I have been trying to set up my payout IBAN for over 10 days, but the app keeps showing an error: ‘There are problems calculating your payouts.’ I have contacted support multiple times and only received delayed, generic responses. I am a student living in Germany and I urgently need access to my blocked account funds for my living expenses. Ticket #1185014 is still unresolved. I expected much better service from Fintiba.

I have been stranded in germany for a month now because fintibas verification phase is just not ending so that it releases my own goddamn money, DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM, use expatrio instead atleast its worth the fee. The customer suppport doesnt work nor are they replying to emails. I had to transfer my funds from coracle as they closed off while i was still in germany and now fintiba isnt accepting my visa date either cuz "it was before account opening" maybe check these things before you take someone's money?? Trash organization.

I arrived in Bremen, Germany, at the end of July last year. The visa I obtained at that time was valid from March to the end of September 2025. After arriving in Germany, I applied for my first visa extension. I had my in-person appointment in November and received a visa valid from November to the end of March 2026 (this year).
​Then, on the 14th of last month, I applied for my second visa extension. The Bremen Immigration Office (Ausländerbehörde) has not yet notified me for an appointment; I only have an officially recognized email confirmation proving that I have submitted my visa application.
​Now I am facing a problem. This month, the balance of my 12-month Fintiba blocked account ran out. According to Fintiba's regulations, the first blocked account payout is calculated based on the visa start date. Therefore, when I first arrived in Germany in July, I received a lump-sum payout covering four months (from March to July).
​Last week, I closed my original Fintiba account and opened a new one. Now, I am stuck at the visa upload stage with Fintiba because, even though I have submitted my extension application, my actual visa has expired and cannot pass Fintiba's verification. I contacted their customer service, and Fintiba required me to provide a Fiktionsbescheinigung (provisional residence document). However, the Bremen Immigration Office is incredibly inefficient and simply does not issue a Fiktionsbescheinigung. The email the BSU sent me clearly states in black and white that the email itself serves as my proof.
​The Bremen government considers the appointment confirmation email, submitted before the visa expires, to be sufficient legal proof of my status. Yet, Fintiba is completely rigid and refuses to accept the email. Since I do not have a Fiktionsbescheinigung, there is currently no way to get them to acknowledge my legal application.

Opened an account with Fintiba and moved to Germany, was supposed to receive my first payout on the 2nd of April but it failed due to some credit issue. I call the customer service and they basically do nothing, send two emails with no response. I called again today and as I go to explain my issue the lady just hangs up, avoid this company like the plague!!! They don't care about your money or anything. It's been almost 2 weeks now and I still didn't receive my first payment.

In 24 hours they response every email. Fast tosetup blocked account and variety of payment options. Most importantly reliable.

Fintiba, is very good and trusted platform. The main thing is their support service is very quick and good in quality. I recommed it to everyone.

Very disappointing experience with Fintiba.

My monthly payout is delayed with no clear explanation. I was told multiple times the money would arrive, but it didn’t. Support keeps giving vague answers and no exact timeline.

This is unacceptable, especially for students who rely on this money for basic living expenses.

Fintiba facilitated my transition into Germany; it monitored and followed up on my progress, each step of the way. It felt like having a trusted companion by my side, providing valuable support and lessening my worries.

the fee, even though its monthly payed its way too high, specially for students. I know deutsche bank used to charge 200 EUR for the blocked account but at least it was a well established german bank. For a bank that is practically unknown that runs only online to charge an additional of over 150 euros to just be able to have an account that is unfortunately imposed to foreigner students who often dont come from money to begin with to me is taking advantage of the system and the people that are affected by it.

I am extremely disappointed with Fintiba. They are quick to deduct high fees (159€ opening fee + monthly fees), but when it comes to providing the service, they fail miserably. It is already the 14th of April and I still haven't received my monthly payout. As a student, I rely on this money for my basic needs. Their lack of planning for holidays has put me in a serious financial crisis. I would NOT recommend Fintiba to anyone. Avoid them if you don't want to be left stranded without money in Germany!

Fintiba provides abysmal customer service; they simply do not respond to emails. You could be starving without your basic needs being met and they wouldn't care; even then, they won't release your money. They rejected a transfer to my German IBAN and more than a week has passed without them resending the funds or providing any explanation. This service is failing to meet its obligations. If you have other app options, try them instead, because this is just a profit-driven bank. Never again with Fintiba. TERRIBLE SERVICE!

An absolute headache of a company. They haven’t been able to deposit my first payout for almost half a month. Which means I haven’t been able to pay my rent or my food for half a month. They said my issue would be resolved at the latest on Monday and when I called today (on Monday) they told me that it would be resolved during this week. I have no trust left in this company. They also haven’t provided the bank account that was supposed to be included in my plus package. Use anything else so that you don’t have to worry about not having access to the money that you own. This is completely against the point of a blocked account and the German visa process.

I closed my blocking account with fintiba after my move to Germany fell through.
They have apparently refunded the €12.000 that I had with them, but my account now shows €0 on fintibas side and I haven't received the funds. Their email support takes weeks to reply to simple requests and today their phone team hung up on me. No idea what to do.
