I would strongly advise others to think carefully before purchasing from this company.
I reported faulty light fittings on 22nd February, and while I have now finally received a refund for the lights themselves (on 10th July), the overall experience has been extremely frustrating and disappointing.
The fittings were advertised as “The high quality aluminium frame houses large clear glass panes and is finished in a chic midnight black.” This led me to believe the frame was aluminium and therefore would be resistant to rust. However, after only three months of installation, all 15 lights began to rust in the corners of the frame, which raised concerns for me about whether the product matched my understanding of the description.
When I first reported the issue, the company attempted to deflect responsibility rather than address the fault. They initially suggested the problem was due to coastal air, despite the lights being installed in the central Midlands. They then blamed direct exposure to weather, even though these are outdoor lights designed for such conditions. I was also told that the issue was not rust but “corrosion”, and was advised to clean the fittings, remove the rust, repaint them, and apply a protective coating—all on lights that were only three months old.
In my experience, the fittings were of poor quality and failed shortly after installation, which meant I had to pay for replacements and additional labour to have them removed and reinstalled. Despite raising this, no compensation has been offered for the labour, fuel, or time involved.
Returning the faulty items was also unnecessarily difficult. I was given a collection date but no instructions that the lights needed to be individually packaged in their original boxes. As a result, the courier refused to take them. I then had to spend over three and a half hours returning the items in person, at my own expense.
Communication was also very poor. I had to send multiple emails and make several calls just to get updates, and at least three of my messages were completely ignored.
While I eventually received a refund for the products, it took nearly five months and required significant effort on my part. The lack of accountability, poor communication, and additional costs I incurred mean this is not a company I would recommend.
Overall: poor product quality, poor customer service, and a very difficult returns process.
I wish I had read the other 1 star reviews on here before buying.
