Bunch of crooks
This company will lie, try to gaslight, and steal your money. They blame you for their mistakes and then forcibly charge you to rectify the situation. I ended up nearly £200 out of pocket because of this horrible company screwing up and then springing hidden fees upon me. Not to mention they make up their own stories to blame you for their mistakes. No accountability whatsoever.

got a 5 year test carried out on a 5 lt…
got a 5 year test carried out on a 5 lt compressed air cylinder and it passed, but was empty due to them having a non functioning compressor . took it locally to be filled and it leaked from the neck seal . returned for fix . they refused any responsibilityfor the matter and ground the test stamp off the cylinder and condemmed the cylinder as excessive corrosion internally .time frame for this was same day . something is very wrong with their testing procedure and non existant customer service. stay well away is my advice

Thank you for the review.
The reason for your cylinder having failed its periodic test is because the neck thread was worn on the cylinder, as such this would not allow an adequate seal between the valve and cylinder, which can potentially be dangerous.
Having explained the above reasons to you in person, we gave a full refund as a goodwill gesture and returned the cylinder in its original condition.

The person who answered my call after 30 minutes was not pleasant at all, very miserable and unhelpful. I will use an alternative company next time. He made me feel as though I should nor be bothering him.

Such a shame that Gas UK Ltd have gone down hill.
UPDATE : Ben got in contact with me and explained that there was a problem with the website which was causing orders to get cancelled and that my email enquiries were sent to the manager who was on holiday. The cylinder was collected for free and my £30 has been refunded however I am yet to see my deposit returned.
ORIGINAL REVIEW : Such a shame that I've had to resort to leaving a bad review after being a satisfied customer since 2018.
The 5 litre Co2 was not in stock when it was time to replace it so I have gone elsewhere for my gas.
So this is my complaint, I've paid for the collection of the empty cylinder. This was cancelled with no reason given, no refund given and Gas UK Ltd cant even be bothered to respond to my email enquiries.

I am sorry to hear of the issues you incurred whilst ordering with us. We regularly cross check our prices with other suppliers and we will price match on genuine like for like sales. The full deposit is explained at the time of the order and is not processed until the customer fully understands, a full deposit is refunded once the cylinder has been returned within the first year.

UK Gas are not to be trusted
Returned a faulty gas bottle (gas valve). They test in their facility and say no fault and charge me £30 for sending the bottle. I am also a gas safe engineer so reasonable to think that I know a faulty valve when I see one. These guys stitched me up. Don't let them do it to you. Shop around for gas cylinder supplier with good reviews.

Thank you for leaving a review and please accept my apologises that you are unhappy with the outcome of the testing. The Gas Cylinder and valve were sent to and independent test centre and not in our own facility! I can see from your account that your order was placed on the 21st of July and the issues were only made aware to us in early October, some 3 months later. As explained, a free collection was given to you to collect the cylinder before testing, then if no fault or issues were found a collection charge of £30.00 would be charged from the £60.00 deposit you paid, and the other £30.00 deposit would be refunded. If a fault would have been found, you would receive a free collection and the whole £60.00 deposit refunded. As the independent test centre found no fault only £30.00 of the deposit was refunded. Once again thank you.

Stone age business model
It took GAS UK over a month to deliver the cylinder I ordered. I've now emptied it and when trying to return it they're charging me a non-refundable £25+VAT for the collection of the empty cylinder or I'm free to walk-in their warehouse to return it, which just so happens to be in the middle of nowhere. None of this is mentioned in their T&Cs.
Wait times to talk to their Customer Service are 1 hour + and they're not customer-oriented at all.
This is a poor business model, it's a wonder this company continues to operate. Someone in their upper management should get sacked and replaced with a forward-thinking 21st century individual.
PS. Scrap that website of yours as well and re-do it completely, it's painful to watch and navigate in this day and age.

Thank you for leaving us a review, I am sorry to hear that you feel this way. I have looked into the delivery and can see that the delivery was attempted to be made but was not at an appropriate time for yourself, I can only apologise and say that we no longer use that transportation company and have changed to a more reliable company, the timescale for the delivery is clearly stated in the terms and conditions section 11.2.
As for the empty cylinder collection it is very clear on all our pages on the website as it a tab on the top of every page you visit, and if placing the order over the telephone, staff do inform of the returns procedures and policies. The charge is for the return transportation and is a charge and not refundable. Once received in our warehouse any refundable part of the original deposit will be refunded back to a customer. Our warehouse is located half a mile from junctions 23 of the M6 and next to the A580 directly in-between Liverpool and Manchester, sitting alongside major international companies so I find the middle of nowhere remark irrelevant and needless.
As for the wait in your telephone call I can only apologise and say I am currently upgrading all our customer service procedures and training on telephone manners, unfortunately we did only have 1 member of the staff in on the day of your call that was not from our customer service team due to personal matters.
We are currently developing a new and modern website that is currently in the final stages of its development and will be launched very soon.
All I can do is send my sincere apologies and do hope you will return to us and give us the opportunity to offer you the first-class service we provide.

I have never in my life written a negative review as I do understand from a business owners perspective that sometimes we do have bad days but I am forced to write a review because this is very bad!
I didn't get my full deposit refund back, as I was expression myself to the lady she just cut me out and ask " do you want your refund or not?" which actually got me angry because I want my full refund so I asked "are you trying to shut me up" she said yes and gave me my last warning to answer her if I want my refund or not then she rudely hanged up on me.

I have listened to the recording of your conversation and as the lady was trying to explain if she would have been given the chance to speak. The cylinder you had taken from ourselves had a 6 month fully refundable deposit on, thus meaning if you had returned the 10 litre Helium with in the 6-month time scale you would have received your 100% refund, as you only returned the cylinder after 7 & ½ months then you would only receive a 50% refund. The lady did explain about our terms and conditions which you snapped that you have read them and fully understood them and you were aware that you were only due to receive the 50% refund, but you were demanding that because you were returning the cylinder you should be given the full amount. Staff are not here to be spoken to in an abusive and threatening behaviour or even as you state expressing yourself and that is why you were given a warning and the lady actually said “if you please don’t refrain from speaking to me in this manner, I will have no option but to end this call” as you proceeded to speak to her in that manner, she did end the call, which after listening to the call has the full support of Gas Uk Ltd. I do not understand why some people think it is totally acceptable to speak to members of staff who are just doing their job and trying to help and explain things to a customer

Worst company I have ever dealt with
Happy to take your money and eventually got my cylinder but wont pick up empty cylinder so now out of time for deposit refund and by the looks of other reports it was unlikely I was going to be refunded anyway so my advice is do not use this company as you will be ripped off.
Update eventually got in touch and found a very helpful person to deal with and empty cylinder was picked up and refunded within 3 days so they can do it if they want to but its a lot of time waiting on the phone to get through to anyone.

Excuses after excuses when calling about orders. Last Gas ordered, never turned up. Empty Gas Bottles returned, deposits never received back. Cowboys the lot of them. Hope they choke on the money they rob from people.
