Explorer Travel Insurance Arvostelua 

Great price and great service. Insurance was quick and easy to take out. We had reason to make our first ever insurance claim and were amazed at the speed and efficiency of the settlement. Will definitely use Explorer again.
Plenty of useful travel advice follows sign up but could perhaps cut down on the emails.

We've used them several times before over the years and found them both competitive and helpful when discussing medical screening or changes.

It was my mother that put me onto Explorer Travel Insurance and I will 100% be using them again. It was dead simple to fill out the details online and I have been very impressed with Ian's communication (he types all his own emails - not a bot...!).
Just got back from our 2-week holiday and all ran smoothly - but appreciated being reminded about emergency numbers before departing.

Good price and good coverage. What I can't comment on is the claiming experience because, luckily, I haven't had to lodge a claim. But the price and coverage was so much better than the big companies with lots of TV adverts. Although its completely different, I hope this is the 'Bank of Dave' of the insurance world!

I, like most reviewers, am happily in the position that I have never had to call on travel insurance. That said, even at the age of 75, Explorer Travel Insurance premiums are fair and I have no reason to believe that it will not fulfil its obligations in the event of need.

This is my second year of Explorer Travel Insurance. The one I chose when I resumed travelling outside the UK. Lots of updated advice contained in regular emails, details of where and how to claim too. I haven’t made a claim yet hence the four star

In the first half of 2025 I took out Annual, Multi Trip travel insurance with Explorer Travel Insurance, including cover for declared medical matters for both my wife and I. Cover was for WW excluding USA, South America and Far East, and all for about 45 percent of what my previous insurer was quoting and whom I had been with for 3 years. I did compare like for like. I was taken aback and checked thoroughly I was obtaining practically like for like cover.
I have never made a claim against any travel insurer in the past nor my current Explorer Insurance so apart from cost comparison I could not comment further except to say Explorers regular news letters by email keep me abreast of whats happening in this field and I feal reassured that I am in good hands.

I sadly had to claim for delayed luggage on a long haul flight. My claim was paid out really quickly without quibble. A great company. Highly recommend them.

Easy to use good prices will be using again for 3rd year.

Very happy with this insurance. Bought it for my son when he travelled with University and I elected for gadget cover. He broke his phone and it was replaced pretty painlessly. I note that they offer 60 day multi trip cover so as soon as my current insurance expires I will switch to Explorer too.

Brought a years cover for my self and my wife. The process was easy and the cover easy to understand. Like all insurance I hope I don’t need it but this team gives a reassuring fell. I had to update my wife’s medical cover this was easy with the help of the friendly agent. Thanks

Great value and communication excellent

Very easy process to take up the policy. Very regular contact from the company to keep me up to date. This suggests some effective communication will be forthcoming in the event of a claim, something I thankfully have not had to do to date. Good value. Good experience.

We opted for 12 months cover and were very pleased with the price compared with other companies.
The transaction was easy and the conditions of insurance were clear, covering all the needs we had.

Always used Staysure until I came across Explorer. Great company and you'll be impressed with Ian's prices. Love the regular emails. Couldn't ask for better. Will renew again in December for another annual policy

Having used several travel insurance companies since we became too old for our banking app to cover us!! I was glad to find Explorer, it is more than an insurance policy, there are useful tips to aid the traveller and frankly it feels like a friend travelling with you. Fortunately I have had no need to use the policy yet but used the advice and support whilst travelling. Thank you Ian for not being a ‘faceless’ agent but a helping hand.

I had to cancel my holiday due to cancer treatment but Explorer paid out when I claimed after verification from my doctor. I have now taken out another policy with them as my treatment has finished and I am cancer free.

This guy and his company are amazing. We had always used Staysure until we came across Ian's company and are glad we did.
Ask for a quote! You have nothing to lose and mist likely something to gain.

Ian was so helpful on the phone discussing Policy options for travel to Australia and was interested in finding best Policy for a pensioner on fixed income.
He also has good sense of humour, but appropriate for discussing what happened if you did not survive the trip ! I can recommend his small firm highly with good ethical standards, David Clow 17.10.2025
