - Though I never needed to query Hobgoblin (the product info was thorough; shipping data clear), they made sure to communicate with me throughout the wait until my package arrived. The product is perfect and just what I'd hoped for. I would definitely consider future purchases from Hobgoblin.

Ukulele strap

The ukulele strap was competitively priced and came complete with an attachment button. Good quality materials and exactly as pictured and described. I placed the order before noon and received the next day. I don't know if this is the norm but it was very impressive.

Overseas purchase of Spanish Guitar

Absolutely outstanding! Mine was a trans-Atlantic purchase. We had previously bought instruments at Hobgoblin in person over the decades and knew them to be excellent! Wonderful, friendly expert recommendations by email and on phone on a used guitar. And extremely timely easy delivery here, super packaging, even faster than had been expected. Cannot say enough good things! A beautiful instrument. And stellar staff!
