Gibbs Gillespie - Northwood Arvostelua 

Been a Landlord customer since 2004 - business has changed hands ownership over time and fees have gone up but service has drastically deteriorated. Slow (if any) responses - personnel changes - no access or interest from Directors when issues are escalated .. just constant apologies but little action. Service levels are at best "shocking"

Gibbs Gillespie have been my estate agent to introduce new tenants for our two properties. All the people at Gibbs Gillespie are always professional. I have recently been speaking to Marta and she has been very helpful in liaising between myself and our tenants. Nothing is ever too much …Marta is super efficient and always answers to emails and phone calls promptly. She is extremely professional, very polite and helpful, a credit to Gibbs Gillespie. My experience with Gibbs Gillespie's Northwood branch was extremely disappointing. It took them two months to return our deposit after we vacated the property, despite our landlord confirming there were no issues.

We had already submitted a vacate form, which included all the necessary bank details for the deposit return. Despite this, I sent a few follow-up emails that were completely ignored. When I called their office, I was told to complete a deposit release form—information they could have easily conveyed earlier. After submitting this form promptly, there was still no response to my emails or confirmation of the deposit being processed.

I had to call again, send even more emails, and eventually visit their office in person before anything was done. Even after all this follow-up, they still took nearly a month after receiving the deposit release form to return the deposit.

This same branch repeatedly called us during our tenancy asking for 5-star Google reviews, yet when it came to fulfilling basic responsibilities, they were completely unprofessional and unresponsive. I would strongly recommend avoiding Gibbs Gillespie if you value clear communication and efficient service.

5 years ago, GG sold our property within a month of listing with them after over a year with a competitor. We then were welling our current property over the past year which was further afield so didn't go with GG at first. What do you know several months past and the other agents hadnt produced any offers. Once again within a month GG Northwood had secured a buyer for us. This is not a coincidence. Amazing service all around from Michael and the team. I cannot thank you enough!

I went through Gibbs Gillespie for my new property and they were not at all professional. It looked like they’re only bothered about letting out properties and once they let it, they don’t bother to support. Particularly to name here is Grace who is disguise for Gibbs. Her behaviour was extremely rude over the phone and then she tells Marks who calls me and start bashing me for being rude to his staff and disconnected the phone. He didn’t even had a courtesy to listen the other side of the story and he calls himself as a manager. Later when it come to leaving the property, Mark did not cooperate even at all which felt like it was more personal issue rather than showing professional behaviour.

I am writing to say that I am very happy with the service I have received from Gibbs Gillespie in Northwood. 2 members of staff are worthy of mention: Mark Lander & Daniella Baldus who worked together to secure a let for us on a local property. Both were very professional, helpful & a pleasure to work with. I look forward to dealing with them again in the future.

I have been a satisfied customer for over five years, having rented a property through this agency. I provided timely notice and vacated the property as agreed. However, a month after moving out, I began receiving messages demanding payment for June, which I did not owe.

I immediately contacted their Northwood office, and a representative promised to return my call, but never did. I received another message regarding the payment and reached out to my landlord, who confirmed that he had informed the agency that I was not responsible for this amount.

When I called the office again, the representative I spoke with was quite rude and showed no interest in resolving the issue, suggesting instead that it might be a system error. Despite my attempts to resolve this, I received a third message, followed by calls asking when I would pay the outstanding rent.

I have repeatedly contacted both the landlord and the agency, providing emails and messages as proof, yet the staff remains indifferent. This situation has disrupted my work, forcing me to explain myself in front of colleagues, which is entirely unacceptable.

As someone in a senior role, I find this level of customer service appalling. If my company treated clients in this manner, we would have no business left. If this issue persists, I will consider seeking legal advice.

Once our purchase offer was accepted and Danielle was appointed as our point of contact, she was so instrumental in ensuring the sale went through. She always kept us updated, responded to all calls and requests, and kept in constant contact with both sides solicitors to help whenever we experienced issues that needed resolving. The purchase was not made easy by the sellers solicitor who was really slow, but throughout Danielle helped wherever she could to speed matters up and ensure we reach a successful sale. I was really impressed with the whole experience of our purchase and would have no hesitation n recommending Gibbs Gillespie.

There is a lot of competition with estate agents in Northwood, we chose Gibbs Gillespie as we found they were very professional at our initial meeting and had really done their homework. Whilst our sale became protracted and fell through once, we are very glad that we went with them, a friendly, professional service all the way through and would definitely recommend them.

Houses are OK, but they rip you off with £75 pounds when you want to buy a flat. They charge you to "verify" your residence status even if you are British.

Would rate 0 only if it was allowed, check out exp and getting the deposit back with Gibbs has been nothing short of a nightmare. After several follow ups, landlord confirming that he has provided all the information requested by them, I'm still waiting to get my deposit back even after 4 weeks of vacating the house. I will strongly suggest to avoid this company at all cost.
