I purchased a dining table and 8 chairs from Ellison Studios — table and chairs purchased as a set on a single order. The chairs were defective.

After months of failed replacements I requested a full refund for the complete purchase. This matters under Australian Consumer Law: when goods are purchased as a set and the business repeatedly fails to supply them in acceptable condition, the consumer is entitled to a full refund of the whole purchase — not a selective, partial one.

On 8 May 2026, Ellison Studios refunded both chair orders but not the table from the original order ($2,699). I followed up on 19 May 2026 requesting the table refund and collection.

On 22 May 2026, Ellison Studios confirmed in writing that a full refund of $2,699 would be processed upon collection of the table, and that their delivery team would arrange collection shortly.

No one came. No refund was processed. On 26 May 2026 I followed up again. No response. Weeks have now passed since their written commitment, with no one responding to follow up communications.

There is no phone number to call. A formal complaint has been lodged with NSW Fair Trading.

The problem is not just the product. It is a business that made a written promise to resolve this, failed to keep it, and then went silent.

Avoid.

I purchased a coffee table and side table on pre-order from Ellison Studios. After waiting months, I received both to find them damaged in transit and the finish over all to have numerous defects (almost looking like what can only describe to be white bleach spots on a dark shiny finish table.

I ordered a coffee table and side table on pre-order, totalling over $3,000 including shipping. After months of waiting, both items arrived damaged and with significant defects in the finish - white spots across the dark lacquered surface that looked like bleach marks.
I contacted customer service immediately and they agreed to replace both items. Communication was slow and I had to chase for updates. Eleven days later I received an automated text to schedule delivery of a replacement coffee table.
The second coffee table arrived in worse condition than the first.
They agreed to send a third replacement and offered to send me photos beforehand. I flagged a mark visible in the photos and was told their team confirmed it was in "perfect condition." It was not. It arrived with the same finish issues, and the delivery team also knocked and dented it during delivery. They called their supervisor and I was told to contact Ellison Studios myself. I did. No reply.
I am still waiting on the side table replacement.
At this price point, I expected quality products and responsive customer service. I received neither. Three coffee tables, all faulty. No quality control. Slow, dismissive communication. I would not recommend purchasing from Ellison Studios.
