Overpriced
The guy that came out explained what was needed to automate my garage door including what motor would be required. Unfortunately garage doors fixed quoted 3 times more than another company that have gave me a price, this as mainly due to the mark up on the motor being 5x more than what you can buy it for online. It came across that they just weren't wanting a small job like a motor without supplying a full door and happy to take the £20 diagnosis charge off you. The price I was quoted was £1648 just for a motor to be installed. There are companies out there you can get a whole new door included for that.

The service is extremely quick
The service is extremely quick - repair was done within a couple of hours of me requesting a quote. The man who came explained everything and then the office gave me a quote. It did seem quite expensive for what was done but then it was worth it as it was an excellent job making a very old knackered garage door useable again.

The service was first class. The engineer was friendly and professional. He completed the job efficiently and quickly.
The only issue I have was the price. £314 seems a little excessive for a new remote and 5 minutes spent linking it.

Ripped off
Did not arrive on time (am) workman was extremely knowledgeable and worked quickly. Definitely did a good job but the price was extortionate! Had we realised what was wrong, my husband would have done it himself for £600 cheaper!!! Would not recommend

No clear guidelines on pricing. After saying the call-out charge was £19.99 this company subsequently demanded nearly £100 for the engineer spending five minutes taking the door out of 'holiday mode' and telling me I needed a new controller because he couldn't fix the unit. New controller cost was £1,250. . . . when they would then kindly refund the initial call out cost . . . .REALLY ?

The initial £19.99 charge covers the technician attending your property and carrying out an assessment. Any further costs are then explained before additional work is undertaken, and there is never any obligation to proceed. Customers are always free to decline a quotation and shop around if they wish.
In this instance, the technician was able to take the door out of holiday mode, but also identified that a replacement controller was required to resolve the underlying issue. The quotation provided reflected the cost of that replacement and the associated work, with the initial attendance charge being deducted should the repair go ahead.
We do appreciate that a quotation of this size can come as a surprise, and we’re sorry if the pricing structure was not made as clear as it should have been from the outset.

I think they are over priced
Very fast to show up . Are told the garage door needed 8 new door straps . They quoted be over £800 to supply and fit . I declined it . Local company ended up doing the job supplied and fitted £310 .
