Genetic reports describe probabilities and predispositions, not exact traits or diagnoses. The results estimate how likely a certain characteristic is based on the genetic variants analysed.
Hair colour is a good example. It is influenced by multiple genes and their interactions, and sometimes also by factors that are not fully captured in a standard analysis panel. Because of this complexity, the test may indicate a lower genetic probability for red hair even if someone naturally has red hair.

Ho eseguito il test NIPT
Ho eseguito il test NIPT, ovvero il test di DNA fetale, il servizio è stato impeccabile dall’inizio alla fine. Il prelievo è stato effettuato a domicilio e i risultati sono arrivati prima di quanto pensassi. Ho approfittato dell’offerta invernale e alla fine rispetto ciò che offre la mia città la spesa è stata sostenibile. Lo consiglio a tutte le future mamme e papà che desiderano effettuare questo tipo di screening genetico.
