I had reserved a Tesla
I had reserved a Tesla, but the location in Manhattan didn't have one, so they upgraded me to a Subaru Crosstrek instead: what a car! The CarPlay was flawless (we were doing an 8 day trip to the Finger lakes, Montreal then back down through Lake George) ... it literally sipped gas (I drove from the border of Canada to NYC on 3/4 tank!!) it was fast and very comfortable. BEST PART? Tesla was offered at a reduced price ($40/day) ... do they gave me the Crosstrek for that. 8 days - ~$350. Amazing! I've been a Hertz customer for years ... they are the best.

I waited and hour and twenty minutes…
I waited and hour and twenty minutes to pick up my car. And I had a confirmed reservation. There was only one attendant processing customers - early on a Monday morning of a holiday week. ????
Sadly, this is last time I will rent from this Hertz location. It's close by, but the delays (this was not the first) are too much.

Joanne at 83rd st saved the day for us!!! I was terribly late picking up our rental car and she did everything in her power to still get us on the road in time to pick up kids from summer camp in New Jersey. She was kind, compassionate, and allowed me to think through options unpressured. Joanne was amazing!

Delayed Pickup, Disappointing Start
The rental experience fell short of expectations. Although the car was scheduled for an 8:00 am pickup, it wasn’t available until 10:30 am, causing an unnecessary delay and inconvenience.

Hertz (in person) is consistent and postive
I have had consistent and positive experience with the car rentals and in person help when renting. I only wish the phone support, online support and chat support was more helpful. Any issues I've ever had have either gotten worse through the chat process or greatly limited though the lack of real person phone support.
