Needed to exchange car it was no problem

Very nice and helpful staff members! It was super easy, clean car and total flexible with extensions etc.

Awful. The car wasnt even 100% clean from the outside. Not going to Hertz ever again.

A Hertz maintenance person noticed one of our taillights was out as we backed out of the garage space. We went back to the rental counter, where were were promptly given a different vehicle of the same model, at the same price. My only complaint is that the Bay Area Fastrak website (to which the rental agent directed us) was confusing to navigate, and it was a hassle to set up an account just to pay a bridge toll; Fastrak ended up sending me a transponder to my home in Massachusetts, which I had to mail back at a cost of $9, making me question the cost-effectiveness of opening an account.

Car was in good shape, albeit the upholstery was a little dirty. Rating as a 3 mainly due to problems with the Hertz app and website erroring out when I tried to change the pickup time and the return location. It was a one-way rental, so maybe that complicated the transaction.

Awesome customer service

My pick up experience was not great. Was unable to pick up the right vehicle at the promised time. We managed to make it work. My return experience was much better and the staff and manager were trying to make things right. A good indication on customer service.

Great experience at this location, no issues with return and appreciate the quick receipt via email. Thank you to the staff here; it is much better run than some other Hertz locations on the east coast

Quick and easy, picking up and dropping off. Everyone was polite. Really couldn’t ask for anything more.

It was good, but the clerk was dull?

Easy and smooth process to pick up and drop off.

I rented a large SUV for 8 days and when exiting down the exit ramp from the 3rd floor I scraped the rear drivers side of the car. I immediately freaked out and sought the attention of another car company's staff
about what just happened. I also had people waiting for me at my home. I decided to continue on and deal with this when I returned car. It was on my mind the whole week and and I finally read my confirmation from Hertz and forgot I got insurance
still I was unsure what would happen. When I returned car Hertz staff named Rob and Kevin were so incredibly helpful , Hertz has some very well staff who walked me through this and file a report. I want to give a shout out for ROB and KEVIN at Hertz Mason Street in San Francisco and thank them both for all their professional and can do attitude that makes Hertz the best in customer service.

Counter staffs were kind and knows what to do in any situation.

The desk staff were helpful friendly and attentive. The car was in good condition. Garage was very confusing and lacked appropriate signs and support. Pickup and drop off attendants were unhelpful and obviously not interested in supporting customers.

I found the place at 950 mason, only one attendant and a line of 6 person in front of me. needed to pick my car by 2 pm and ended leaving the counter at 2:34pm
If they new there were a lot of visitors , the Hertz office should added 2-3 persons for the occasion, one is there , the next attendant comes and the other person that is working with the clients leaves leaving the counter still one person
