The business for which the gyft card was for closed and Gyft refuses to do something about getting the money back or moved to a different business. They just don't seem to care.

After loading $90 CAD on an existing gift card, I go to use it at the restaurant and it comes back invalid. When I try to download the Gyft app it says not available in Canada. There support doesn't have an option for resolving gift card issues, so I now realize I've been SCAMMED.

Maybe the worst app ever invented at least for receiving a gift certificate. (1) who needs another app! Especially to receive a gift. So I down load the app; get the certificate that has a QR code for the restaurant. So then the restaurant has to TAKE MY PHONE somewhere to scan the QR code. So there goes my phone, completely unlocked, to who knows where and handled by how many people? Let’s think about information bring stolen or viewed? And how about germs?
Totally ridiculous. I deleted the app and told my giver to NEVER, EVER use that again!

DO NOT USE! If there is a problem/error on their part, it appears they have no way to fix it. Word of caution to all potential customers, buyer beware! I share the same experience as Jack on February 21, 2024 except I was the purchaser of a gift card for my daughter.

I was given a Gyft card by someone else as a gift. When I try to redeem it online, they system automatically logs me off. This is on both my PC and my iPhone so it's not an issue with my device. When I reach out to customer service, they reply asking for screenshots, asking questions not directly relevant to my situation, and sending me a password reset. I asked them how a password reset can help with this situation and I've yet to hear from them. I get the impression that their customer service is only intended to look like they're acting in good faith and is actually meant to make frustrate customers until they go away. If this is true then Gyft would be committing fraud.

Ordered 5 gifts prior to Christmas Holidays. All stated an estimated delivery well before Christmas. No communication received. After weeks, finally received email, stating one item shipped. Mind you no delivery date mentioned. Finally received tracking information from DHL, item estimated deliver 12/26/23.

Still no information or shipping information on the rest of my order. Sent email to customer service, no response. Requested PalPay for a full refund.

This company fails miserably in their promises...STAY AWAY FROM THEM.

Gyft hates the education community. I followed their steps to upload my xls (Excel) file in the template provided. Only to find out later that it did not process ANY of the Gift cards due to the email addresses with the ending .edu. This was a $22,000 expenditure which they failed to process. Further, they failed to notify me that it had not been processed.

Every one of the 700+ emails had to be manually resent which required three clicks: resend, update, confirm. That was 2,100 + clicks and 2 hours of my life for something that should have been done automatically.

I hate this platform more than they hate educators and students.

I was awarded $100 to use on GYFT. You have to download their app to access your account. The app is a ridiculous, over-complicated mess. They want you purchase gift cards from their selection of merchants. The list of outright,stupid hoops you have to jump through are too long to list!
I have spent hours chasing my tail just trying to access the $100 due to me. Slowly, over a year, I have used $75 of it. I bought a $25 gyft card on 2/8/23. The email receipt, gives an order number as confirmation, but you can NOT reference the number on the app to find your card. Now it says "no history" and "no transactions" and when trying to get help, it says Gyft.com is not supported protocol. 🙄 My takeaway is this, they dangle (your money) like a carrot, but convolute and scramble the process to make it impossible to access your account/money, while providing access to third party vendors who are probably sucking your personal information like a juice box. 100% AVOID GYFT IF YOU ENJOY YOUR SANITY.

The worst. Had received a gift card for a favorite restaurant. Went to use a second time on the app and the balance was zero. There was actually $72 left. Called to get help and could not understand lady on the other end. She offered no help at all. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that person was in a meeting. Useless.

Terrible service, Ordered a gift card online, payment was immediately taken from my account. Waited, three days later i logged into my account only to find the card in a pending status. I called customer service and the women i spoke with corrected the issue and said the card was ready to use. i sent the card to my daughter for her birthday. today she sends me a screen shot sowing that the card has been canceled and refunded. i called customer service again only to get the run around so now i can expect an email from customer service in the next 24 to 48 hours. The funds are supposed to be back in my account in 3 - 5 business days... More to come!!

Terrible product. Redeemed company Rewards points for a Walmart egift card. Never received codes , no code in order history but does show the card was ordered.
Noticed a lot of reviews online with cards never received, SCAM!!!

Atrocious company, an utter failure.

Why do corporations still use Gyft to issue rewards?

Worst experience in my life, first time I bought a Cabelas card and Cabelas said is was fraudulent and the $100 disappeared , customer service tells you to wait 48 hrs for reply from them, right 4 days later still nothing, when I complained online about problem they told me a phone number I’ve had for 22 years is not valid , so no service, don’t use this app, you’ll be embarrassed when you give it to someone and they tell you it ripped them off, customer service is a joke at Gyft company, probably a 9 year old kid running the place. I received a virtual gift card for a local business. The person who gave me the gift has bank records that show he paid the local business, but in fact, the money apparently went to Clover. Clover cannot be redeemed through a QR code so that same money was then turfed to Gyft. I was forced to download the GYFT app on my iPhone in order to redeem. HOWEVER, although it shows up online on the Mac app, that same gift card is not on the iPhone version of the Gyft app. I cannot carry my Mac to the business so I cannot redeem. Calls to customer service are answered by a person who can only tell you that you will receive an email within 24 hours! No customer support, no ability to access the gift, nothing. I finally went through Gyft on safari on my phone and found the QR code- but the phone app simply does not work and when a customer buys a gift card from a local business they have no idea it is going through TWO internet businesses, at least one of which is hugely flawed.

Whatever you do, just DO NOT do business with this company. I purchased a gift card, and my account was charged. When at the store for the gift card, it did not go through. But it says that I used it. It has been two weeks now and I cannot get through on the telephone. The only email I have recieved in two weeks has been "Some times people forget that they used it, are you sure you didn't forget?" This company is a scam.

I should have read the reviews here first... terrible experience they basically stole my money with no explanation. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I'd never heard of gyft until today when I received an email with my password reset link. I never signed up with gyft, therefore I wouldn't have requested a password reset. Do not use this app!!
