We really appreciate your support for a small UK family business and can’t wait to welcome you back again soon (Bailey (Our Lab) gives it two paws up 🐾).

Thank you so much, Lesley — we’re really pleased you love the quality of your new Pro Leads! 🐾
We completely understand your comment about delivery speed. As a small, family-run business, we carefully manage our stock and dispatch within our stated 1–5 working day promise — your order was sent on day 5 and delivered the very next day.
Working this way helps us keep prices as low as possible while maintaining the high quality and personal service that our customers expect. We truly appreciate your patience and your support of a UK family business.
Warm regards,
Craig & the Team at The Gundog Catalogue
Our dogs rate the treats as 5*
Our dogs rate the treats as 5*
We've bought the beef titbits- loved those but crumbly and breakdown quickly in your pocket.
Venison / duck sausage bites. Brilliant training treats. They can be split by hand to make smaller if required.
Fish puff squares - dogs go nuts for these!
Twisted fish skins - the one I won't reorder, quite big and as my dogs scoff treats, I didnt think these worked for us.

Thank you so much, Mrs Davies — what a lovely review to read! We’re delighted your dogs are enjoying their treats (especially the venison and duck bites — they’re a big favourite here too 🐾).
We really appreciate your honest feedback on the beef titbits and fish skins — it’s this kind of insight that helps us continue to refine our range and make sure there’s something perfect for every dog.
Thanks again for supporting our small family business — please give your lucky dogs a treat from us! 🐶💛

We’re sorry your order was delayed, Mark. Your purchase was placed at 4:16pm on 29th October and was due for despatch within 5 working days (by 5th November). Unfortunately, an unexpected supply delay pushed this by two working days — not nine.
A full refund has now been issued. While we appreciate delays can be disappointing, we are a small UK family business doing our best to communicate honestly and deliver quality products. We take great pride in our reputation and respectfully reject any suggestion of being a “scam.” as suggested in your email to us.

Hi Kirk,
Thank you for the great review — we really appreciate it!
We completely understand your point about PayPal — it’s a question we get quite often. Unfortunately, PayPal’s very high transaction fees and their habit of withholding funds without notice make it increasingly difficult for small independent businesses like ours to keep prices fair and cash flow stable.
To protect our customers and hold our great prices, we now use Shopify Payments (powered by Stripe) — a fully secure platform with the same buyer protection as PayPal. We’re also exploring new options such as Super Payments, which rewards customers with cashback for every purchase.
We’re delighted you found the site easy to use and our prices great — thank you again for supporting a small, family-run British business!
Kind regards,

Hi Rebecca,
Thank you for your kind words about our products and pricing — and for still leaving four stars even though we slipped up on dispatch timing. You’re absolutely right, this order took longer than it should have, and we completely hold our hands up to that one.
We do try to balance fair prices with careful stock control to keep costs low for customers, but on this occasion, we got it wrong and we’re sorry for the delay. We really appreciate your understanding and your support of our small family business — it genuinely means a lot.

Outstanding little company with great customer service!
I ordered a slip collar for my son as part of his birthday present (he is training to be a dog trainer and has a young pointer).
The delivery due date came and went (ROYAL MAILS FAULT) and the company reached out to ask how my order was and I explained the issue with it not arriving yet.
Craig was extremely helpful, polite and professional and advised if it hadn't arrived by the following day he would send another.
This was enough to push my multiple missing parcels (from different companies) through Royal Mail and the two slip collars arrived on the same day.
I advised Craig they'd been delivered and asked if he'd like me to return the 2nd collar to which he said we could keep it as a spare and even gave me a 10% lifetime discount code.
I wish all businesses looked after their customers in this way (even if I'd have had to send the 2nd collar back).
As a side note, the slip collars are excellent!! Finally a collar with a stopper that actually works and keeps it in the correct position consistently.
100% Recommend and will definitely use again.

Thank you so much for such a kind and thoughtful review — this really made our day!
We always do our best to look after our customers (and their dogs!), and it’s great to hear everything arrived safely in the end. Royal Mail can occasionally test everyone’s patience, but we’re really glad we could get it sorted quickly for you.
Please pass on our best to your son — we hope his training goes brilliantly, and that his young pointer enjoys many adventures with the new slip collars!
Thanks again for your support and recommendation — it means the world to our small family business.

Ordered some training toys for my dog…
Ordered some training toys for my dog 9th October! I had an order confirmation and money was taken! But thats it! no confirmation when it will be delivered, or if its even been dispatched this was 7 days ago, ive emailed them 2 days ago which I got an automated email back saying they will be in touch 3 days ago!! Ive rang about 7 times and just get a voicemail to leave a message which I have but nothing!!
Yet my son bought something Sunday it was delivered 2 days later....If there has been a problem with my order then let me know at least that there's a delay but im sat here wondering if im ever going to receive it at all!! I understand they could be busy but they should have some organisation for responding to order queries...IF I ever receive it I definitely won't be using this company again!!!!!!!

Hi Nicola,
We’re sorry to read this review — your order placed on 9 October was within the normal five-working-day dispatch window stated clearly at checkout and on every page of our website.
We’ve tried to reach you to clarify this, but as your message suggested you’d rather cancel, we’ve now issued a full refund.
We appreciate your feedback and wish you and your dog all the best.
