Ordering and pickup was a smooth process.

Needed help finding something late at night at the last minute. Matthew and Carol were helpful and got me squared away.

We had the pleasure of being served by your very lovely young sales girl Sophie. What a tribute to your store she is with her very friendly nature & extremely helpful customer service skills. I wanted to try on four different styles of country/equestrian boots but finding this difficult getting the size & calf width correct. Sophie could not have been more helpful with suggestions & advice. Unfortunately, my size & calf width was not in stock in the Dublin River brown colour option so I could not make the purchase yesterday but we will be back. A VERY BIG thank you Sophie; you will do very well in life 👍

Staff were extremely helpful ensuring we had the discount we should and our military discount which we almost forgot about. Polite well mannered in the store and we made an additional purchase online.

Visited the Basingstoke store and explained that the three air beams I had purchased were the wrong ones for my tent and that I had been advised to bring them to my local store for a refund and a further purchase of the correct ones. So far so good. To which the males shop assistant then called for a foot pump. I assumed he was going to test the three air beams to make sure they were not damaged. When the pump arrived I asked what it was for and he replied “to replace the broken one” I then pointed out that it wasn’t a pump I was wanting to exchanged. After a short while looking up my order he informed that he was going on his break, called up another assistant and walked away. I thought this was very rude. He should have completed his job with me then go on a break, the store was not busy with just a few customers walking around. Then had to explain the whole story again to the second assistant who could not have been more helpful. When I had finished paying for the new air beams I spoke to the manager who had taken payment and informed him about the first assistant and lack of customer service to which he stated he understood my thoughts but his staff had to take a break at a specific time. This boils down to bad customer care and bad staff training . Tried the attached and the link does not work. Found an email address and confirmed my comments. Got a reply saying to complete one of the generated forms from your website. The drop down menu does not cover the topic of complaints therefore in order to get past the subject field, Iclicked returned and copied in my report. Got another reply advising me how to return an item obviously not read by a human. Replied to the email requesting the body of the report be read before you send out an auto generated reply.

We came into go outdoors today, my daughter had lost her phone, Carol helped us to find it immediately. Then she was super helpful with finding the right thing for our yeti cup. She was very helpul and kind. If only every store had a Carol!

In Basingstoke the staff is incredibly good , each of them were very helpful ,kind and friendly , customer service to the cashier , no words, that was the first best experience for me during this four years stay in England ,even my 10 years daughter said she wants to be like them one day, because they were extremely marvelous ❤️

Carol one of the assistants was extremely friendly, helpful & professional. She went out of her way to make sure that we got what we wanted & I certainly recommend this excellent store.

Nuriye has given us expert guidance on outdoor clothing on several occasions and Mary on shoes. We have been spoilt for choice with the extensive stock at Go Outdoors, Basingstoke.

Used a customer account plus additional discount card. The savings were different (much less) to what stated. In addition when I checked later the higher price items were available online for considerably less cost.

Terry and Cullen were extremely helpful whilst I purchased my bike. I was provided with loads of information and advice before my purchase and they made the experience very enjoyable. Since that Ive used my bike everyday and it's been the best thing I've bought for a long time. Thanks guys 👍🏼

Let me just start by saying that Ellie in footwear was amazing!! My wife and I popped in looking for hiking boots and didn’t realise how much more there is to it. Ellie is extremely knowledgable in her field, and guided us through from start to finish and am now kitted out with a great pair of boots. Thank you. We will be back soon.

The customer person, grunted at me to go to till 1 , there were no perlite chat, she was very officious, was not offered a bag until after I had paid, not a good representative of the company

Really good price, easy to buy online and then pick up locally

Pointless waste of time. Ordered 2 camping chairs online for click & collect. Never got an email to confirm they were ready to collect. Chased store on return from holiday to be told they were lost in transit. I was then told I had to contact customer services to arrange refund, which will take 5 working days. They have had my money for 6 weeks. No contact from then re the issue, no attempt to fulfill contract. Waste of my time from the start.

Helpful staff - excellent prices when coupled with the Membership, good range of products

I ordered a Berhaus Air 400 on-line and had a very stressful time with the delivery company EVRI, so I went and bought another from the store to ensure I had one for the upcoming stormy weekend. I was served by Matthew, who was very kind and friendly, and assured me I could return it if the other one turned up, which it did - eventually. (No stars for EVRI!)
The tent stood up very well to the storm, so glad I had it.
Matthew also found me a replacement repair kit, when I discovered it was missing from the store-bought tent.
I also had a lovely kind and helpful email from Alifa in customer services when I emailed them about my delivery problem and also about the missing kit.
I also had help sorting EVRI and tracking the missing tent, from the kind person who answered when I phoned the helpline about the delivery problem (sorry, I forgot the name).
All in all I felt cared for and looked after exceptionally well by all the GoOutdoors staff that I had contact with. Thank you!

Visited to purchase a pair of walking shoes, had several in mind. Was helped by Arianna. She was brilliant engaging smiley and very helpful, think she brought 7 or 8 options in different sizes until I finally made up my mind. The Merrell Accentors seem to be perfect.
